The really sad thing is that the dev had everything to make this game a success, the story was interesting, the graphics were good, the only thing it needed was to change the gameplay a little so that it would be easier to move around the scenarios and improve a little the translation, that was all.

BUT no, he became obsessed with making a stupid combat system that no one asked for and no one wanted (seriously, who the hell wants to farm experience for 3 hours in a porn game?).

It's a shame and taking into account that their new game is already in the abandoned drawer... I don't think we'll see anything from Leocid again for a while, a shame.

You are completely correct all around. Also, the horrible battery system with the vehicle was just awful too. What did that ever add?

I forgot about that pain-in-the-ass battery system for moving around the maps! This game had some unnecessary dumb mechanics. I just wanted the story because it was good. It was the only reason I grinded besides great-looking female characters.

Totally agree because somehow the original before the remake has more content ( like the grand mistress grand/daughter banging the Mc along with the island going to war with the world however the remake has filler arcs and pointless grinds ( I always use the renpy script cheat to max out everything ) and the worst part is you could go into the game files to see renders he hasn't used for the combat system of all things. Don't forget dragging the school war arc also and if only we could get the exact base models, morphs, outfits, hair and other assets and ( personaly ) a computer that can run the 4k to 8k quality assets to render than a fan remake ( that just continues the story ) and we get the game we want ( and yes Leocid is offline on discord ).

As I've said in the past, he had so much laid out that if he just simplified everything and made an easy to use, straightforward game, people would have loved it, plus he likely could have added a lot more actual story content then as well. It almost feels like his main desire was to create this weird grindy combat game, and that the sex and porn aspect was just a cover to get people interested, lol.

As a former patron of his, I agree with you. When he announced he lost all his game assets due to a failed drive, but wanted to start a new game in RPG I read him the riot act before cutting my support. I work in Daz3D too. You best believe I have three SSDs built into my laptop, plus a 2TB external SSD to back up my work. Backing up your work is 101. My thoughts were he got tired of the game. The updates were getting later with each release. He wanted to move to RPG because he's hinted at it on Discord and Patreon. His drive may have failed, but I wouldn't put it past him if he lied so he could begin work on the new game. I would love to recreate this game and characters without the grind and weird combat. Perhaps a more kinetic story with a simple dating system implemented with choices of female NPC to pursue or ignore.

That sounds wonderful. I suggested something similar in this thread way back when, a year or two ago. Along with a more reasonable progression with each of the girls, working your way from your starting maid, to the girls that live in the house, to various students in the school, and then up from there. No difficult grind or confusing aspects, just do this with this girl, then that with the other girl, and so on as you make your way through all of their content.

The idea and the renders were awesome. The execution of the game itself was not. Had he done the simplest Renpy semi-sandbox it could have been great, but that seemingly wasn't his focus.

i clashed with him here years ago about the amount of grind for this kind of game, the RNG at school money sink that could ruin your game if you got 3x max penality in a row the school stuff was toned down but battery and farming the battle stuff grinding the gym , grinding for your membership cards at the bar or the resources to build at the beach that needed grind to be maintained again ...
looks like the work in the game mechanics was a pretty welcomed excuse. for his new game he put out 1 update in 2024 and 3 messages
so i guess its best to close this story/game/dev and dont look back

There’s a few devs like this, obsessed with making the player go through a hellscape of repetitive actions, and willing to ruin the story or the premise or the fun in order to fulfill whatever misguided fantasy they have. The guy who did this, the one who did Superpowered, the one who did Patronus (I think that was the title)….
