You make it sound like that's a bad thing, but that's one of the reasons I like the game! (I suspect I'm in the minority here).
It is a bad thing. Soap operas are worse than reality t.v. Trash television at it's finest. May be good for a porn game(and it really is) but it's not the end all be all that people itt make it out to be. I could name a number of games on this site that are way better written.
While I do have a couple of random saves that I have where I'm on Jill's path while having DIK affinity. I can tell you now that that path is practically over by the end of episode 7. Jill decides not to pursue you further after you visit her room at night. Hope this helps!!

Which games? I have played quite a few but haven't seen any with better writing than this (especially in terms of overall character writing and interactions, this game makes you more invested in the girls stories than any other) Of course the writing is soap opera esque but it fits with the setting and genre imho
The fact of the matter is that ALL entertainment is written. No matter what platform you use, there will always be drama elements in an entertaining story except for pornography. I personally don't know anyone who watches pornography for the story content anyway, hell I only watch porn until my balls are empty and then it's a distant memory.
Or, I can do whatever the fuck I want. Including complaining about the writing. And you can suck it up princess.
I dunno, if you take away all the soap opera elements of the game, what's left? It's all the drama that keeps everyone talking. There is so much more discussion in this thread than any other game on this forum (it has double the comments compared to the next highest thread, and this thread has been purged a number of times).

But Jill... This is the 8th fucking season DPC, the 8th fucking season! Are we to accept that by design, the lovely Jill just looks like a possessed goblinoid whenever we can see her teeth? I mean she is consistently horrendous every time those pearly whites are on display.
Maybe it's time to accept that Jill is an ugly smiler. They exist. I mean she can't be perfect, right? A rich, gorgeous, virginal babe can't be all perfect. In her case the paper bag is only required when she's happy. The good news is, after applying the paper bag she'll probably go back to pouting Jill. I can live with that.

So yeah, if you don't like the drama, I don't know what about this game lures you in, because I'd say the story (for better or worse) is the strongest draw card here.
