That's a good point, and I admit it is a thorny issue. On the one hand I do understand how people feel uncomfortable with the situation. But my main concern is the quality of AVN's. I want to see us come to a place where there are many well written AVN's available, where the market isn't flooded with simplistic or shallow stories. So Maya has made a lot of mistakes in this story, and her inability to solve her own issues gets on some people's nerves, like really badly. But other people see her as someone who needs a break in life.

Every character in the game is flawed, and that's great, it's what makes them interesting and provides fodder for discussion. Unfortunately the discussions are typical so hyperbolic that people lose sight of what they are discussing:
