Plus how her friendship with Jill started. They are too many years apart imo and are too close to each other for it to be something minor. Whatever it is its major, it have to be. A simple divorce is not major and how can Jill relate to that with Bella? That scene early on in the library is haunting me and what made me invested in Bella. If its not hard hitting DPC is absolutely terrible and an awful writer.
I agree, if the revelation isn't very serious, the next time someone bags DPC's writing, I'll be like, "Yep". Arigon, DavDR, you guys can hold me to that. :p

Regarding Jill though, my guess. due to the age difference, is that Bella was a friend of Lana. She knows what happened with Lana and she formed a bond with Jill. Explains why she is so protective over her too.

Yay, we're back to Bella's theories! :p I'll re-write again some of my personal theories, cause I live for this shit:

- It's proven that Jill 'does stuff' in her sleep. The reason why Bella was cautious wasn't because she did stuff with Jill, but because Jill might have used her the same way she used Tremolo's hand when he slept in the same bed with her. If this actually happened, it wasn't Bellas fault, but she'd still feel guilty cause she's supposed to be the adult, and the wiser one. (And Jill is just a friend, and a younger student).

- Personally, I had a theory that involved Bella being sexually assaulted in a library (remember the mental breakdown she had with MC while in the library). James witnessed what happened in there and he thought it was concensual, so he abandoned Bella (like packing his things and just vanishing without contacting her again, or asking for a divorce). That's why Bella is mad that he left, but at the same time she feels guilty and is unable to move on. She expects that someday he'll come back to his senses and return home.

- I don't think she willingly had a 3way with the Burkes (Jade mentions they tried to convince her, as if it didn't actually happened). I think that sleazy Burke kept acting weirdly towards her, which makes her feel disgusted and betrayed (And Maybe the Burkes were her friends before that. If true, this would explain her dislike for Jade, the disgust for Burke, the reason why she hates Tybalt and why she didn't expect much from Sage when she first met her.

- Locked door? I don't think it has Jame's rotting corpse in it, I bet it's gonna be something as simple as having some of the stuff James left behind when he abandoned her.

Nothing further, your honor.

Do we even know what age Isabella is? Or is that information "conveniently" never told so the player can imagine her at any mature age they prefer? Ive probably missed it somewhere.

If not, lets give her a generous (comically really) low age of 34? Shes about the same age as Jade and Stephen which have 21ish year old children (at least one of which is adopted) so they are for sure around 40-45. Doesnt Stephen claim they are about the same age in that row about cheating, that Isabella is almost their age? (Personally ive been thinking of her as 40, Jade+Stephen as 45 but anyway)

Jill is 21ish now. How old was she in the flashback with Lana? Teenager i think, say 13 then and Lana was at least 18 i should think, maybe a year or two more. That could create a 26 year old Bella and a 18-20 year old Lana being friends? Sure could work.

Oh, now that would be interesting. Sexual assault is certainly heavy enough stuff to carry with you. And a runaway Lana could easily have suffered something similar.

I think this is most likely too. I don't think it's related to James' disappearance.

Come on, man! Bella HERSELF told you what happened, for crying out loud!

Basically, she cheated on him with a family friend. He found out and left.

Period.

This mentally retarded idea of the deceased husband must stop, damnit!
I never pushed the James is dead theory. In fact, I'm saying the opposite. My point is, the return should not be dragged out any longer. If DPC is going to make James return, then it needs to happen soon, like ep 9/10 soon, not later. This silliness with her husband drama has been going on for too long without answers.

So in ep 10 James returns claims Bella and the snowflake leaves B&R for good... the end ! :KEK: Guess this is a scenario for Arigons taste :LOL:

I'm not back home from vacation yet, so I haven't begun to catch up on my reading. Still, I wanted to leave you with at least some idiocy while I'm out:

I can't count the number of times I've passed that highway exit heading for the Florida beaches, but for the last couple years my wife thinks my chuckle is still just a nod to the Forrest Gump reference.

What happens in F95...

When Bella talks about the beginning of her college days, she mentions it was 18 years ago. Let's assume she started when she was 18, so she should be around 36 years old.

In the Lana flashback, Jill would more likely have been 6 or 7, definitely not 13, unless she was a retarded kid... oh... :p, nah, she was just a little kid at the time.

So back to ages, my estimates are:

Bella:36
Jill: 21
Flashback Lana: 21 or 22 (if she was to be Bella's age)
Flashback Jill: 6 or7

I'm currently having a problem playing the game. I've downloaded and extracted, but there doesn't seem to be a start button, and the interlude button is greyed out. Any help would be appreciated!

Yeah i think we must stop these theories too... played just recently a jill and bella playthrough... well lets face it, it is kinda obvious what happend. (maybe too obvious and thats the reason to go ooff the trail and coming up with other theories)

Bella fooled around with Jill or was about to do so. Husband left, and she is a mental mess after that.

Whats behind the locked door? I for one will go with a kink room... she is the only character in the whole game who likes to be dominant or switches to be submissive (nope, quinn isnt a dominant or submissive girl... she is just a bitch and is bitchy, that is not the same as to be dominant for a kink). yeah i think its a BDSM thing in that room and she hides it. I think sometimes we forget... its a porngame after all.

