I did a little calculation on frames of animations from Ep. 9, which was 41 weeks in development, and it turns out that the average speed in that period was 2282 frames / 2 weeks, now we see about + 90% performance increase.
But as you can see, this doesn't speed up the development, DPC adds new animations, including no-lewd, making the game more cinematic.
But it seems to be done by all developers who can afford powerful hardware. You have new opportunities - you want to realize them. Of course, I would like this guy to maintain balance and not go beyond the speed limits of Ep.9
Perhaps we will see riots again soon due to slow development.

Of course, this relationship must be made legal in some form. If you still have to keep it a secret and you have to meet like that, it's not good in the long run. It can lead to conflict and a breakup. The players don't want that. I know BR has its own rules for this... Although it's a bit of a bold idea, what if "someone" rewrites this book?

Ask yourself the EP9 hype question from DPC's point of view.

Of course he hyped it, but not to make our mouths water, but because he himself was proud of his work. From EP1 to EP8, the branching wasn't very serious. In EP9, however, the branches are like in a nexus, which required a lot of overview and also cost a lot of work.

I'm currently playing through BaDIK again, because I bought new hardware. Thereby I always notice something new. Among them is the reason why Vinny threw the books from the MC off the shelf. Because the MC is canonically a motherfucker, even if he didn't fuck Jade. But the MC definitely makes out with Isabella in EP2. Yes Isabella has no children of her own, but that doesn't have to apply to James and many assume by the children's staircase in Isabella's bathroom so that a child once lived in the house. Furthermore, we learn in EP8 at hair divorce so that Isabella knows about it. This will be a surprise for Isabella fans. The MC is a motherfucker and he won't get out of this one.

All in all, DPC was proud of his work in EP9 because he had a lot to subtly reveal without making it too obvious.

In my opinion, the fact that they are aware that there might be a problem makes a clear difference. On the one hand it creates the necessity that at some point, with badik's extreme slowness, they will find out, and at that point it seems to me unlikely that they will find out that they are free to do what they want.

Let's see what we have after episode 9:




All MGs, except Maya, are only at the first level, i.e. they will still have enough scenes to unlock the future content and 2D art.

Camila, Nicole, Jade, Lily, Melanie, Quinn, Riona, Sarah are on a second level already. This means that we have to do only one scene with each of them to reach a maximum level. What this could mean? Most of them, with an exception of Jade & Nicole are HOTs sisters. What if we are probably close to the end in their paths? For various reasons and possibilities. What if reveal of Stephen's dark side business, as well as Quinn involved would blow away HOTs itself as well as most of it's sisters? Following this logic it's easy to explain the 2nd level for Jade - she definitely won't stand aside from this and affair with her won't end well. Nicole & Lily are also work in Pink Rose. If shit will hit the blower, then probably Pink Rose will collapse as well.

Remaining teachers & MILFs are Nora and Cathy. Since we had only a few content with them, it's understandable and reasonable.

And Zoey's path is just beginning.

Now back to MGs. All, except Maya are only at first level, which probably guarantee us that their stories will be dragged till the end of the game. What 2nd level would mean to Maya? Does her tuition & dad problem may end bad? So, she probably could be forced to leave B&R? Don't forget about her conversation with Stephen, he, on his side, will probably force her to leave B&R too, as it happened with Mona previously. We haven't seen what happened in time between HOT's ceremony, where Mona once again opened her mouth and breaked the agreement with Quinn that she will stay silent; and her actual leaving the B&R same day. We haven't seen the consequences of that Stephen's call to Priscilla after he had a talk with Maya and realised that she know too much. And... perhaps... that's is how Throuple & single Josy path trouble may resolve... Personally, I want to see the Throuple/single paths for both of them/good friends/break up paths and consequences and different branches/sub-branches of J&M, but I don't believe for sure that this is feasible. It's too much work, different scenes (including lewd ones) and conditions have to be done and met for this to work. That would make this whole branch even bigger than the rest, as it has been all along. I wouldn't mind if DPC implement all this, but damn it, isn't it such an elegant solution and also a source of drama? I don't like it, but if this scenes/2D art logic is correct and coherent, then probably we may lose Maya soon. If it's true, then probably all things will intensify and unfold closer to the Season 3 end. "Calm before the snow". Season 4 would probably be about fighting with consequences and leading us to the different game endings, as it was in AL.

On the other hand, this would mean that side girls content will be limited and this can explain only one remaining level for most of SGs. Because only part of them could get content in each future episode, while MGs rights to have their space and place in each episode are cemented. But Maya don't fit in this logic, again.

This is the case when I would like to be wrong and be deluded, because I like many of the side girls and I would like to see the development of relationship with them. But... the implementation of all this makes the game not just big, but huge. And the words of the DPC about the difficulties with the episode 10, while this is only the second episode with a real branching of the plot... If he tries to play and implement all the options and branches that we have on hand now, including all possible and potential permutations, then I'm afraid it will just get out of control soon or later. Probably soon than later. That's why I have such thoughts.

p.s. Finally, he may announce in times of Season 4 that "fuck all!", we are at the mid for real and are moving to 6-8 seasons. Then we may get all of the possible routes and branches being played out in full, but I would probably be dead when the last EP will come out

I wouldn't be surprised if Ep 10 will have 30 mins of animations or more.

