The Devs probably play around with a few ideas for certain scenes, before settling on what actually makes the cut. I'm guessing this is one of those that didn't. Possibly this scene was originally intended to be part of the contract signing, but was subsequently dropped.

A gangbang with 4 or 5 people would have taken much longer to make than the scene we got. Once you have more than three people in a scene, every render takes exponentially longer to produce with each person added. That's why you hardly ever see multi-person gangbangs in this type of game. Yeah, if people were prepared to wait 6 months between updates, Deep could includes scenes like that in every update. But if you want updates more regularly then a balance has to be struck. The last bar scene for instance involved four people ( five if you include Jim the bartender as a bystander), and that took a month longer than normal to make.
Deep has said that he wants to make more bigger scenes in the future. But they're not going to be in every update. They'll be every so often. My guess is there will be at least one very big gangbang scene before the end of the game. But it will probably take up most of or all of an update.

Unfortunately, the Bar won't feature in the next update, because Friday night is the earliest we can get it. So it's probably several updates off yet. Anna still has to persuade Emily to join in anyway and probably become another of Patrick's Toys in the process. Perhaps Anna and Andrew will start their long delayed chat on Rebecca's Kidnapping in the next update, and Anna will finally have sex with Schmitt?Do we have any clue as to where the next update will focus or is the focus on the short story at this time? Hoping for a Bar update myself

Trust me, that's the first path. The other was included mainly for people who don't want Anna to get involved in more extreme stuff. Initially Deep intended to allow people to have Anna leave the Bar completely. In fact during the last Bar scene in Chapter 1, there's a choice to do just that. But in Chapter 2 he changed his mind, and created two bar paths, which allows us to get rid of Patrick, in the same way we can rid of Jeremy, and thus have remove the blackmail oriented content.
I think originally he intended to have Anna take part in optional content, when she was in the Bar. And I suspect it was going to be in the sauna, because he has Anna starting to practise as a masseuse at one point ( she has a scene with Fitzgerald). But nothing ever came of that. Because I think they decided it was going to be too much work, having a completely different option from two paths in the Bar, where they can use a lot of the renders in both paths.
I don't think Deep ever intended originally to have separate paths at work or in the Bar. I think Anna was intended to be blackmailed, and in the Bar at least she had to go along with it, till you were given the chance to opt out. There was never going to be alternatives. You either went along with the blackmail and got the relevant sex scenes, or you opted out, and got nothing. Because essentially the game is about Anna getting blackmailed and how that corrupts her as she deals with the consequences. I think what changed was that a lot of people were playing the game, that Deep probably didn't envisage initially. Who wanted Anna to be different. So over time his initial concept has evolved, and he's decided to provide options that probably weren't going to be in the game. So we get the chance for Anna to be less victimised and more proactive, and content that reflects that, rather than having her just opt out completely.
Well there is a choice from now on. The game wasn't initially envisaged to have a lot of choices, it was very linear. It was basically Anna just getting blackmailed and forced to do increasingly crazy stuff. But now it's evolved, and there's options that allow her to take an element of control, if that's what the player wants. And I think that will become more pronounced as the game develops. You'll have the option for Anna to become the toy of Jeremy, Patrick and others, but also to be in control herself, if that's your choice.
Unfortunately, David got the lowest score in the patron poll, that was held a few years ago. He'll continue to feature in the Bar, because he's kind of a fixture there. But I don't see him playing a big role. Because for some reason he just isn't a popular character. Perhaps he just doesn't stand out enough, and a lot of people aren't really seeing him. I don't know. But as things stand he's pretty much a secondary character, and the chances of him getting a sex scene with Anna are probably pretty low

I always wondered about this. Thanks for the deep dive. Hope this changes and David gets some sexy time with Anna he deserves.
