As a person who started out playing Japanese visual novels before I even knew about this site or western adult games, this is a little exciting. Always heard praise for this and I always loved Muv Luv(not really a fan of mech genre but it was an A+ VN).

My question is, is there any difference between this release than the original Japanese version. I heard there was a lot of out cry and controversy about this localization but I didn't pay attention to why, I think censorship was the issue. So is there any difference in versions?

Did you finish those awful awful first games before MLA? I used walkthrough to rush through all the shit. In the end, I think that MLA was quite decent.

I admit that the first Muv Luv was a little lacking but MLA was one of the best visual novels I have ever read and the reason I still play VNs, and lead me to this place. Also VNs like Steins Gate and Grisaia were the three that really made me love visual novels. I haven't play many japanese VNs in a while (Starless last year was the last), but the stories in Japanese VNs are overall way ahead of western VNs, and MLA was amazing!

The original was an adult only game but they released the English version with all adult content cut because of licensing issues. To be clear they didn't translate the all ages version of the game, they created it. Thankfully we did get an the uncut version unofficially.