Suprise! Ep. 10 will be a 1 1/2 hour animation movie, 4090s be praised!

If same thing happens in this episode - bunch of animations and shit no one really asked for, he shouldn't be so surprised that his fanbase turns on him. Then he will throw a fit and bitch to people just like he did after ep9.
I applaud hit work ethic but he is his own biggest enemy.

In fact, we should be grateful. Yes, grateful for these wonderful animations, which are an example of high-level art. Remembering that great thing, an Oscar-worthy animation - an unforgettable Arieth bus ride (the role of the bus driver is especially good. I doubt Marlon Brando would have done better), my heart sinks with anticipation of a new extraordinary masterpiece that the Great Master is preparing for us.

I also feel that animations in BaD are (moslty) a waste of developing time and I fear that in the next episode we'll see panoramic camera movements of street or dudes walking in slow motion like in the opening of some 90's teen fiction. In an AVN I expect that the limited animations are all in the sex scenes or to convey eroticism, because you can make just a few of them, so you have to made decisions according to priorities. If your priority is emulating the camera movements of Sergio Leone maybe you're a bit off the track.
Any time I woud prefer the rendering time dedicated to laggy and bad animations (compared to the current state of the art in that field) to be used for extra lewd renderings, extra scenes, some funny crap by Derek or even Tybalt being publicly ridiculed.

Yes , porn game shouldnt be the center of your life but - a lot of guys that play game now maybe wont have the interest or time or something else in 2-3 years time , im 30 years old - i love the story , love the models and love realism of this game ( girls are not lusty braindead whores , mc need to try hard to get some girl , and mc is regular joe in the way of thinking not in the way of looks but his look is also possible to achieve ) but if this take more than 5 years to finish i dont know will i be interested in porn games in that time ( i discover avns in begining of 2022 and to be honest beside this and 2 more games i find them boring now , so if this keep going on and he have episodes like ep9 with small amount of story ill maybe just give up )

If, in a few years, people have lost interest in this game, that's totally fine. It's like losing interest in a series that you've been enjoying for a few years; either you grow out of it, or it starts losing its appeal. Then new people come along and fall in love with it and it starts all over again for that crew.

It's no different to enjoying tv series like Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones. You could have binged a season, but then you had to wait a year for the next season, then binge that and so on. If you start watching for the first time after it's already completed, there's no waiting, but if you started watching when the first episode came out, you have to wait for years before it's all done.

I got into GoT when it first aired, and it took another 8 years to see the end of it. Although it started to drop in quality around season 6, was anyone really worried that people would simply just lose interest in it? It only picked up more viewership year after year, and as it received more and more mainstream hype, viewership lepted up (ironically as the series got worse).

So yeah, sitting on a forum hoping episodes will come out sooner is one sure way of getting frustrated as DPC takes longer and longer to deliver each episode, but each episode also runs longer and longer, so it's not like he's slowly losing interest and dragging his feet; he's just getting more and more ambitious.

I think actively waiting for the episodes often results in disappointment. I was seriously disappointed with the last episode, but after playing the entire game again in the last few months it fits in well with the rest of the game, and once there's another episode to encase it, it won't be a problem at all.

I don't think DPC is milking this game, I think he's overly ambitious, upping his output continuously because he's thoroughly enjoying his development. It's annoying to wait longer and longer, but if you're not waiting for the game, when you find out it's been released it'll be fun, and if you've moved on to something else, then it doesn't matter does it?

I understand exactly what you mean, but I have a problem. I am an old generation gamer and for me there are no good games on the market right now. I'm not interested in another AVN because everything is just worse than Being a DIK and Battlefield 2042 has more than disappointed me.

I'm waiting patiently for "Starfield", then the long wait of Being a DIK won't bother me anymore.

Being worse than Being a Dik isn't necessarily a bad game, since the bar has been lifted very high for this game. There are tons of games worth downloading for free here, but I won't list them since that's kinda frowned on.

Sorry man, you are so into details and yet you do not notice that those boots do not touch ground? I know DPC does not really care about posing accurately, but that would be an unacceptable compositional error even by his very loose approach. Contrary to what perspective would have it if the boots rested on the floor, the toes of the shoes are lower than the heels. There are at least 10cm from the boots to the floor. That cannot be a posing error, it's just too big. That is an hanging corpse, someone hanged himself on a rope in that room.

It's hard to say, for this we need to know what this guy has in his head. Given the latest data, the most optimistic scenario is mid-September, but we don't know how many animations DPC will decide to make.
What he said in yesterday's status update: he can run through the whole episode, but there is still a lot of work and new scenes.
I'm considering September, but things can change.

Damn that makes sense. I mean Bella branch was too convenient, wasn't it? Sage branch had Tybalt and Jade, Maya and Josy branch had Maya's dad and Tommy and Jill branch had her family and friends. In comparison to them Bella has a drama free and convenient route that no one is going to trouble mc. That's not DPC style. I thought in Bella branch mc had to deal with James but Vinny and Zoey? That's really something else.

DPC has spread breadcrumbs throughout the game and the only thing you have to do is follow those breadcrumbs. In EP2, Maya shows the MC some pictures on her phone. In one picture she says the following.

"l have so many fond memories of the wildlife."
