What Hardware are you using right now?
I have started with Daz in november with my old system (Xeon E3-1225 V5, 32GB, 1050TI). Getting your render quality is really difficult, 4GB VRAM is, even using scene optimizer, not enough and the CPU with 4 cores and no HT doesn't help either.
I'm upgrading to Ryzen 3700 (got a good price) now and hoping for a good deal on a 2070/2080 super, but at the moment the prices are going up, not down.

I started with a AMD R9 380, so I did my first 50-100 render on CPU which was a OC'ed Bulldozer FX 8350 at that time, 16gb Ram.
Until recently I used a Ryzen 5 1600x, 32gb/3000 ram, a 1060 6gb + a 1070 amp extreme (which I bought last summer where I got really lucky cause the price dropped to half the price for a really short time).
Now I use a R7 2700x (got it this week), and a 2070 Super + the 1070.
But honestly, the same render quality is achievable with the 1050 if the scene fits on the card. The big difference is the time necessary to render.

Thats the problem, I made the mistake only using V8. 2 figures, hair, clothes & scene and it's getting difficult (even with scene optimizer) to fit it in 4GB VRAM.
And with this CPU, it takes at least 3-4 hour to get good looking results.
But I let you going back working on your great game

Nah, that doesn't take much time, no rendering -> fast updates. It took 2 weeks to make the update.Don't forget about another game from recreation It means we may not see update for a looong time
Sounds like you have a r5 and a 1060 free already so not that far off a dedicated machine.
Still spent some serious coin, just looked up the 2070 and it's around $900 locally. My poor 1050 Ti is crying molten copper but as you said as long as I disable everything out of sight is still capable.

yes, I also have MB and case. I got lucky with my 2070, paid a little over 500€ which is still a lot of money though, but it helps a lot with rendering time.

People are asking for update over and over again, so I figured I write something...
...but honestly, I have no idea what to write, other than it's not done yet lol.
I work on the update as usual, I'm creating scenes, render scenes (that's basically 99.9999% of all the work), write some text, edit text, do some coding...
I actually wanted to release a small mini update after the WS update was out, but the night scene cost a lot of time, more than expected, so no mini update
Seeing what I managed to get done so far... well the update is not in sight yet.
...I better hide now^^

Not going to lie, was a little disappointed that when Rachel asks you to be nicer to the therapist there wasn't a choice to tell her to royally fuck off, and then just have a giant middle finger on the screen every time the therapist appears.

Thinking about who it is, my guess is Ellie, she sneaks into our room. Rachel has always knocked, I'm pretty sure.
