sampow, I was just about to reply to your post. So I'll do it this way.

The lightning itself is a clue.
EP1: Josy flashes herself.
EP4: Josy is actually behind the camera and is not flashed.
EP9: Josy is not used to being in front of the camera because the flash surprised her.

Now you just have to read what Josy says just before her flash in EP9.

Oops.
"It’s not illegal for friends to be in the same picture."

Friends is definitely a DPC clue that leads us to EP4 because that's when Josy and Maya took a picture before they had sex for the first time, and Josy was behind the camera. Why is this important?

Maya said in EP4 flashback that Josy, who wanted to move in with her father, has friends here too. I figure so she had more than friends. So who is the one who knows about cameras and also sets up the camera in EP9? Elena.

What the flying fuck are you on about?

The whole "friends" thing is, they are kinda nervous to be in a photo together because they don't want people to know they are in a relationship, but like Josy says, there's nothing wrong with friends being in a photo together. And that's fucking all there is to it.

Everything else you said is just total bullshit.

Episode 9 was available on December 2022, before that, the episode 8 was out in March 2022... like it's a high quality content, and the episode 10 is probably the last one to close the story, i bet that it will take at least several months

DPC said we just passed the half-way mark with Episode 8 and he plans to make 15-17 episodes in total so Episode 10 will very much not be the last one.

What that means ? will it be an earlier release ? like november :WaitWhat:
Late summer, early fall, is the most logical guess right now, if things go well.

Also, I'm sure Ep10 will raise even more questions and 'WTF!?' moments.
So, if you think Dalli is bad now with weird out of left field personal 'foot-notes',
then might I suggest you brace yourselves.

I've been plugging holes in the episode this week - no pun intended.

I've played the first half of the episode and tried to fill in any missing segments, be it renders, animations, sound effects, or music. This way, I could complete some half-done scenes that have been waiting for my attention and some new scenes as well.
I worked on some GUI stuff for the Party Planner that was missing, and here is a teaser of it:
1691084010480.png
I worked on clucks and phone chats - art and writing - and also carried out some PC maintenance. Overall, it was a productive week.
The current progress shows these numbers compared to the episode 9 release.
3913 renders posed (78%)
213 animations posed (70%)

The animation count hasn't grown a lot, but that's because I've been working on longer cutscene animations, and I treat them the same as a mere two-second animation in these stats.
Looking at my episode flowchart, I can see roughly 57% of it has been completed. But since it treats free-roam events and short scenes equally, the progress should be higher as many longer scenes are completed.
If I were to guess, I'd say development is around 70% completed. The odds are that the render count will be the highest yet, but we'll see as I continue to create the episode.
As you know, estimating completion is the hardest thing for me to do accurately, but we're not close to release yet.
I'll be continuing to work like this next week. I have some scenes with Zoey, Sage, Jill, and Isabella coming up.

Other information
Here's a little FYI. From the end of June to the start of July, I'll take roughly two weeks off.
It's been seven years since I last had a vacation, and this one comes at a time when I'll be at a wedding and traveling with my wife.
My time available for work during those weeks would already be somewhat limited, so I figured it was finally time for me to schedule some time off.
I will prepare a big animation queue that will last throughout those two weeks; I don't want the development to come to a grinding halt - it will be my top priority.
And I'll schedule some previews during the time I'm off too.

Have a nice weekend

Since you are a newbie I'll cut you some slack and give you a history lesson.

Ep 8 was released in November 2021. The interlude was released in March 2022.

Also, we know for a fact that Ep 10 will not be the last one to close the story. DPC has said there are 4 seasons. And we've just properly started season 3 with Ep 9.

So, you literally got your facts wrong in your earlier post re-quoted below. And given DPC's history, a more educated guess (and I emphasize it's only a guess at this point) would be Sept/Oct of this year.

Thanks for the answers, in fact, i didn't count the interlude as an episode... now, i understand more.

It's a good news if there will be 4 seasons (16 episodes), it's better than the 10 i supposed, based on the v0.91

It's good that the Сyberpunk DLS is coming out in August and I can play it in peace until the new episode comes out in September.

- What many expected - Thanksgiving Party will take place.

- A lot of work has been done on static renders and animations, Ep.10 is in development for 5 months and 3 weeks, it's faster than Ep.9, BUT ... this guy really does not know how to control himself and given his data of 70% completed work and vacation - before the release of Ep. 10 at least three months, that is, September. In order to overtake the speed of development of Ep.9, he needs to keep to Sep 30.

- I will not blame him for vacation, man worked without resting for several years. The main thing is that his computers will be doing animations all this time - most likely he will not go anywhere during the vacation with his wife - no one will leave PCs running at full capacity for two weeks without supervision.

-Some good news: Sage and Zoey will get attention in Ep 10.

If the game does come out in October, I don't understand it. A release once a year is too long. DPC must be a marketing genius if they're able to keep the attention on the game so far.
Dunno... my seed gets leeched constantly. I think it's passed self-marketing at this point and has reached zeitgeist status. Like, if you're interested in sci-fi you know you need to watch Empire Strikes Back, ST:TNG/DS9, and Firefly. If you like interactive smut, you know you need to play BaDIK, Pale Carnations, and Eternum.

No, he will go on a trip, he said so directly. This is very risky, since an error can always occur during rendering, but he will probably be able to remotely control the process.
