I am fully on board with this idea. I like the idea of playing a new couple. It allows us to go places the first couple did not. For example, and I stress this is just for illustrating a point, the new couple could engage in cheating or activity that would have been taboo for the original characters.

I tend to view characters in visual novels like actors. We may see the same model used but the personality and behaviors are completely unique to this new idea and story. But when you use the same characters in a way that essentially gives them a sequel, it can confuse matters.

On the other hand, using established characters with their behaviors and mindset can allow an author to explore deeper and faster without having to re-establish the basics. Using Tori and Steph to play their role in a new visual novel, we know what they bring to the picture. And instead of starting from the beginning, we have two characters that we know are "old pros" in the swinging world.

I enjoy the world the developers have created here in Another Man's Wife. I would love to see Steph and the MC (or Tori and Jason, definitely Gina!) return in future stories! How fun is that?!

( i rather have them having a "real" personality like this rather than turning them to wife in heat "saying yes to any dick" mode in a long run like most AVN did.
we all remember the transformation that happened to Anne for example,

it's what made this story unique imo.)

The problem it might raise is where you go with the growth of the character. A good author would not have a problem here which is why I do not think this will be an issue in this case. But, when you run out of ways for Steph and the MC to have fun as a couple, where do you go? That answer can be ugly. I think this is what happened to Anne. She has had sex with the pizza guy, the tanning booth guy, the hot dog stand guy, the plumber, the doctor, the vacation hookup, the orgy, the coworker, the boss, the old man, the young man... I think you get it. So where do you go from there? That is where content changes occur. Hotwifing gave way to cuckolding, then to cheating.

My concern here is how the characters evolve (or devolve). When a character is written well you have a lot more mileage with her. People want to know her story and where she could go. Where I do not want her to go is any dick in any port. Or for the couple to switch to cuckolding when clearly that was a path to avoid in this story. Or was it? Maybe for those who like the sadomasochistic side of cuckolding, it was a joy for them to read about how she went full slut with Donny and how it destroyed her husband. Maybe the long story for this couple is the destruction of the marriage. I certainly hope not and don't think that will be the case considering the way this story has guided the choices.

Some people believe that the swinging -> hotwifing -> cuckolding couple will all eventually end up anything but a couple. That sexual freedom without checks and balances is unsustainable and will end all marriages that practice it. That is all rather philosophical. And I'd rather not think too much into what it means for swinging games that all seem to end the same — a natural degression into a husband and wife that no longer find love and attraction in each other.

hell when i first found this game i thought it was gonna be one and done type of AVN i play and never care about

Three of them I purchased before finishing the first playthrough: Leap of Faith, Chasing Sunsets, and this game. All very different games from each other! The first two are the reasons I love visual novels written by talented teams.

This game is about my personal kinks done right! The first time I played a game because it turned me on and they didn't screw it up! If they ever open up a Patreon, I will be happily contributing as long as they are writing games.

fetish wise for me personally having a swinging or hotwife story that doesn't cheat is way more interesting than just straight up going full heat mode, it's a turn off for me if it's just going down to the cheating / humiliation route (which most swinging or hotwife VN ended up)

I don't have played it, but i think that will be cuckold but with the husband that will lead the game… usually it's called "hotwife":

low confidence, high voyeur = cuckold (the wife will lead the game, the husband is sub)
high confidence, high voyeur = hotwife (the husband will lead the game, the husband is dom)

It's only a supposition because i have played only the "cuckold" route (low conf - high voy)… for the swinging/cuckquean i think that the stats values have to be high confidence and low voyeur, but i'm not sure of it… in my opinion the game need a walkthrough

i get where ur logic comes from but that's not how it works in this game tho imo,
because the only moment to activate "voyeur" variable in this game happens the next day not on bar night.
that's where u actually get a "voyeur" point counted in the script

if u only play the "cuckold" route with low confidence, so i guess it's the bar night where u watch steph and donny then go back to the guestroom and then have a talk with steph right ?
that one doesn't have "voyeur" points yet. that one activates a different variable called "train"
