Ren'Py - Completed - Ataegina [v1.0] [Kthulian]

Great storyline! Enjoy the fact you have a choice on whether to stay faithful and who to hook up with. So many games just assume you want to hook up with everyone or force you to cheat it's great to have a game that doesn't.

I'm not a fan of the writing at all. It all looks quite janky as well. I'm not sure what the alignment system does and it's a very basic one anyway. Evil people want to kill kittens because they're evil. Evil characters are better when they're just selfish assholes. At least you would want to play that way in a game. The combat is boring and the magic all feels the same making it kind of pointless. Maybe that changes later on, I couldn't say

The renders in the game are hot as hell, the combat system is engaging but not intrusive, the story is pretty good and even if it wasn't the renders are, again, fucking fantastic.

Also of note is that this game has been in development for a good while and the devs are still here and even update frequently which is less common than we would all like, so props to Kthulian for keeping up with this!

I really like this game's story, setting, characters and graphics, as well as how it handles combat, how it handles levelling up stats, it is a great game all around... I'm looking forward to see where it goes!

Ok....I wanted to try a fantasy combat-based sex game and this one came up with a good story according to some players. Plus, it seem to have a tons of stars.
Guess it's a style that might be appreciated by specific players but it wasn't for me.

- Renders (face and bodies) are ok for the ladies as far I as could see but most of the protagonists have weird and unnatural poses.
- Writing is basic and it feels like going through a teenager fantasy diary...boooooriiing !
- Sex scenes are not very appealing eg: the sex slave and Bredita (or whatever the name was) or between the teacher and the student. I've no idea if it gets better later on as I couldn't push further into the game.

Well...erased and forgotten.

Starting with the summary, "It's a pretty amazing game and one of my favourites".
It has a wide variety of characters and different paths depending how you wanna be in the game. Free roams are good and easy to understand. And the story is excellent. Every character seems to fit perfectly how it would really be. The monthly update system helps to get the story fresh and somewhat does the patreons justice for monthly charges. The plot is nice. Overall the good combo of everything and I love it the way it is.

SUMMARY
Great! One of the best examples of the genre floating around.

A fantasy visual novel with moderate sandboxing along the way.

PROS
Excellent writing, story, and renders.

Very engaging and plenty of content to keep you interested for many hours (2 days for me, but if you are zippy and skip along for the myriad sexy scenes and don't what-if your choices you would finish much faster)

Lots of sex AND lots of story as well.

CONS
Sandboxing at times is really just hunting for what is next in the story line.

At the beginning there's a bit of the 'click' add the next line on screen, 'click again' add the next line on screen type action that's a little tedious, but it doesn't last.

Work in Progress (not complete, but as noted there's a lot there already). It's currently at a decent break point if the developer wanted to split it into separate books/parts.

Some spelling/grammar errors pop up along the way, but they don't really detract from the story or game.

Love this type of genre, and the dev NAILED IT!!

Pros :

• The story , the attention to details, the explanation, everything about that is great and very enjoyable. Love the idea of enabling the player to choose between 3 sides.
• Your choice DOES MATTER, it will shape your characters action, dialogue, etc
• There is a combat system here, and i love it! the dev able to make it enjoyable and easy to remember
• The girls are pretty and lovable, also the dev does a great job of making an inhuman character looks great and pretty. So a job well done!
• Already have a lot scenes, you could not get all the scenes in one playthrough. Sadly, the scenes are not all animated
• The background, the environment, the monsters, the enemy, etc looks great .

Had one hell of a blast playing this one! definitely up there on my list of favorite VN.

1 thing i have to say tho This VN need to have more side quest, i enjoyed the side quest that already available so far.

Props to the dev, you guys did an amazing job so far and worth supporting for. Keep it up, i could not wait for more

Wow, just wow! This is a brilliant game from start to finish!

Pros

• Excellent mix of story and adult content

Cons

• It isn't finished
• I wish the game had more side quests and events, especially at the Mage's college (oftentimes there is only one or two events on the map but you have to search all 14 locations constantly to find them)
• There needs to be more events and conversations that aren't tied directly to the story
• The relationship points and good/corruption points need to be utilized more and more consistently with events tied to them
• More choices are needed at key points in the game (too much of the story/choices are forced)
• The English is good but not great - I encountered lots of spelling errors and missing words

Final Thoughts

The game is extremely well done and there is a very high attention to detail throughout it.

