At the very least, this would be a terrible decision from the developers as it completely destroys the routes they created, Steph's character, and replayability.
My opinion is that she and Tori are manipulating MC into an open relationship.
Perhaps she has long had someone in mind with whom she wants to sleep, and she just needs her husband’s formal consent.

That's just cheating with extra steps. If she is willing to plan and manipulate what's to stop her from just straight cheating if no consent was given.
So just to check in and make sure I'm on the same page here, there haven't been any updates with future gameplay as far as Tori's second game and onward, have there? Up to 1.06j is just past slight revisions and animations correct?
I want to make sure I keep that predictions post updated, but it sounds like we don't have much to go on yet.

Correct. There are some unused images in 1.06j for the second game but nothing in the script.

I admire your faithfulness to Steph. I'd be more confident is she hadn't lied so easily when sending MC for water so she could have one on one time with Donnie, and then the phone call, jumps Jason so easily, etc. Honesty is not her strong suite even though she expects it from MC. I don't have much faith in Steph. However, you could be right, we shall see.
I also believe she can't be cheating. That would destroy everything that has been built up to this point. I love the description of "cheating with extra steps." Combined with the lies, manipulating the MC into an open relationship does feel exactly like cheating with extra steps.

I don't have faith in Steph so much as I do in the common sense of the devs.
As for Steph and her behaviour.
She is dominant, masculine, loud, persistent, etc.
She behaves not like a loving wife, but like a bro with whom you go to the club to pick up girls.
She's a dude in a skirt who always goes for what she wants.
I don’t like her specifically because in this dynamic, on most routes, the MC has a feminine role in the relationship. He does not lead but is forced to give in and make compromises, keeping her character in check. I feel uncomfortable.
But despite this, I see that even on the “cuck route” the MC’s opinion and his consent are (for now) important to her.
Therefore, I do not believe in her cheating.

Haven't played this game yet but afraid of the character writing. By seeing the comments about MC's wife Steph and some female(Tori?) and male characters(Jason?Donnie?), they are not quite attracting based on their acts and personality. Is it worth trying to play ?
I wouldn't want to prevent anyone from trying it out. It is enjoyable. There are just certain things that bother some of us.

This is a good game with well-written characters, otherwise, there would be no discussion in this thread)
The problem for some players here is that this game initially was promoted as a "swinging story", but after several updates and edits, it seems to be going in an NTR-ish direction.
I advise you to try it yourself and form your own opinion.

Most of loved this game at the start but some of us have become frustrated with what the devs are doing with the characters and story. I recommend having a crack at the game yourself. You may like it. Please add your thoughts to the discussion if you do decide to play it.

In response to my question about toxic women I received this response from the dev. There are spoilers so ask yourself if you really want to know before reading.
Part of that is a mistake I made in how I extended a path that was supposed to end Friday night, and then later I wanted it to flame out spectacularly at Tori's - which admittedly was a bad choice. I made a couple of bad choices with that content (Which has all been covered in the news updates), and we've corrected most of it. There is still a little dialogue cleaning that needs to happen. Once that part is fully brought into line with the main line (which has remained unchanged), the rest of my answer would be as follows.
When writing an objective test (A,B,C,D answer), you create wrong answers that are called distractors. The distractors are supposed to, at times, sound more correct than the one correct answer. So if you are believing my distractors, then you probably won't believe the correct answer. But here is the correct answer:

