I am simply blown away by this tech demo!!!

Really amazing game so far (a few bugs but not bad for a first release content wise)
This game has some great h-scenes as well and you get two very different set of contents it seems depending if you chose fem prota or male prota.

In terms of bugs I encountered, you get a black screen if you lose to the thugs in the encounter series (lost intentionally as was expecting Game Over Scene, guess not implemented yet thus why a black screen?)

As fem prota after the gangbang sequence in the club your character becomes invisible so you can't see where you are walking.

A few suggestions (don't know if dev is here reading these posts though?);
- The pixel animation art style is amazing, just shame there are no animated pixel scenes in addition to the h-scenes already present in the game. Perhaps some combat h-animations?

- Quick travel, those red totems look like an excellent thing to be used for quick travel, add these to each map area and offer taxi quick travel (perhaps with option to pay taxi driver with credits or alternative means if female Warden)

- Some tips or markers would be helpful to see where side quests are available I almost missed the side quest from the robot as I already did my shopping on Tuesday and robot only offered the quest on Friday or something like that. This is a bit worrying as I don't want to keep having to go back to the same places all the time to check for side quests. Some form of notification in-game would be great.

- This links to above, a map might solve this if you add in key items map and you can check this to see if new dialogue/quests/scenes are available at a certain location it should have a ! on the map and then players know to go check this.

Anyway keep up the good work, really really looking forward to this being finished!

First release, after a three year wait is the key varible here. (Technically, it's not the first release too. Thats why the first comments are from 2018.)
A "few" bugs also seems to miss the mark unless you were incredibly lucky. So far, for me personally as I said above I had three large bugs, and on the patreon almost every single post is about other game breaking bugs. Blank screens, wrong scenes playing, days breaking, perks that you don't even have activating, your gladiator spawning in and out of existence, PC becoming invisible, crashes during scenes. It's not just a few bugs, its a shitload. Some of which literally gamebreak.

Even bugs aside, almost everything else is shocking for three years development. Only health bars have an actual number displayed, there's no fast travel, theres no ability to buy multiple of an item. It's (for some reason) designed like a mobile game which forces you to hold down for two seconds to buy a single of an item with no toggle to turn it off. Some items can be bought, and just not consumed, despite being labelled as consumables.

The ingame economy is shambles. There's a grand total of 816 images in the game. Sounds like a lot, until you realise that for example 24 of those images are of a character not even in the demo doing two different arm poses and the rest are just changing the face only.

There's no map, no fast travel, the stats are completely RNG you could concievably get stuck for weeks from just bad RNG, no gallery, no completion information, no information on what you get each level up, no easy way to get information on what debuffs do, or are. I actually envy you, I can't imagine having standards so low as to consider this really amazing after 3 years of work and half a million dollars. An average if $14k per month for 3 years nets $504,000.

I don't like grind mechanics in games so I tend to cheat them. Done so on Assassin's Creed, the new Tomb Raider games etc... and done the same on this game. I used a cheat plugin for RPGM games to increase my money, it also can be used in combat to give godmode or lower enemies to 1 HP.

In any case as for a three year wait, I presume this was announced somewhere and thus how you knew about this three year "wait". Not quite sure who waits three years for h-games though.... :p

As far as I am concerned this is the first release and there was no wait so I can't quite agree with you there. Not sure if dev was already collecting money on Patreon during those 3 years? But you have to be quite silly to support a project that doesn't even have a demo release yet.

Look at the first posts in this thread. They're from 2018. That's because two years ago they released the actual first demo of this, and a year prior is when they announced they'd be making the game.

Follow the link I gave you and you can see.

Edit:
Notice by the way, the three bosses in this demo are all already in the 2017 trailer. As are some of the sprites, and poses.

It also needs to be said, that at some point 1 or 2 years ago (could even be longer) they annouced that Arenus is gonna be their "main project" now, that's why they changed the name of their patreon.

Well not the first time for a h-game to go on a hiatus after announcement :p

The only thing we can hope for is that it doesn't go on hiatus again. These devs also have other lives too and I think people on this forum sometimes behave a bit like spoiled children.

It didn't go on hiatus, are you trolling?
You first said you didn't know it wasn't the first release even though the thread is two years old. Then you said you didn't know if the devs were recieving money even though I literally linked you it. Now you're suggesting it went on hiatus even though like 50% of the thread is about them repeatedly missing the release dates that they set.

Just let it go Crim. Just like there are overly negative trolls, there are also overly positive trolls. FYI read the review they made and you will get the idea.

The Art in this game is good and I like the concept. Unfortunately it's completely unplayable because of all the bugs. Also it's unnecessarily grindy and there isn't much to do per day as of now. The balance of stress and money is bad and the fights are unbalanced as well.

Could be good if they ever finish it and work out all of the gamebreaking bugs. For now I can't recommend it though.

PS: Is it just me or are there a lot more typos in this game than any other game from Arvus?

Sadly, the fight are almost 100% intentionally unbalanced. Since you get CGs from being defeated, the developer wants you to lose at least once. Which, at least for me, kind of turns the whole story into a joke. If your "gladiator" isn't strong enough to win in the underground league, how was she supposed to win in the arena?

Whatever positives this game has are rather drained by the fact that the game is all but actively user unfriendly. The open world set dressing really is a joke given that this is a trainer game mixed with an rpg and thus makes the trainer aspects of the game a huge slog. I shouldn't need to be developing carpal tunnel after buying and using stuff from a merchant.

Biggest problem i have with this "demo" is the fact, that i can only play 1 of the 3 available girls (one arena battle and one CG scene for each girl would have been enough. I want to get a solid first impression, not 1/4 of the game for a single girl), the crazy amount of bugs after so many delays, the unbalance gameplay (you are in constant battle with stress lvl and lack of money, while the failure rate of jobs makes fun out of you) and the negative history of those devs with their other games.

They will most likely not finish it this year (nice try with the roadmap but april the first is long over) and then it will still be very bugged when it comes out. So plan for another 6 months after full release if you want a (almost) bug free game.
