If one believes in those concepts. I do also agree only here once, for a very short time, so make the most of it and do what you want to do. However, that has nothing to do with her being a truly despicable piece of scum.

Yes...it's a game...but how anyone (as people have mentioned before)...can even possibly try to knock any of the other girls..yet defend her,...is quite frnakly, laughable and a little disturbing, regardless of whetehr she's a hot piece of ass or not.
Because Quinn is a character perpetually in the grey moral and legal area, she is also the most polarizing.

At a glance what with her being a pimp, drug dealer and possessing a mean streak she ticks all the boxes of your run of the mill antagonist. This is where many people write her off as the hellspawn sent to torture MC and MJ, enslave the HOTs and cast out Sage.

She is also easily one of the best written characters, and that depth in addition to her looks makes people at the other end really like her despite her flaws.

Her personality may not be to everyone's taste and that's perfectly fine. What I honestly don't see is how Quinn can be termed "a truly despicable piece of scum" as you put it, because while she has all the boxes which on the surface would indeed sway her image in that direction, if you really look closely at her actions, and the actions of other characters involved, she is not even objectively evil by a long shot given what we are privy to at this point in the story.

Her prostitution operation seems to be entirely consensual and voluntary, she does not coerce every HOT to join as they all seem to be ok doing it and even Mona backing out suggests she has that option in the first place. Time will tell how she handles that ofc, but it's not like she's sex trafficking her sisters - they can choose to sign up or not as far as we can tell. Same goes for Maya, it's normal for Quinn to be hazing her and so far she's totally oblivious to her restaurant meaning Quinn has not brought it up. Her omitting to dispel the free tuition rumor is not a flattering sign to be sure and will have consequences, however how she handles what happens next still remains to be seen.

Her smoking and selling weed is a victimless crime as far as I'm concerned, however being involved with shady individuals, dealing and using heroin or whatever that's supposed to be, that is what worries me. It's also probably going to be a major plot point in the story, and as such it holds a lot of potential for "redemption" as well as "damnation". It's not set in stone and could really go either way.

In essence, the stigma associated with being a drug-dealing pimp with attitude is worse than pretty much anything Quinn has actually done so far in the story. Imo it's too early to objectively call her an evil degenerate at this time because as far as we can tell she always has the willing participation of other characters in her activities. I don't believe she in fact is evil, but only DPC knows what he has in store for his characters. She could eventually turn out to be every bit as bad as some people say, even if it's only one among many versions of Quinn depending on MC's choices. But calling her evil scum at this point in time seems to be entirely a function of one's bias towards her grey area activities.

You should have talked to the following characters:

Sarah and Mel in the lounge
Derek in the lounge (not 100% sure about this one)
Riona in the corridor past the bar
John Boy in the corridor past the bar
Nick in the library
Jacob upstairs
Heather and Ashley in the room near Jacob
Mona in the room to the right of Heather and Ashley (get her a beer from the fridge)
Tommy in the hallway past Sarah and Mel
Rusty down the stairs near Tommy
Tommy again, this time with with Quinn next to him

Best I can do, I passed that section a long time ago.
Got it, thank you very much ! I missed Johnny boy in all my clicking all over the screen actions somehow, but i passed !

I guess that would depend on whether or not you think BaDIk is original? Currently...it's no more original than the loads of late 70's and eary 80's college comedy films that came out. I also wouldn't class A.O.A as a clone either personally.
It's not just the setting (though that is part of it) but also the style of gameplay/visual novel. Pacing of decisions, sections of dialogue broken up by "free roam", hidden renders, the use of the phone etc. It's not exactly the same but the inspiration from BaDIK (if "clone" is too harsh a term) is clearly there.

To go on a little tangent, has anyone notice a recent surge in the creation in BaDIK "clones"? A.O.A Academy, College Kings, Stay True Stay You off the top of my head. Clone is perhaps an uncharitable term, but they have very similar gameplay elements and settings. There's more than aren't transparently "clones" but clearly inspired by DrPinkCake.

Honestly BaDIK's huge popularity might have legitimately started a new era of erotic game, finally ending (or at least slowly replacing) the era of incest grind fests (thanks for nothing Big Brother). I don't even mind the "clones", many of them are pretty promising in their own right. I feel like BaDIK has substantially raised the bar for quality and signals a slow maturation for the "industry" of erotic games.

there are many games that imitate BADIK especially from an aesthetic point of view: reference image with various girls on different colored backgrounds for example

from the point of view of history I wouldn't be sure. as a general story BADIK is very trivial, then it is the development that makes the difference.

for example I recently played "no more secrets" and it reminded me a lot of BADIK, but I don't think there was any emulative will, it was just the story of a student with his various sentimental rounds with professors and students ... nothing new under the sun

Too right mate.

I never even finished Acting Lessons because it was so painfully asinine at the time, but in hindsight with BADIK becoming the defining western porn VN, it was

I do not agree with you

Quinn is a bad one right now, without a doubt.
Two considerations save her from conviction.

1) we don't know her reasons, where does all this money go? what are they for?
2) she hasn't done anything irreparable yet. no character has yet paid a major price for Quinn's CRIMINAL exploits.

these are 2 aspects that can change in a moment, and completely, the judgment on the character. the first point could save her, the second condemn her without appeal

I find it funny that in the flashback picture you have shown Jill looks much older than in the present.... she's like in her 30s' or something.

I saw a few pages back, someone saying Sage's father neglected her. I don't remember that being said in the game. We see that Sage wants nothing to do with him but neglect from him ?

As for Quinn. Yeah she is an interesting character. Don't like her both inside and out though. She's like the 3rd least beautiful of the HOT with Sarah second ( she's so plain) and Helena first( ugly to boot)

Watching all those tier lists. Almost everytime heather is at the bottom, why is that?
She's not my type but I do think her gorgeous, and despite her very little apparition time I find her interesting.

Hang on, what makes Quinn grey? I'm not saying she's pure evil, nor that she's beyond redemption, but what has she done so far that could even charitably described as good?

To date, she's been consistently portrayed as a selfish schemer who abuses the trust of those around her and pisses people off as a hobby. The closest I can think of to her doing something kind for anyone is agreeing not to charge the MC for sex if he smokes weed with her on the rooftop. That's well short of grey in my book.

Maybe someday we'll see Quinn's good side. If so, I'll be happy to reevaluate her character based on what we learn. Until then, I don't find much ambiguity in her, nor do I find her particularly interesting.
