What did you do to even start this update? I'm stuck on a Thursday and everywhere I go, nothing triggers.
My save game had everything finished from the previous update. With this one, i first got a journal entry saying to check for the dildo in your room. After that, i got Jeremy quest Alfred quest, and the end of Alfred quest is where you you get Sergey´s message. I got the notification but couldn´t see the message. I chose the taxman in the previous update

I have multiple saves, each with different routes. I walked around to every location on the map, and clicked on eerything I saw in the screen, and nothing happened, and the quest log was blank. I'll go look for a dildo in her room, but that's about all I can think to do aside from starting over, which I've done dozens of times in the past with this game. And, if it comes to starting over again, I'll likely just wait till the game is completed before downloading and playing again.

Same for me. When I started the new Update (did everything from the previous Update), I could not do anything, I went to every Location but did not get a single Trigger. So I restarted with a new Save, made the same Choice and in the end I was stuck on the Porn Shooting and was not able to do that.
I will wait for a Fix or the next version.
The Jeremy event triggered the moment i finished the dildo one, which means the journal appeared when i was still on the beddroom

Yeah, well now the game won't even open, like the files all got corrupted somehow.
Guess I'm deleting everything and just waiting till the game is completed. It sucks, too, cause this was one of my favorite games on here. I've had way too many problems with this game since the new system change. I know a lot of people like Ren'Py better, but these issues never came up with Chapter 1. Hope it doesn't take years to finish. But, I'm tired of trying to troubleshoot it every new update. Good luck.
This update is full of bugs, i can´t advance the Sergey stuff myself. ANd the game itself is sluggish when acessing the journal phone and so on. Let´s wait for the dev to fix this

i played from the save file which deep always kindly prevents and i had no bugs at all even played 1st day version
Any chance for working save?

So, basically, everyone here is complaining about bugs, and not being able to advance certain quests, but you come here and claim that since we are pirates we deserve that since we don´t have the save file provided by the dev that works like a charm.
It might not be what you are saying, but it surely seems like

I really don't know why you guys have this problem. I played the original version from the beginning and as mentioned on OP only Carl-path was working. There were no problems to trigger Sergey's message nor anything else during my fresh new game nor with Deep's provided saves in-game (see save page 5 in-game).
1. Delete your old save (including your saves stored in AppData).
2a. Start a new game and choose Carl-path (because of the bug) or wait for the bugfix.
2b. Load provided save by Deep from save page 5 in-game.
3. 40 corruption points are only available on Jeremy-alive path.

So, basically, wait for bugfix. I like having multiple saves, each with multiple paths. I also like old saves to work with each new update. And, it's ok if every now and then the old saves don't work and we need to start over, but that's happened the majority of updates for me. I MIGHT try again at a bugfix, but depending on my mood at that time, I may just decide to wait til the game is completed, THEN I won't have as big of an issue with starting over and just playing fresh from the beginning, and creating multiple saves for multiple paths, like I like to do.
Of course, I don't have the same issue the others are having. My game won't even start this new update. It doesn't mater where I go or what I click on, I get a "can't do that right now" type message, and nothing else happens. I can't trigger anything.
At least in RPGM you can usually make the MC go to sleep and restart the day to trigger new events. lol

That's pretty normal for a game being a WIP specially early in development. Because then not all features are implanted and last minute changes are made.
This might be, because scenes were moved and code + variables had changed too. Basically your whole persistent save file is bugged and the game can't find the right variables anymore.
Possible that old saves won't work until we reach v0.10, after more content and variable are available for all three major paths (Carl, Taxman, Earl).
The RPGM version had way less variables compare to Chapter 2's Ren'Py version. In RPGM you were asked if you want to see the scene yes or no and nothing else.

Not at all. Actually, I expect randomness from a pirate site. Whatever is here is here and that's what we get. But, I see no reason in uploading nonworking files on here. There's no need to download broken/buggy files, so there would be no point to
When the bugfix or next update comes out, I'll probably try using the new persistent file with my old saves. If that doesn't work (it has worked in the past with other games, and I think I maybe did that with this game in the last update lol..hard to remember), I'll just go from there.
