Maya stans attacking Quinn because "Quinn stans attacked Maya first.". It's not just Quinn stans who don't like Maya, it's basically everyone who isn't a Maya stan, whether they prefer Quinn, Sage, Josy or any other girl, it's basically the same as Jill, it's Jill stans vs everyone else, not just Jill stans vs Sage (for example) stans.
It's funny tho. I mean, it's known that I'm not the biggest Maya fan, hell, she irritates me. I meme on her from time to time as well.
But I don't hate the character. I actually hope she gets her shit together and solves the problems. My main issue is that no matter what route you are on, every route is getting attached to solving her issues, so at times it feels like Maya is the MC, and FuckFace the vessel for the story.
So many characters in the game for us to enjoy, let everyone enjoy his girls and that's it.

This is well said, so hating a character due to DPC's writing is kind of pointless. At the end of the day, it's DPC who made Maya the way she is. For all my not being the biggest fan of Maya, I did find funny moments and joy in the MJ route. Would be lying if I'm not hopeful for a solo Josy route, but it is what it is. MJ route was dead in the water for me early on, but to each his own.
Never was really about Quinn, and more about her fans, who were constantly trashing and hating Maya, and refuse to admit that quinn might have flaws. " oh she just misunderstood ".

Fun fact, Quinn and Maya are similar, lets say opposites of the same coin. Both are in deep shit. Both require help to get out of their shit. Both will most likely depend on MC fucking Priscilla or something like that. The resolve of the Burke/Priscilla thing will in a way most likely free both Maya and Quinn. We don't know much about why Quinn is doing what she is. Is she being forced and blackmailed. So much to learn still. Overall, without the complete game, we can only speculate. But Maya and Quinn ain't that different. Just Maya is the pure and passive type, Quinn is the aggressive and Queen B type.
Hell, Sage could end up being the real big bad at this point. Since destroying the Burkes will destroy her life.
Sticking with Sage might end up the most DIK thing to do, who the fuck knows. Game can go into so many dirrections.
