Maybe you should stop trying to follow the walkthrough literally. There are several random things in the game anyway, like which girl appears when at the pool or the gym.
And certainly don't tell zapallbugs to "fix" anything when most likely, you're the one who didn't follow his walkthrough properly...
For more understanding please read the notes that come with the sample path (not walkthrough, you can't do that for this kind of game), especially the section about random effects.
Where did you see them?Right, but... maybe... instead of adding more time, you could maybe eliminate the time limit? That would be better than adding more time.
