So I have a theory to spend the week on !

What if Dalli is actually Dalli Pink Cake ? The way he finds all the hints and theories, it's like he created all the renders... interesting
There's a minor flaw with this theory. Dalli is talking shit 99% of the time. Other than that, it's a good theory...

This week I started playing the episode and felt inspired to polish every scene along the way - to the extent that it became my main focus all week. I ended up doing lots of work that I had postponed for later, but the end result of many scenes is starting to show.
I worked on SFX/Music. Many sound effects were missing but have now been added. New songs and a healthy mix of re-used songs have been used.
I both trimmed and fleshed out the writing in different parts of the episode.
I ensured that the non-minigame route flows well in the parts where there usually are mini-games and got the optional needed code.
The non-minigame route can be tricky since a mini-game can add context to the story, and cutting it completely would feel lackluster for those who play without them. Making an alternative feature for this route, for example, the choice-based party planning in episode 9 and forward, is sometimes needed. But there's always this careful deliberation if it's acceptable to add something since the main purpose of the non-minigame route is that it should be focused on the story with few distractions.
Furthermore, I worked on a couple of clucks. One was demanding due to branching content and plenty of NPC interaction.
While polishing some phone content code, I decided to add something that's been in the back of my mind for a long time that I know many of you want. From start to finish, it took me roughly 8 hours to complete, which is way less than I had expected. And I think this preview of the feature can speak for itself.

Note that the Gallery is another new feature of Episode 10 and that it's not the Special Renders in the Rewards app you can use this way, but any image put in this new gallery. It will make sense when you play the game.
I'm trying to get my new PC up and running today. All parts are finally here for one of the upgrades, which will be a priority this weekend.
Whenever I swap PCs, they have to be brought up to a certain standard with software and files - so that they don't throw errors when rendering. This usually takes me 1-2 days to set up if everything goes smoothly. I'm still waiting for parts to build another PC to push things up yet another notch. But I have no news regarding this one yet.
My animation queue has 31 animations in it, and I will push on working with a mix of everything next week.
I played some episode 10 scenes for the first time this week, and they turned out so good that I can't wait to show you and see your reactions. Overall, I'm very pleased with the amount of branching this episode allows.
It's been a long wait, and there is still some time to go, but I am doing my best to make the wait worthwhile.
Have a nice weekend.

That is actually my favourite. Not that the only other competition to Leaf in the Rain are horrendous 2D arts.

This. The reason why this game is top tier are little nuances like this that makes it different than others in the genre.

I've played games with better renders and animations but none had me hooked like BaDIK.
I think it's the combination of top quality + those mini-games, little details, etc. + story & characters with a heart.

Don't want to bash any other specific game, but when I play any other game, it's either done worse than BaDIK or it's a porn-fucking game that tries to fool you with poorly written story and characters.

People overuse the expression "came to fap, stayed for story," but it's the best description of BaDIK you will find.

Isn't that obvious. I think so Steve could have something to do with Thanksgiving Party. Why? It's also in a park. What do you need at this party? A barbecue. In EP1 the MC said to make Steve clean the grill.

The MC kind of looks like a piece of junk on the Rionas Preview.

We have a major choice with Steve in EP2 and a long time ago we were puzzled why? Somehow I think so that the decision of Steve's major choice in EP10 could become important. Also Josy mentioned pretty much at the end of EP9 that the MC shouldn't be Steve.
The grill they would have in a convenience store is a big, flat, metal cook surface (typically heated by natural gas or propane) like you would find in a fast food location to cook burgers on. It's not the kind of grill you would find in a park.

(y).mine too, so his new idea is totally useless shit, and I'm pretty sure after checking out once, most people won't bother with it anymore, anyway.
if only LMMF would show the same dedication toward the other aspects of the game than he does with the mini games:whistle::LOL:

bullshit, the story is the weakest part of this game,:cautious:

That's a dangerous question you're asking. There is a legend, a terrible legend, about one game whose name cannot be pronounced (I speak and even write in a whisper ...). Well, overcoming fear, I will give out these terrible words - College Kings...

well after episode 8, interlude, and 9. BaD has better renders and animations than CK. However, CK is still very much worth playing. In my top list of top AVNs.

I don't get it, people want game with content, but hate the waiting? What do you expect? An episode every month with like 1 hour of gameplay? This shit takes time.
We have a lot of games that release content so fast, but it's not any enjoyable, or immersive etc

Come on. What makes you think that someone here hates waiting?! We all love it. Perhaps we even like waiting more than playing a game. You can only play for a few hours, and wait for almost a year. The year of bliss. I'm sure people here would be happy to wait another 10 months, but this DPC is in such a hurry all the time. He absolutely does not want to listen to anyone. So stubborn man.

People like to moan. When an update comes out the usual suspects come out of hiding and go "rararara me bored, me want play. Why so slow?!" Then slink back into hiding until the next update to recycle the same ol' jibberish. Like they are stuck in a perpetual groundhog day scenario of never being satisfied. Because the same people would moan if the dev time was 6 months and there wasn't as much content "Who no more content? Why short? You should have spent more time developing!"

And so the cog goes round and round. Some people just like to moan but rarely would they try to do anything about it. Like create a game with DPC level of detail in under 6 months on their own.

Just wait until we get full cut scene episodes its going to be better then diarrhea shit :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Honestly we probably closer to update then we think(I hope, if I'm wrong I'm wrong) but status reports like today make slapping a baby sound like a good idea as long as it isn't yours of course :ROFLMAO::Kappa:

I have no issue with dev times as long as they're not being extended needlessly. You'll see me posting in other threads defending devs against people complaining about the waiting time. However I do have a problem with a dev taking a week doing something that he'll be doing again before he releases the game. In this update DPC mentions he has an animation queue but doesn't say anything about a render queue. That suggests he could have been posing renders to create a queue, instead he spent "most" of this week polishing already completed scenes, which is a process he will re-do when all the renders and animations are complete.
