Just have to wait until it's done, I know someone who works on the game/has contact with the dev, and an update is coming, just don't know when exactly, just have to be patient

Well seeing that the MC is trying to bring money into the house by getting a job and now with his so-called 'boss' paying him an extra 300 dollars I assume for sex so why doesn't the MC just become a prostitute money problem solved but who knows what direction the dev is going with the MC.
