This is why I had such a big problem with the implied revelation Bella got with Jill. I was prepared to die on the particular hill that the whole monologue about "doesn't hook up with friends" in the library was about the MC but I have to concede with Ep5 its looking like she has cheated before and it kinda destroys the character for me. I hope we're all wrong because she's gone from a close second to Jill in my books to barely above Maya/Josy (and we all know my issues with them).

If Bella was trying to be faithful, was trying to be loyal to her husband and hated herself for falling for the MC I could see it working. It would be an interesting story. Watching someone make logical choices based on morality but succumbing anyways is interesting. Stuff like when she pushes him on Jill because it's the right thing to do, despite her feelings of jealousy is relatively unique behaviour in this game where everyone's "following their heart" and fucking like rabbits.

Make her faithful before meeting the MC and it would be a story about someone conflicted about their morality and how that morality holds up as lust for someone turns into love for them. She wants (and tries) to do the right thing but gives in and kinda hates herself for it. Someone with a bit of grown up, measured, morality is a nice foil to the clusterfuck of teenage drama in other routes. Unfortunately that loses a lot of it's weight when it's seemingly the second damn time she's cheated on her husband with a teenager she met at work and became friends with.
I wouldn't like that Bella and Jill had any kind of affair. Having two other LIs in a lesbian relationship (however short) would cheapen the plot imo. Depends on how exactly happen, but considering how "slow" this girls are, specially Jill, a one time thing like that seems out of character for both.

The Bella/Jill thing probably runs a lot deeper than that just some frivolous cheating. As you yourself have said before, it could have something to do with Jill's sister, that perhaps she and Bella had a thing and that Jill reminded her of her sister in that instance. This would then give what happened between them more emotional weight on Bella's part because of this past relationship.

That being said, Bella is a bit all over the place at the moment and has quite a few contradictions in her character, like giving Jill her seal of approval to pursue the MC whilst also doing things with him knowing full well how Jill feels about him. Hopefully DPC will iron everything out well and it won't be as messy and unsatisfying a resolution as the M&J stuff.

It doesn't have to be anything major, a bit of making out one night when they were both a bit tipsy and vulnerable could be all it was. That could easily be spun in a way that doesn't make it out of character for either of them.

I could agree with that, depending on what exactly happened, but anything in that direction would still cheapen the plot imo. Of any possible direction Jill and Bella's background could go having two other LIs mingle with each other is too much.

Yep well said. Jill trying to assure Bella that it won't happen again more or less confirms that whatever happened between them was a one time thing that was out of character for both of them.

See and if it was just the sleeping thing like with the MC I could give that one a pass. However even if you use alcohol as an excuse what they did vs how far it got could potentially have a serious impact on my feelings for them.

Edit - well maybe not feelings but at least my "understanding" of who they are as characters

Personally, I could see an acceptable situation being that Jill came to Bella for comfort after her bad date with Rusty or some other guy, then Bella broke out the wine and they spent the night knocking back a bottle or two to the point where they either got very merry or maybe started reminiscing about Jill's sister. In either case, there would have been a moment when the two of them were in such a heightened emotional state that they both went in for a kiss at the same time, but Bella feels the most guilty about it because she feels like she took advantage of Jill and there may also be the element of protectiveness too, with Bella feeling like she was supposed to be something of a guardian to Jill and she betrayed that role.

If something like that is what happened between them, I'd be fine with it.

Ah see and Sage is only willing to do that (fuck buddies) because her and the MC are not committed to each other. Do you think that she would share Chad with Quinn if their relationship was healthier? With how she is reacting to just a possible other as far as Chad goes I can't.
I have no way to judge how she would behave in a healthy relationship because we've never seen her in one. I just know that, by her own admission, she likes trying new things sexually.

I think a threesome is well within her wheelhouse... under the right circumstances. Obviously a boyfriend having sex with another girl WITHOUT her permission is a non-starter. So why might she give permission? Maybe she wants to do something special for him. Maybe she wants a new experience. Hell, maybe she wants to sleep with a girl herself and figures this is an acceptable way to do it. I'm definitely not saying it's certain, just that I could see it happening based on what we know about Sage now.

Besides, if there's one thing we've learned about BaDIK, it's not to bet against girls being remarkably open to sexual experimentation with the MC! ;)

Ok I can see that. Sage does strike me as being open to new things. Especially some of the conversations with the MC. Under the right circumstances......

