Oh boy here we go

The community for this game is an absolute "gem". Getting name-called in their Discord because their guide uses genuinely ambiguous wording.

I took this "in" as "into, download into", but it's "download from", if anyone is wondering. Either way, installing this game takes insane effort, and the community is full of anime people who will deride you and call you stupid if you dare to ask any questions. Amazing experience.

Reading a guide is like taking a test okay? You read the whole thing and then use brain power to follow instructions.

"Takes insane effort", mf, this is the easiest it's ever been. this shit was rough as hell to download when it came out. Daemon tools and all that shit. Not to mention it being like 14 gigs.

I don't know where all the mods are, it's been a while since I've installed it cause it's really fucking easy.

Alright, I have managed to install it, by checking one of the Windows 10 checkmarks, and by installing .NET Core 3.1 Desktop Runtime (v3.1.10). But what I have found out is that the mouse cursor is sluggish - is there any fix? Also, how do I make the game fullscreen? There is no such setting.

Edit. Found the first point - Unlock cursor from window fixes the speed.

if these two versions arent the same you are using an older version that will likely crash.

The tsukiyo.me site tells me that the AAU in the download is 1.7, but the latest Github release is 1.9. Do I... update it? The doc tells me to not tamper with the AAU file, though......

Crys Heart From the Github installation guide: "If already have AAUnlimited installed, you don't have to install AAUnlimited again. Just unpack and overwrite the existing AAUnlimited folder to update your current install. Never, under no circumstances, shall you delete any file inside the AA2Unlimited folder."

And you do have it installed since it comes pre-installed with with the Mini. So yeah, do update it.

The doc tells you not to delete files in the AAU folder.

Download the CIV Uncensor, it's there in the guide:

Drop the 02_uncensor_CIV_v1_2.ppx in the data folder like you do for every single ppx file

and

"Make sure to enable .TGA textures in your launcher under the AA2Unlimited tab."

It's written there in the download. Meaning: when launching the game or the edit, check the MKIII box under AA2Unlimited

MKIII enables the TGA textures, it's written there between the parentheses

Your problem is that most mods currently are PPX.

You have that unchecked, instead, you have pp2 checked

Uncheck pp2 and check ppx

If they come as a Make/Play folder and not ppx/pp files then chances are the mod you're trying to use is too old and/or is already made as a .ppx mod in the mediafire/mega. The mods you find listed in the modern install guides are the only ones you need.