The story is very compelling and keeps you addicted the entire time. The story makes sense and the fantasy is plentiful yet believable.

The magic and combat system are very well done and functional.

I highly recommend this game and encourage others to give it a try!

WHAT. A. GAME.
For a long time I was searching for a good fantasy based game and at last I found it. It beats other games of the same type by standing out with a good plot, nice sex scenes and incredible character development.

In this fantasy based adult game you'll find yourself thinking about the choices you make and who you really are as a person or rather, who you'd like to become. The plot is thick with twists and turns, love and betrayal. You'll find yourself actually caring about the characters in the game beyond just wondering you can screw. With that said, you'll obviously have plenty of well made and written sexual encounters (so that both your hands are busy while playing )

Thanks to the different choices and paths in the game I found myself playing it over and over just to uncover more than the previous playthroughs. One of the best adult games I've played. Period. Do yourself the favor and play it!

Really unique game! Came for the plot... and stayed for like ACTUAL plot. I feel like most games nowadays are stagnated by games following a few generic storylines like "guy goes to live with his long lost mom and sister" or "guy goes to college." This game really builds a world, with different moving pieces that come together and build off each other. I've given 5 stars to multiple fuckfest type games, but this one is one where the sex never feels forced, but there is plenty of it that is well placed. Characters are terrific, hot girls who have personalities and seem to have their own goals. My only critique is the lack of animations, i think sex scenes themselves could be better. Overall terrific game, one of the best on the site, make sure to try.

Really enjoying this game. The graphics are good, the girls are all gorgeous & there is no real "grind" to raise stats, other than needing to take part in some fights to improve your magic capability & these are not particularly time consuming, meaning more time for the good stuff!!!
The story is interesting and the characters are written well enough to make you care.

If you enjoy mythical settings, magic and the likes, this game will fill that interest by the bucket-load.
There is combat, exploring, no real grinding for little reward as with some other games & a story & characters you'll be happy to invest your time into.
There is also a morality system, which I've only opted for the "Good" route, so cannot really comment on the "Bad" or "Neutral" options, but there is plenty of action with the gorgeous girls on this path.
I'll probably try the other routes another time, but I'm enjoying being a decent guy, for once. Not experienced any of the usual "dumb" or "arrogant" MC issues found in other games, thankfully. He's actually a likeable guy.
Plus, did I mention? The girls are gorgeous!!!

I got bored to death in the first 5 minutes, pushed my self to keep playing in case it gets better later. In all, it's a boring mess, essentially a text simulator. Intro needs rework. Renders are pretty average too, terrible lighting.

The game has a "unique" story to say the least. You are the chosen one apparently, and you learn magic, which is always fun in games imo. The models look nice (except for the cat people), nothing crazy, but the animations I witnessed were bad, it was all robotic and glitchy.
Some of the female characters are interesting, I like the demon siblings and the top demons, the cat people are somewhat a love letter to The Elder Scrolls Khajiits, and that's fine, but they look creepy as hell.
The combat is pretty boring, I never really had to use any tacitcs, just smash attack spells until you win, I didn't feel any difference between the schools, just pick either one, I don't think it changes anything on the story, at least not your proficiency with them didn't as far as I'm concerned.
Two things that bothered me were the font style and that the models were too close to the screen, they should be a bit further.
Ok, so now why I rated this poorly? It's a cool game... but whilst midgame I experienced a glitch that no images were showing anymore, it kept saying they were missing, so I reloaded and they were still missing, then I closed the game and opened again the following day to find out my saves were all missing, so I decided this wasn't worth my time anymore. Good luck if you're playing this, I hope you'll enjoy it more than me.

Good game ate now. It has a cool story and the fighting is not boring. Having some paths to follow makes the game more interesting. The characters are charismatic. Perhaps moving scenes could make the game even better.

Excellent game. I love the story and the characters. the renders are very good , the music and the combat system is also very good ,but I wish there were also a way to see the damage every spell and offensive attack that we make, causes on the enemy we are fighting against. Overall a very entertaining and engaging story and game. very well made.

- CG. at first glance its ok (tits, faces, no clipping), but unnatural gestures, hairs like concrete producted etc...
- ugly interface. as example- maps.

this game not blacklisted but found its place at the bottom my wishlist. lets hope next game from this dev ll much better.
