From what I remember it's so they don't run into problems further down the road.

I feel that. I just got done doing a massive rework to my own stuff. People can really underestimate just how much work it can be.
I love this game, it's one of my favourite games along with Claire's quest, it is really fun. The rpg elements are done amazingly so it's not tedious and grindy but fun to play, this is exactly why i love rpg maker games (H or not). I don't know what else to say, so that's it

update: noticed the cause of the dialogue loop bug at santas work shop is caused when ashleys corruption isnt high enough, which results in and endless dialogue of "lets have sex" "neverrrr". i then got my corruption high enough and had no such issues
