I just found this game, didn't even play it yet but from the screens i guess i'll like it. If i am not mistaken lots of scenes as POV? I wish more games would, at least as an occasional option, chose POV ...

Did you put it both in the 'game' folder and in the 'game/functions' folder? It doesn't go in the functions folder and having it in two places is going to cause it's been defined twice error.

Did you extract it from the archive? label 'debug_1' is part of zzz-poormans_debug_mode.rpy which you should have extracted to the 'game' folder. If you don't have an rpy file called that in the game folder then do that.

How can I fight monsters or bandits if I have 50 hp and they have 150? each of their hit removes 7-10 hp(or more, even if i use shield card), while when you deal damage, they can dodge it, or do 1-2 damage at all, even if the strength and agility are at max. What the fuck?

Do a search of this thread, there are 2 good deck builds listed. A decent starter(ish) one using less cards and an advanced one (the one that shows 4 crush cards). Make sure you build the gym ASAP and train up all your stats to 10. This game has no time limit and, in fact, some events seem to only take place later in the game. Each point of vitality (the bike in the gym) gives plus 10 HP. I think you can end up with 80. Headbut cards stun and dmg. Basically you can't win much with a starter deck. Save right before you win a battle and if you get crap cards dropped reload until you get a card you want. I used to consider it cheating, but this game takes forever WITHOUT cheating.

I already max out my stats, and it looks like I don't have the right cards, but I have no idea how to knock them out, the easiest enemy was a spider in the store, but he always has bad cards. I really suck at this card fighting.

You really just have to make the smallest and most functional/synergetic deck you can like in any TCG ever. So never take the cards offered to you unless they are of a higher rarity than common (gray is common) except if they are actually decent versus your current cards. And even then avoid taking as much of them as possible because you really want the others. Then make the Forge asap and destroy all your shitty initial cards starting with the dodge one, then your attacks of 5dmg > then your defenses > etc. And that's how you make a small functional deck that you can quickly cycle through the same good cards. Make sure to take all the cards that stun if possible tho. It's literally a free turn, except on the very few enemies that you can't stun. And also if you have the forge you can forge really good cards. And if you find a mysterious coin, go to the library and the guy sells super OP cards for 1 coin each. Basically, it's straight up mostly the same tactics as Slay the Spire.

Also after the forge, make the gym asap (and train once everyday in there and don't forget also to train in your room until all your stats are maxed out) and then make the vault and all it's upgrades asap. Another very easy way to shrink your deck is just dumping in the chest/vault your shitty cards. Except when you know you are about to die or reset your deck (deal with the devil to gain luck), then put all your best ones in the chest first.

Yes I've seen a giant and a werewolf and a giant crab in that find a fight option. I'd recommend save scumming right before you finish an enemy off to find cards you need. This game is nothing but an rng fest.

Yes you can do that. Save during the animation right before the enemy is decided and if you don't like it reload and try again.

You only need 7 repeatable cards and upto 10 exhaustive cards.

Repeatable cards. Only 7 is needed because, once all the exhaustive cards are used, we will get a constant hand for all turns.
2 - Sweep - Crab/Orc
2 - Veil of shadows - Cultist
1 - Hide in the shadows - Spider/Cultist
1 - Bulletstrom - Bandits with Guns
1 - The star - Mysterious Trader in Kiara's Library
Hide in the shadows may seem like a shit card at first glance, but if used with Bulletstrom, it has great benefits.

Exhaustive cards. To get to an even ground with powerful enemies. You can create two types of Deck with the type of cards you collect.

Clarity Deck specific cards. It is the easier deck to defeat enemies.
1 -The Hierophant - Mysterious Trader in Kiara's Library. +2 spirituality. Once this card is used, You can't use power cards for 20 turns. Hence it can't be used with a deck of power cards or vice-versa.
1- The lovers - mysterious trader in Kiara's Library. An alternative to important power cards. Can only be used after using Hierophant because of its higher spirituality

Power Deck specific cards. Using this deck type, it is harder to defeat enemies, but it is interesting in its own way.
2 - Lycanthropy - Werewolf
1 - Instatiable Lust - Succubus
1 - Fireborn - Dragon (optional)
1 - Freedom - Cultist (Optional)

Exhaustive cards common for both decks
1- The High Priestess - mysterious trader in Kiara's Library

The only thing I'd add to this is that you may want multiple copies of cards that exhaust, like the outside (invulnerability, dropped by cultist in the intact house) and crush (33 dmg, dropped by dragon and supposedly giants and werewolves) I've never seen a werewolf or giant, anyone know how to do that?
Yeah well I was avoiding going into the specifics of which cards exactly for it to not be too overwhelming and also actually give a way to *start* building their deck to even have a chance against the starting enemies haha. Of course later on then you aim for way harder enemies to get the best ones. But yes you're right, I did forget to mention key card types, which were the ones that exhaust. Like the stuns I mentioned, those are exhaust, then you have those a gives you permanent buffs or those that debuffs the enemies and others that does multiple things at once and etc etc. The thing is, you can't be too scared to add them (to a certain extent of course) because since they exhaust then your deck shrinks as you fight while giving you great turns and ultimate do continuous great damage while getting beefier/etc. So they hardly actually bloat your deck. :)

Oh and I did encounter those. I think it was by continuously choosing to just seek out a fight directly and not do exploration. :0

You only need 7 repeatable cards and upto 10 exhaustive cards.

Repeatable cards. Only 7 is needed because, once all the exhaustive cards are used, we will get a constant hand for all turns.
2 - Sweep - Crab/Orc
2 - Veil of shadows - Cultist
1 - Hide in the shadows - Spider/Cultist
1 - Bulletstrom - Bandits with Guns
1 - The star - Mysterious Trader in Kiara's Library
Hide in the shadows may seem like a shit card at first glance, but if used with Bulletstrom, it has great benefits.

Exhaustive cards. To get to an even ground with powerful enemies. You can create two types of Deck with the type of cards you collect.

Clarity Deck specific cards. It is the easier deck to defeat enemies.
1 -The Hierophant - Mysterious Trader in Kiara's Library. +2 spirituality. Once this card is used, You can't use power cards for 20 turns. Hence it can't be used with a deck of power cards or vice-versa.
1- The lovers - mysterious trader in Kiara's Library. An alternative to important power cards. Can only be used after using Hierophant because of its higher spirituality

Power Deck specific cards. Using this deck type, it is harder to defeat enemies, but it is interesting in its own way.
2 - Lycanthropy - Werewolf
1 - Instatiable Lust - Succubus
1 - Fireborn - Dragon (optional)
1 - Freedom - Cultist (Optional)

Exhaustive cards common for both decks
1- The High Priestess - mysterious trader in Kiara's Library
1 - Despair - Cultist
3 - Terror - Stickman/Cultist
1 - Faceless - Faceless Giant
1 - The Empress - mysterious trader in Kiara's Library (optional)
1 - The Emperor - mysterious trader in Kiara's Library (optional)

Yup, as I was playing without looking up anything and discovering stuff on my own I did end up actually making a clarity deck haha. It's really great. It can work having power cards with it though if you just exhaust them all first and then do the Hierophant and Lovers combo. But yes optimally you wouldn't use power cards at all. I just find it fun to do so myself haha.
