i can't say if that path gonna change or not but it has been like that since the first early access release up until now,you mean when the game finishes ? or going for that path rn ends in game over ?
Basing any speculation off preview images without context is a dangerous and probably fruitless path. But, there are some concerns raised in the preview images. Specifically, the image where Steph is getting in the pool and the image where Tori is (apparently) explaining to Steph that you do not have to like someone to fuck them.
i can't say if that path gonna change or not but it has been like that since the first early access release up until now,
so safe to say that path will always end in a game over
EDIT: so i just remember i asked the dev about this option once and their answer is they will revisit that option in the future to make some sort of aftermath ending when the whole story is done but it will stay a dead end path.
While humans do fuck up all the time and make bad choices, there is a major piece that separates successful lifestyle couples from the rest of society and lifestyle couples who crash and burn. Communication and honesty are paramount in successful couples. While that can be said about any relationship, it is exponentially more important in couples with open relationships (or "alternative" relationships). These couples make far fewer mistakes because they set solid boundaries, adhere to those boundaries, and when mistakes are made, they make every effort to correct and make amends. This is not an "it is better to apologize than ask permission" mentality. Mistakes can cost the couple dearly and they have worked so hard to establish an amazing relationship. These couples do not risk their relationship for a night of good sex. They set rules and they stick to them, without exception. Couples who do not do that do not make it.First, and most importantly, if I'm here this forum is not irrelevant.
I, too, would like to see more uniqueness in these games. (Less shower peaking...for example...heh). So I agree with you there. But in reality, a lot of the hanky-panky would happen while peeps are away in a hotel room somewhere. So I don't mind that aspect at all, but keep it unpredictable. Humans screw up and although rules and guidelines in these sorts of relationships are used by some, even those folks are playing with fire. It all comes down to brain chemistry. We find things that cause an endorphin release and we love it. The brain adapts, makes more receptors, we need more endorphins to get the same results so we push a little further and harder. It doesn't always end well.
Exactly! I cringe reading so many of these VNs because the couple involved are rarely honest with each other or communicate about what is going on. I could accept that the communication happens off screen, except that events happen and one of the couple deliberately hides it from the other. It doesn't happen all the time in VNs but it does happen most of the time. Disasters waiting to happen. So many ways to bring drama in to a relationship without sabotaging the couple before they even begin the journey. While humans do fuck up all the time and make bad choices, there is a major piece that separates successful lifestyle couples from the rest of society and lifestyle couples who crash and burn. No need, I enjoy a well written novelI didn't intend to write a novel. My apologies!
sums it up pretty good tho,I didn't intend to write a novel. My apologies!
so to answer that i can safely assume it's the same steph or tori but outside this title. What isn't clear is whether it's steph's character model but different person or actually steph
but all in all this is one of VN that i enjoy reading the whole dialogue instead of just press ctrl like mostly other VN that i ever played
It is exciting to know that they have at least two other games planned with the same characters.so to answer that i can safely assume it's the same steph or tori but outside this title
i don't know how i missed this part but the dev already planned it out really well from the beginning (which i think the storyboard is done on their side)

What has separated and elevated this visual novel from all the others so far has been sticking to the principles of a loving married couple. We have seen that if you push too hard or make over-the-top choices for Steph to sleep with someone, it ends poorly for the couple (the "train"/cuckold path).
Even in the game, Gina points out to the MC on the first night that choosing Donny as a partner is a poor decision, one that she would never make. He is the typical meathead, overzealous, aggressive asshole that can destroy the couple in a heartbeat. He and Steph do exactly that on the first night if you are not careful.
While pure NTR fans and BBC fans will certainly celebrate this type of content, it could alienate everyone else that supports the game for the swinging, sharing, and romance features. More importantly, it erodes the confidence variable and dismantles the story of a couple who respect each other, their marriage, and the work to maintain an equal partnership. As players, we have put a lot into deciphering the choices to maximize the confidence choices and get a positive outcome for the couple.
Chances are, and the story has supported this so far, that choosing to go down the path where Steph fucks without concern for her husband, or choosing the "wrong" guy will end in a 'game-over.'
The dangerous tightrope these visual novels are forced to walk is providing plenty of hot, sexual content and avoiding going down the path "Anne" would take; fucking everyone without discriminating destroys a great visual novel. Being highly selective in who a couple chooses to invite into their bed, and therefore into their relationship, is what keeps a swinging couple healthy and happy. In a visual novel, it is what keeps the content from getting mundane and downtrodden.
Perhaps the reason Jason "checks out" and leaves his wife to have sex with her latest victim while he sleeps is that she has an uncontrollable sex drive and lacks the ability to select partners who won't harm the relationship. A husband who gets bored watching his wife have sex cannot possibly be in a healthy relationship.
In my review and in most of my comments I talk about the fact that adding certain content can destroy a great visual novel. Specifically, when the authors choose to go down a beaten-to-death path to cater to a fetish...Like race play. This includes the "slut wife" path where sex is so common and repetitive that it becomes boring. Less is more. If Steph goes on the business trip and fucks anyone there is a real danger of her slipping into the "Anne trend" that destroyed that popular game. Not to mention the "business trip porn cliché" that is painfully overdone. Unfortunately, I do not think there is any way we are going to avoid that type of content in this visual novel.