I was running other theories too, like dead husband and some kind of "shrine" behind the door... but nah... and i dont think she was "ahllucinating" or something like that in the flashback... these are only some misleading hints by DPC to hide the obvious thing that Jill isnt that innocent.

And that would explain why Jill is so angry after she caught MC and bella "in the act" (angry if you dont go for Jill, heartbroken of course if you have something with jill, but the angry part goes for Bella, thats obvious)
Honestly, If I were to guess I would say it was with Lana and not Jill. From how it seems Bella and James havent been together in quite sometime. If thats the case going by Jills age she could of possibly been under the age of 18 if they fooled around. Im gonna go out on a limb and say Jill who is super vanilla wouldnt be doing things at that age.

Lana was more of the rebel of the family and would have been closer to Bella in age. It would explain why Bella and Jill are so close now because of how good of friends Lana and Bella were before hand. Also could explain why Lana hasnt been around, She left after breaking up Bella and James marriage. And why Bella has stayed so close to Jill because she knows how much Jill loved Lana and is trying to be the sister figure since she left.

I am sure you will find a way, it will take you time, you will have to do some research, but you will find a way to make sense of it.

if anyone can do it it's you:cool:

Other than the opening scene where the mc talks to us directly to set the scene, this is the only other time where he alludes to future events.
Nope. Last scene in Episode 8: when MC, Sage, Josy and Maya are going to Sage's. Italic text: MC is telling us Stephen Slimey Burke is going to reject Sage's request for helping Maya.

The whole story is MC telling us a story from his past (you can tell it's MC's diary). As you write, Italic words is MC talking directly to us.

Anyway,

DrPinkCake/MC is telling us at the end of ep.8 that the Burkes won't help Maya. What's going to happen, now?

My guess: Maya will join the HOTs and live with Sage.

Anyway, about Bella:

1) James won't come back. Reason why: this game has a Bella's route, too;

2) Jill's not just a dear friend. Bella thinks of her as a daughter.

Inb4 Impregnation Lord shazba gets executed for speaking against the ugly goblin by her followers like Mark and that Jill Royce guy. :Kappa:

Anyone who pursued Jill and chose her at the end of ep. 8 has realized by now that IF Being A DIK had a "true route" and a "canon ending" like those Japanese dating Visual Novels, Jill's route would be the REAL path and Jill would be the CANON girl. Jill is the real deal.

So, honestly, I think you might want to drop playing BaDIK.

10. Crabs. Arieth. Sorry guys. :ROFLMAO: Just for fun, comedic relief. It's a creative approach where a character is made ridiculously dumb. It worked, laughing at her stupidity under the table. It would probably take a whole library to record her body count.
[There should be a picture of Arieth the monster from Dungeons and Gremlins, but I couldn't find it anywhere]:KEK:

Wow, that was a hell of a long post. I will be glad to hear reactions and discussions, next time I will write about the characters that enrage me. A collection of the most disgusting characters, both female and male.

I don't think that's entirely accurate.

The italics bit is right. Whenever he talks directly to us as the listener, that's how it's presented, but none of them (excluding the intro and the library scene) break from the narrative at that point and talk about the future:
  • There's the intro. (ep1)
  • The library scene. (ep3)
  • The "doors" monologue at the closing of episode 3. It's relevant to things at that time (Josy arriving, Dawe cancelling his "prescription", Bella's locked door etc.)
  • The episode 7 mid-episode monologue when the mc reflects on how things had slowed down since Hell Week. These are just his thoughts about that time.
  • The end of episode 7 monologue interspersed with the events at the time. Once again, just his musings at that episode's events.
  • Episode 8's brutal dumping from Jill. He talks about it in retrospect, but once again, it's only talking about what happened at the time, and what lead up to it.
  • Then there was episode 8's ending monologue. While talking from the future (like you say, the whole story is being related to us by his future self), he's only talking about the events at that time. He does question how it was he never knew Sage was a Burke, but he's not talking about the future, he's talking about discovering it then and there. There's nothing said about what he Burkes were going to do, or what the outcome of the meeting would be, he just explained his shock at discovering they were all related.
So like I said initially, the library scene is the only scene (other than the game's intro) where he alludes to future knowledge. And as far as I'm aware, 5 episodes later, we still don't have that knowledge yet.

I don't think that's true at all.

Each girl plays to a very different type of player preference:
  • Jill is for the guys looking for the "perfect virgin".
  • Sage is for the guys looking for the "sexy cheerleader".
  • M&J are for the guys looking for a threesome with the "drama queen" and the "girl next door".
  • Bella is for the guys looking for the "MILF" (even though she's technically not a mom, or is she?).
  • Quinn is for the guys looking for the "bad girl".
and so on. There are heaps of base stereotypes that have been used, of course the characters have been developed beyond that, but those base stereotypes have their initial appeal.

If Jill appeals to you, and her final scene strikes a chord for you, that's great. For me, all her talk about destiny and shit creeps me out.

What's great about all these characters are that none of them are actually perfect. They are all humanly flawed, and it's quite interesting to see which flaws people here can overlook, and which flaws drive people here crazy.