Great post and I really appreciate you being so open with your feelings. Is this game swinging or cuckolding? Well that is a very good question. The easy answer is, on High Confidence it is swinging, on low confidence it is cuckolding, but certainly doesn't look like that at the moment. So we will see what happens there. I'm a bit mystified by the dev saying he wrote the ending five months ago while telling us the endings had changed a while back so its not clear. The game is advertised as swinging but we aren't seeing it.
For my wife and I sharing is about us. Its never about the 'bull', he or she is a means to an end. I'm certainly not a sit around in my clothes sort of guy either. Well at the start for a while but not for long. I'm there in the action with my wife and our attention is on each other. That is our ideal experience and it does enhance our sexuality as a couple for months after. In saying that other couples do it in other ways. I'm always asking questions of others in the various lifestyles. Every couple has their own thing and different guys have different kinks. I am often at a loss to understand why some of these guys have the kink they do. There is a whole spectrum of ways couples go about sharing and the kinks guy have. Sadly, porn, VNs, etc tend to have a certain stereotype which alludes to very few of us in these lifestyles. Sure there is a significant percentage of submissive guys. Just some thoughts on the devs revelations.
All the girls have their faults for sure, but the single ones are at least fun at this point in the story. Why not have a couple of nice women in the story at least? Then the guys aren't any better I guess. I don't expect characters to be perfect but I do need them to make sense to be able to immerse myself in the story which was easy to do until the Tori/Jason event.
I thought most of the spoilers were pretty evident except two, that one event being so significant with Steph, and Tori. I look forward to seeing what Steph could possibly say for herself and how that event is connected with the other little mysteries. The game has certainly not gone where many of us thought it would go, to quote a few of you.
Re-Tori, I have no choice but to believe the dev since he is the writer. I assume Steph confessed to Tori and Tori may be trying to help her but it is really a fucked up way to do it. Deception upon lies. You can't help fix people with Tori's plans that she revealed in the dialogue. Its certainly not the way to 'save' a marriage. Anyway, they are skippable in the future, I will certainly take advantage of that.
Steph certainly drives us crazy and the devs certainly walk a fine line there. I don't trust a thing she says. I'm not sure if that was their intention with her or not. I certainly wouldn't have tolerated five years of marriage with her nor her secrets.
I thought the ending of the story had changed? I'll bring that up.

I have said several times, as others also do, that in games the male version of the cuck or general partner is always described as an idiot, while the partner, a real highly selfish slut, has no respect for her partner, it's true we are in the world of fantasy, games, but you can't have 99% of these games, copy and paste, without ever having a real cuck or partner with balls, who rebels.

We’ve made some good progress this week, and in next week’s news update, we will announce an update to the game. At that time, we will discuss what’s being added to the game as well as the release of the updated demo. So no update to the game this week, but there will be one next week.
We’ve started working on the endgame, and what we are going to do is something we call end looping. In a lot of the games that I’ve played over the years, I’ve reached the end, declared victory, and then felt like I wanted something more. I do the same thing with a TV series if I really get into it. Basically, I’m not ready to say goodbye to the characters yet. So for our game, we’re going to have a clear ending, but we’re not going to end it.
If you are enjoying spending time with our characters and want to continue rather than start the game over, we’re going to have something for that. The game will end, and then it will loop you back to the MC and Steph in the house trying to decide what they want to do on a Friday night sometime after the main story is complete and all of the questions have been answered. You will then have a choice of one night scenes you can play through and then it will bring you back to our couple sitting at home trying to decide what they want to do on a Friday night once again. So the game will end with a closed loop you can play as many times as you want. And the choices will include a route to the gallery. What is available in the gallery will be based on your last game save. So if you didn’t get any scenes with Amber, her stuff won’t be active in your gallery.
When we go to final release for the game (or shortly thereafter), there will basically be two loop choices and the gallery. After release, this mechanism will give us the opportunity to grow the game while we work on the sequel. It’s like the after-hours section in that it creates a point in the game where we can add things without changing the story. We’ll start with a loop where you go back to the bar with your wife to have drinks with Gina, and we will also do one with just you and Steph. Of course each of those will lead to a scene at the house. We’ll do something similar with Paul next and then we will continue to add more of these loops, and your list of choices will grow.
These loops will be all new content. We’re not going to recycle the Friday night scene with Steph or the Saturday night scene with both of the girls for this. Those scenes would already be in your gallery (at least one will be there for sure) so you’ll be able to go back to those if you wanted.
These loops will include choices and will have some story other than, hey, let’s get a drink and hit the
bed. They are also going to be a bit of a playground for us as I hope to experiment with randomizers and some new game mechanics where the player can make choices during a sex scene that change a partner’s pleasure level and potentially unlock other content.
Of course, before the loops open, we'll end the story. And as I indicated before, there will be three basic types of endings. The first is the grand prize, you figured it all out, and you will end with a scene that sets up the next game. The second is our runner up where you figured out most of it, and you end up with a scene that let's you know all is well but you didn't quite get it all. And the third is the basic ending that focuses more on you and Steph heading towards your happily ever after with whichever new friends you chose to make. And let me stress that these are three "types" of endings. The second and third categories will have multiple versions. The grand prize, the one true ending, the ending to rule them all, ya there's only one version of that one.