You've got it all wrong pal. I'm not judging anything or anyone. HOTs called themselves slutty. Sage literally asked the MC to cum in her slutty pussy or slutty mouth. I fail to see why you seem to take a personal offense. Remember it's a porn game with threesome, prostitution, cheating and hypersexualized girls.
I mean thats bedroom talk literally. My Girlfriend acts that same way dude. Plenty of women do.

See and this is why I said a long time ago that I don't think DPC could have designed a more fucked up relationship game if he tried (that is assuming that wasn't his intent in the first place).

I can see the morality vs lust thing, however most people try to avoid their personal temptations. Not Bella she invites them into her house and allows them to stay with her. Add in the whole (theoretical) encounter with Jill and Bella loses so much credibility that I just can't swallow it.

I like all the LI's and all of the Side Girl's, even crab infested Arieth. No personal favorites so far. I just can't swallow them as "real". They are all such a bunch of extremes and contradictions that I have almost scratched myself bald trying to figure them all out :ROFLMAO:
My idea of her being "moral" but failing would exist on a razors edge for being believable. To be honest in my mind I built a whole carefully stacked house of cards to justify her behaviour that came tumbling down with the whole implied Jill thing. Like you said the Jill thing strips credibility in my mind.

My prior theory on why she was so cavalier with being around the MC was she thought she could control it, thought she was above it all. An ice queen. She pushed him towards Jill and said to herself nothing more would happen but that kiss when he was drunk changed something. She said it herself it's the first time a man has made her feel this way in years. If Bella was in a relationship but he walked out years ago and MC awakened something in her I could see her morality being realistically tested.

Away from him, with rational thought she believes she can handle him. Believes she will not succumb. Up close her morality crumbles and she starts making bullshit excuses. It's actually classic adultery behaviour called the Affair Fog. Away from the MC she makes decisions like hooking him up with Jill. Encouraging their relationship. Up close the pressure builds (as she put it "like a sneeze") and she starts making shitty rationalisations (classic affair fog) and justifies her behaviour to herself ("Would James even blame me?" and so on). Then it happens and she lies to herself. Never again she says. Like so many other adulterers. Her belief she can end things with MC would be arrogance, not inconsistency. She's 35 and believe she can keep feelings for an 18 year old in check.

I was so invested into this theory prior to the implied Jill thing because it gives her a sliver of a moral out, she can have the psychology of someone cheating without the full moral issues. It would require nuanced as fuck writing but if James has walked out on her years ago. If he wont so much as speak to her and she's been lying to herself that they're still married she could exhibit all these "affair fog" feelings towards the MC whilst there still being a slim justification for cheating... well more it was never cheating because the relationship had already ended. Let me be clear, that is not an excuse I personally would accept but the MC as a character could accept it. The MC could say "she didn't cheat, they stopped being married when he walked out and didn't talk to his wife for years." All this is rendered kinda far fetched if she has repeatedly cheated on him so not a theory I support anymore.

When I first read about the wine tasting I though "I hope this was to make the "Spit or swallow" joke and nothing more, not a "we were drunk" situation". I hope I'm still wrong.

That's the thing. This in isolation is plausible. I wouldn't like it, but it's plausible. (I could give my impression, but I can't back it up with evidence to say it would be out of character, we don't know enough about Bella or Jill for that). It's when you take it with M&J story it becomes "another" lesbian relationship.

Sage always looked pretty, but don't you guys think she looks prettier than before? She looks so much more appealing to me now! She's just adorable in the new preview

The model has improved with each episode for sure, specially from the first and second episode. They almost look like two different girls.

DUDE I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!

The only point I disagree with you on is the whole "MC thinks" part. To me it doesn't matter what the MC thinks, what Jill thinks, what James thinks or even what the world thinks. It's what Bella thinks that counts. Bella thinks she's a cheater and still tempts herself and of course fails.

Edit - Love the "Affair Fog" theory

Difference of opinion, but to me, one kiss between women does not a "lesbian relationship" make. By that logic, Ashley and Lily would be in a "lesbian relationship" because they kissed during the dildo spin game, and Quinn and Camila would be in a "lesbian relationship" because they kissed when jerking the MC off in ep 1.

A drunken kiss between two women, whether they be friends or strangers, is just a drunken kiss between two women. Anyone is capable of it regardless of their sexual proclivities, and that includes Bella and Jill.

I think lesbian relationship would be a stretch for a one time event. However the fact that Bella cheated again and Jill is potentially a lot more sexual could potentially make a difference in perception. What if it was more than a kiss? What if it was a LOT MORE?