I have previously discussed that I do not personally enjoy race play in my fantasies or in my "recreational porn," like visual novels. So, a scene where Steph goes on her work trip a makes a joke about it being a pleasure trip with a black guy in a pool is too "on the nose" porn trope for me. At the risk of starting a war with what constitutes cuckold content and its merits, I will take a hard stance and say that Steph having sex with someone on a business trip is not swinging or sharing, it is cuckold content. If the trend in the game has been to show that cuckold content ends poorly for the couple, I am not sure what benefit there could be from having Steph have sex without the MC being there on the trip.
The developers do broach this topic in the first part of the game. There is a discussion between Steph and the MC where she explains that there will likely be a time when they will have sex with someone and they are not together, directly setting up the business trip scenario. It is a Steph-driven conversation that plays into the fact I do not trust her and the character is already bordering on my ability to like her. I already trust Gina more than I trust Steph; eroding trust in a protagonist is a bit risky in a story. What's done is done. It's a porn game, after all. And sometimes, the masses want what they want.
The developers of this visual novel have shown great restraint and superior story-telling ability by restricting the type of content they show and by guiding the choices of the player to a healthier, relationship-sustaining, swinger mentality (versus the cuckold). The developers have shown that they like to flirt with dangerous ideas, like cheating content, when the intention is to avoid that content for the story to continue happily. They handled the "douche Donny" issue well by making it a possible 'game-over' path. I am interested in seeing how they handle the next set of slippery content!
Yeah both of you captured my own feelings quite well - it's irritating how many games have frankly idiotic dialogue when it comes to swinging, it's almost like a 14 year old enters mc's body "hmmmm should I let her know I saw her at the park with that guy? No, I couldnt do that..." <-- and this will be said in the context of both sides of the couple already signing off, like wtf? Are you a child or a born doormat? Walk up to her and say "Hey, I liked that" or 'I didnt like that" or "We should do this" or not. The pervasiveness of both those tropes - concealing things from the other partner - and insisting on sex offscreen are by far my two biggest peeves in this sphere.Exactly! I cringe reading so many of these VNs because the couple involved are rarely honest with each other or communicate about what is going on. I could accept that the communication happens off screen, except that events happen and one of the couple deliberately hides it from the other. I definitely remember that dialogue, because it sticks out like a giant sore thumb in the middle of a high-confidence playthrough. Like what? huh? where on earth is this coming from? I mean that's a pretty big proclamation - You'd think it'd then lead to a decision point or variable set; where mc can say "no im not okay with that, we should always be together" or "yeah thats fine by me". Nope. You're on the writer's rails. There is a discussion between Steph and the MC where she explains that there will likely be a time when they will have sex with someone and they are not together
i'm just hoping the next update is before 24th of July tbhIt is exciting to know that they have at least two other games planned with the same characters.
What I find so attractive about this story is that the characters are written with intelligence and emotional maturity. There is thought put into what their motivations are. The story isn't there just to show the next sex scene. Instead, the visuals add excitement to an already hot story.
These stories are going to be a huge hit.
She kinda has man-triceps.Well, I keep starting to write a novella about all that's been stated and I have good intentions...but weirdly (and at my age this almost never happens), I keep getting distracted by that posterior shot of Steph and my brain goes blank. I am convinced there is some hidden, subliminal hieroglyphics hidden somewhere in that CG....I am searching for my aluminum foil as soon as I hit "Post Reply".
pffft....that won't dissuade me. She has a swimmer's body. As someone who used to swim competitively in my youth, I am all over that. When it comes to women, I've always been a big fan of sleekness...picture a leopard or jaguar in their prime. She kinda has man-triceps.
Problem solved , sorry in advance.
Ummmm spot renders and layeredimages bro? (at the cost of some visual/shadow fidelity)since WuzzyFuzzy called me an agent, so i'm just here to relay the recent news for all of u guys that's waiting for a new update / news
and so far the dev still keep the promises without a miss on weekly report :

wait i'm confused what do u mean layered images?Ummmm spot renders and layeredimages bro? (at the cost of some visual/shadow fidelity)
In reference to his post - talking about challenges where he cant reuse images from earlier in the scene because they want the clothing to change. If it's done smart, you create a layered image where different clothing items correspond to conditions which are then set in script.wait i'm confused what do u mean layered images?
ah, i thought ur saying i'm using a layered images that's why i was confused lolIn reference to his post - talking about challenges where he cant reuse images from earlier in the scene because they want the clothing to change. If you mean the general term, a layered image in renpy is simple an image which is a collection of several sub-images, each of which can be turned off or on depending on conditions or other logic.
For some reason you dont see them a lot in daz-style games; im not sure if that because 1-off on the scene and renders has become the norm, or because devs arent aware of spot renders? I dunno.
