What does the checkbox labelled "subtitles" in script actually do? I assume it was subtitles for the "everyone, let's..." commands, but if that's the case then it doesn't seem to work for me.

1. If your AAU version is not 1.9.1 - update it. 1.8.x and some 1.7.x versions were missing their subtitles files, 1.9.x versions have them.
2. In the AAU Launcher, go to Graphics and make sure "Enable Overlays" is ticked.
3. Enable the Subtitles script.
My bet would be on 1, though: go to the AAUnlimited folder and check the subtitles folder - it probably is empty.

Huh, it is empty. Don't know why I didn't think of that earlier
I think I already updated the game, but I'll do it again just in case. Still, in the event that doing so doesn't fill the subtitles folder either, is there somewhere else I can download it separately?

Crys Heart Well...thing is, if updating AAU does NOT fill the subtitles folder, then you have a bigger problem - one called "you did NOT update correctly". If you follow the update instructions and just throw AAUnlimited folder from the archive on top of the...well...AAUnlimited folder in your game folder, all the necessary files go where they should (this is why instructions explicitly say not to touch/delete the files already in the game folder, and just overwrite them with the ones from the archive).
With that in mind, you can simply open the archive, grab the subtitles folder there and just copy/paste it to the same spot within your game folder.
P.s. I actually mentioned the subs issue a while back: I noticed it because I came back to AA and did a fresh install. As RNG would have it, this happened during 1.9.0 (empty subs folder), so I went back to grab an earlier version and just copy/pasted the subs to the game folder.

So I slapped 21_CCC_CIV_v2_1.ppx in the data folder but I'm not seeing any new clothing, I'm assuming I missed a step somewhere but I can't find anything in the guide.

So, got the AA2Mini version and went to the "AA2 PP2 Clothing List 2020" but I have absolutely no idea what file the clothing mod is...
Also, there're some mods with the .ppx format, how do I use those mods?

NotThatWiseGuy PPX can only be used alongside PP, not PP2. On that note, I strongly recommend not using AA2Mini - especially not the one in OP, AAU in it is extremely outdated -, and following the "Modern Installation Guide" under Other Sources instead to get AA2MiniPPX and a bunch of PPX mods up and running.
Unfortunately for me, AA2MiniPPX crashes after clicking launch. I tried everything the guide mentions to fix this to no avail, I can run AA2Mini just fine but AA2MiniPPX refuses to work.
As a matter of fact, if I try to run AA2Mini with 'Use .ppx resource loader' enabled, it crashes just like AA2MiniPPX.
EDIT: Nevermind, managed to fix it. I was a moron and didn't follow the guide properly, forgot to install NET Core 3.1 Runtime.

Hey, thanks for explaining!! Shoudn't one of the main files on this thread be the AA2MiniPPX version?
But still, thanks for the help (love this community), gonna try downloading from the modern guide. <3
EDIT: Why most people upload the mods on MEGA? I really hate the pay wall on that site... Is there a way around it?

Hi people, I hope you are well. I'm a noob and I installed this game yesterday, I just downloaded and installed the mods but every time I load a card the character doesn't have the same characteristics as the card. And when I edit a card, AAedit crashes and the png is corrupted, how do I solve this?
So the harder linker textures aren't showing up in game even though all the folders seem to be in order with the proper textures in each.

Hey, check these and see if it helps:
-> the .pp2 (not the .pp nor the .ppx) mods are supposed to be used with the AA2Mini version available here;
-> I personally recommend you to download and folow the instructions on the "Modern Installation Guide for AA2 2020" under "Other sources" in the main page as it is the most recent version of the game (AA2MiniPPX) and has more mods that are up to date. FYI: This version uses .ppx and/or .pp mods;
-> The mods MUST, mostly go into your data folder, so check if there's nothing missing;
-> Do not forget to update your AAUnlimited, you'll need an updated version to run most mods correctly too;
-> Do not forget to update your drivers aswell.

Go for the one named "Modern Installation Guide for AA2 2020" the first option.
It should take you to a webpage with a full intruction guide and link for dowloading a bunch of mods too.

Can somebody please help me? I have a homosex.lua file in the mod folder, but it is not in the list of scripts in the launcher, what can i do to enable it?
Damm. For some reason this one doesn't launch, the launcher stops functioning and I tried the troubleshooting guide. The other one from the mega worked fine, but idk why this one from the guide is having problems. There's a way to fix this?
Is it possible to edit/remove a trigger from a module? I have a card that I downloaded which has a custom module added to it. There's one trigger contained in the module I'd like to remove though, but all of the options related to editing/deleting triggers are greyed out for me in the editor. All the options are available for triggers I add myself, but it seems like triggers that have already been packed into modules can't be modified?
