The debate is the level of slowness.
That said, supposedly he's having to retool large parts of it for Steam, since the game is heavy non-con.
If that is the case, he should have completed the OG version then made a Steam version, but like I said before I can understand not wanting two competing versions...but I was invested in the story as it was.

Unfortunately or fortunately, there is something personal for me and I can't afford not to finish it.

sure what he did wasn't correct and i saw many developers closing the payment options when problems in rl happen or when they are pausing the development of the game for awhile. Iddk if Notvil did that , if he didn't that is wrong he should have done it , maybe he did need the money but so do the other developers and they still close the payment option when pausing game development . Notvil should had done that yes , but its still no reason for you to go vengeful on him , you stopped giving him money didn't you? So he lost a bit of income that used to come from you , and some other people as well . No need to go on that path dude , that path won't bring you happiness even if you might think it will.

I really hope this game can be finished. It's one of the more unique games on this site that I've played. The writing and animations are great, but the thing that does it for me mostly is the overall tone/atmosphere/vibe. And yes, personal stuff sucks, and COVID also fucked up a lot of lives in many ways.

I was also under the impression the game was close to being finished anyway. Worst cast: just skip most of the porn, animations, and gameplay, and just mainly focus on some art that ends the story. Having a finished game with an okay ending is always better than a masterpiece that never got finished (and it's also easier to sell a finished game).

AFAIK Patreon is an investment, not a purchase of a finished product. It's why I don't use Patreon (see also: Star Citizen). If you have a problem with it (for example, you're not willing to risk your money on something that might never be finsihed), then don't use it. But please stop bitching about it on a fucking warez forum.
