This is necessary in order to attract potential new patrons, as the majority of his former patrons no longer trust him and are skeptical.
Honestly, it's no one's faults but his own.
Though I don't know if he ever addressed that he's busy with life, it's apparent he never made it clear enough that they hinder the development process to the point he won't be updating (or at least, as often) for a while. Now I don't expect him to immediately signal all sirens upon the first sign of hardship or even that he should tell us the detail like he's doing now, but if he gonna trace his personal problems all the way to
the Covid days, I'm pretty sure it gives him more than enough time to judge whether these piling issues would cause him to miss deadlines and delay the releases.
Not to mention, if his sob story and plans for the future are that important, he would've just cut the shit and tell us everything in one post as there's no good reason to split into a two parter other than to garner sympathy.
