well Mansion of Lust Alpha have much more bugs then BGR.

That's sad... and it's in RPGM too, right? That's actually much harder to use than Ren'py. He's once again out of his depth.

Just out of curiosity, for you guys who have talked with the dev, is there any real reason that he seems to go out of his way to make the game overly complicated and cumbersome, rather than just streamlining it? The renders and basic concept are fantastic, but there's so much going on that makes the experience frustrating, and it feels like if he just cut way back on that stuff and focused on the actual content of the game, it would be both easier for him and make the players happy.

This game lasted a long time, it's a shame it ended like this. the first time I played it I thought it was wonderful but as time went by with new gaming trends I realized that it was horrible and full of bugs... I hope someone in the future picks up the project and does better

I don’t want to upset you, but until the Mansion is made, we won’t see a continuation of BGR. Why a continuation? There was a conversation in the discord about the fact that if the Mansion is popular, he will return to BGR and will be called BGR Club House and there we will build a club in the school that was supposed to be in the last part of BGR. But I don’t really believe that BGR will return, as I said before. Mansion is a very buggy game than BGR was.i Really Miss This Game Even on 2024 i still remember it and i hope that there is some day some how any good dev will take this game out to life again

I talked with leocid in PM on Discord about making my own vn that has elements of BG and BGR but as a kinetic novel with choices affecting the story with no mandatory RPG elements ( I am busy with college so don't expect anything until at least later this year ) and maybe a 3d dungeon to get extra stuff for the story if I get good enough, I will be using the godot engine with the dialogic addon.

Because in this particular type of story multiple things are happening at once, ie: the mc making money to buy the gym, while Kyo is taking over the school and Sasha is being taken over by the vengeful spirit from the great civil war, and ontop of all that you have slice of life, build up and foreshadowing for the next arc as you conclude the previous arc.
This type of story is broken apart when you add RPG grinding elements to progress the game that doesn't really add to the game and is ultimately unnecessary for this type of story to work, cause this isn't like milfy city or summertime saga where there is plenty of side content and repeatable content to make you endure to time you grind away to progress the story.
You could make it a sandbox game with no grind though. Keep the map for the important areas, and just give the players the choice of which task they want to take on next. Who they want to go see and persue, talk to, repeatable sex scenes, etc. That's always my favorite kind of game. There doesn't need to be any challenge involved or have choices that change the outcome, as long as I can pick which thing that I want to do next.
When its just a one-way kinetic novel, it honestly gets boring for me, even when the content is all the same, and I sometimes have a hard time remembering who some of the characters even are, given that with porn games I'm bouncing from one to another as updates are added.

Point taken, I will see what I can do with it in the future, but due to my extremely limited skills I'm stuck with making a 2-3 hour first release, and while I have assets for the sandbox environment,one of my main problems with BG is that stuff like getting enough relationships points with girls to take them out on dates ( which is funny since you would need a walk through to know the relationship levels) is that it was tied to the main story and there wasn't a consequence for it which would have made the sandbox elements more interesting.
however I plan to make mine like hail dicktator with a simple interface and well explained quests along with a cheat that allows you skip the grind and focus on the story ( which is my personal preference,but I understand your situation due to some bad games with cardboard for characters ) or the DeLuca family that has consequences to story choices,while have an ok mini game with a area to explore and increase relationships or trigger events.

Here's a interesting question: in the Kyo yamata mission that has been drawn out extremely due to annoying side quests and side quests that are more interesting than the Kyo mission, would you guys submit her/ wipe out her family? And please explain cause I can't decide because there's so much that can make either way interesting?
It depends a lot on the direction you want to take, I think people will prefer to submit to Kyo for sex scenes that could bring to the game ( With her and her family), another thing is also that depending on the plot able your family to be at your service could help you in some problem (Economy Things or Wars), another interesting thing about this course would be the fact of how you manage to defeat your family (The whole process). On the other hand the fact of disappearing her family instead could have an effect on other families or people of power by seeing that the MC is powerful enough and capable of achieving something like this, and this could bring about as death threats, wars etc. It could also make other powerful families want to partner with the MC and having agreements so that the 2 parties benefit and also develop their intimacy with these families.
