It's a VN with some sandbox elements. The choices are fairly limited and scripted, and the story is on rails with branches, but there are areas where you can move through the house on your own or see one scene before another.

You have to enable the console (and debug menu) if you want to use it. The easiest way is to use the Unren.bat utility linked in my signature. Put the bat file in the main folder for the VN, run it, and choose option 3.
