Ima grab it, then. Sounds like fun, though intimidating, given the few reviews and half a lets play ive seen of it.

Also - im not going anywhere. Im already playing this and Grim Dawn interchangeably, so doing more than *one* thing isnt an issue either. I get bored, a lot. As funny as this sounds, given how much time ive spent taking this game apart (mechanically)...

Oh shit gotta keep my eye on this. I'll go through the illusion cycle again, but at least it looks somewhat decent. (And there's yuri so... yea I gotta be there)

I was hoping they'd move away from sex happening in a void space, but I guess with 2D backgrounds and fixed camera angles there isn't really a choice there

If you have AA Unlimited.
When you press run game and it hangs run the task manager (ctrl + shift + esc). Find the artificial academy 2 process (it probably would have name in Japanese), extend it, select process that is not AAU and press del/end task.

Did my eyes deceive me or did i just see two guys having a go at one chick in one of those pics? That could make things interesting gameplay wise.

Which reminds me - one of the personalities in AA2 (forgot which one) has an interesting line, when you tie during a competition. I merely overheard the conversation, so no hard quotes here, but the chick had sex with one guy, and another one came over to compete over her. They both turned to her to make a decision, she responded with something along the lines of "Both of you. Simultaneously. Unfortunately we cant do that, so im off"

Looks like the new game will have this option... will be interesting with the new games sluts: nobody will hard-compete over a slut. Just spitroast the bitch!

Can anyone tell my why is the download only 1.8 GB? The first few comments mentioned around 15 GB or something.

You have all you need. At most you'll need to update the AAU.

The difference in size is because the original game had lots of reduntant data.
When Illusion shutdown, mods took over and compiled a unified asset pack (UAP) which is referenced by all data sets in the game.
Not only that, custom chara cards are packed with all assets not available in the UAP.
Those are the main reasons the game now is so small and custom chara cards so bloated.

I actually went to the github page and it said that this 'mini' version is better just understood that.

Thing is, I can't start the game now. The launcher shows 'Not responding'. I assume it's a common problem. I tried the win10fix script in the launcher but it's still hitting me with the same problem.

The 'not responding' is because you haven't installed .net.

Take a look at the "extras" folder and run/install the "windowsdesktop-runtime-3.1.9-win-x64.exe" file.

Lol, thanks man. Finally got it running.


I must admit the character maker is something I didn't expect to be a separate thing. Maybe it's because it's kind of old. Anyway, thanks for the help.
