again, i think it might be best to start from the ground up with a remake of the game rather than attempting to "fix" the existing version. every time someone tries to do that, it goes unfinished. now that 3 or more people have touched the code, it's not any 1 person's code or writing anymore which could be an issue regarding consistency of writing as well.

The code is fine honestly. It has perfectly usable time and stat management. The only issue is the actual scenes dont sensibly or consistently set values. So a lot of adjusting play balance and less needing to fix code
This is indeed a very annoying issue, and I am struggling a bit with cleaning up the messes left by three different amateur writers, all with their own baffling ideas about writing. But hey look on the bright side, the next person to tackle this will get to struggle with the messes left by FOUR different amateur writers.
That said, I think everyone is wildly underestimating the work involved in a remake. Remakes/refactors of games fail the vast majority of the time. Everyone is always excited about starting fresh, and then everyone stops being excited when they realize how much work it'll take to get to even half as much content as the original game had.
Long story short, feel free to attempt a remake if you want to understand this firsthand; me, I'm just going to try and keep working and improving on what we have.
IF there is going to be a remake at some point in time might as well go all out and make the lewd scenes animated. Just a thought.
I'm pretty sure that a lot of the times a game fails, is because of the animation loads.
I think having them as cut-outs is okay.

IIRC the subject for animated scenes in this game has been mentioned before. There was a short discussion at one time trying to come up with ideas on how to do it.

The bottom line though is that to produce animations for scenes you need to produce multiple graphics & the more graphics are required to produce smoother animations
- are you willing to produce every single frame required for smooth animations ? - No !! didn't think so
IF the graphics were 3D created I guess you could get the 3d Package to render out the required animations automatically - would make things easier - but somehow I don't think Shadow Word (or any other developer for that matter) fancy doing all the frames BY HAND before actually getting a finished bug free game out first

'dissolve' by definition is Dissolve(0.5) so its a half second effect. But you can use any timespan you want from hundredth of a second to heat death of the universe.
Renpy supports side masking for video transparency. Its a technique where you render the video double wide. Left side is the video and right half is an alpha mask designating which pixels are transparent. The doc page on the feature has the commands you would type in ffmpeg to generate whats needed and if thats confusing the people in the renpy discord can usually walk someone through the process.
There is no chance of animations, as far as I'm concerned.

Not know ANYTHING about Ren'py I can only go by what I've read, so thanks for clearing up that bit.
The point still holds though - to get any animations the developer(s) still needs to make many (many) images for the animation frames which is something I don't think many developers fancy doing.
What with AI stuff nowadays I guess there are 'easy' ways to do this but googling and it all seem to cost ££££ with no guarantee the actual animation will actually look good. Something else a budding developer who doing stuff like this in their free time won't consider 'just for animated scenes'

Could i ask for a save please? I would prefer it not being 100%, 30% or higher would be fine. I just don't wanna have to go through the early game stuff for the millionth time. I just wanna skip ahead to at least where you can take off her clothes, it doesn't have to be so far that she gets fully naked. I'm just looking for a head start. Please and thank you.

I'm excited to have another version of the game. It's been fun watching the game evolve and change hands different times.
It's been taking a lot longer than I expected, but I am still working on my own version of the game. In my spare time, chipping away at it, fixing and changing things as I go. The working title is 'Preparing Cream for College'.
Some may consider this a 'neutered' version, but you can't please everyone. I'm glad Shadow is taking the reigns to make a less altered version for those that want that.
I'll be around, and will try to keep updating more often.
tbh i dont think avalon even gives a shit anymore. this game has existed since 2010.
