Leocid never had any clue when he started, and he is one of a small but illustrious circle of devs that has been in this scene for near a decade without learning a damn thing. Quite a feat, if you ask me!

I certainly feel that one-directional VNs are outdated. They're one step above reading a comic, but far from the quality of an actual game where you can go back and forth and have control over the pace and order that your character does stuff.

I feel so sorry for your patreon subscribers, you have practically just screwed them over, because of your carelessness. How on earth is it you never bothered to back up your files? Hard drives are really cheap these days, and then you randomly come out with 'but i am making a new game in rpgm'. So why don't you download all the assets and models from the software vendor you bought them from? I would advise you not to make anything in rpgm, because its pure garbage. I just think your making excuses, you got bored of developing your current game and want to move on to something else, and used the drive failure as an excuse, surely no one can be that crazy not to back anything up, especially since its making you money.

either he is sick, his drives are broken, his grafik card is broken, he did not made backup, the translation team dosent work fast enough and so on, and on, and on and on and on.
with version 1.5 he screwed almnost ALL his paetrons by secretly sharing version 1,5 through PM to some friends and users here in the forum, and noone else....
leocid also made in his DC a questioning , if people prefer the game in renpy and rpgm .. 99% votet for renpy, and he said ok we stick to renpy, just to move to rpgm 4 weeks later. and than 4 weeks again later he saud game is done he wont work on it annymore.
he is a pro scammer .he totaly fucked up the game by bringing a micro managment system to the game that needed fixes over fixes, and so he could totaly avoid to go with the story in the game.
he even announced a new game but also screwed this by saying it will be delayed , and ther eis a problem here and there.
he is only active when a blockbuster games come out . like cyberpunk.. than he gets active is working because he can attrakt paetons again, and they are stupid enough to pay for his new hardware. than he vanishes again.

Apparently you are not the first and not the last who fell for this scam. I had the same joke only with images of poses for new and old girls of the game. + gave (and not only me and many others) advice on how this or that girl would be better for the game, her image, character, hobby. But in the end he did everything in his own way, and people (most of them) were not happy especially with the combat system which debugged the development of the game for 4 months, I think

He really seemed to put so much effort and focus into the aspects of the game that most players were probably the least interested in and didn't care about, and it just derailed the whole experience.

Unfortunately you're completely right. I really like it and I would have loved for someone to take it up again, but it seems that's not going to happen.

The really sad thing is that the dev had everything to make this game a success, the story was interesting, the graphics were good, the only thing it needed was to change the gameplay a little so that it would be easier to move around the scenarios and improve a little the translation, that was all.

BUT no, he became obsessed with making a stupid combat system that no one asked for and no one wanted (seriously, who the hell wants to farm experience for 3 hours in a porn game?).

It's a shame and taking into account that their new game is already in the abandoned drawer... I don't think we'll see anything from Leocid again for a while, a shame.
