From the moment of the release till now there have been 60 pages written, and every page has 20 posts. So 1200 posts were written while 1000 are complaints. Just wow.

Yeah, and 990 come from people who still haven't realised after 4 years that they shouldn't mod this game and they shouldn't edit their saves.

After EP 9, I had significantly lower expectations, but I thought EP 10 was fantastic despite the new dogshit mini-games and the frustrating chopped-up narrative early on. DPC shines when he writes emotional scenes. There are many great moments with different characters, but I thought Derek was hands down the standout in this one.

I will not feel the same way when I have to replay it because that stretch from EP9 up until roughly the halfway mark of EP10 would be fucking brutal, especially if you don't have saves with the mini-games turned off. It will be an absolute slog to go through. If DPC thinks most of his audience genuinely enjoys the needlessly prolonged free-roam events and the dozen new mini-games, he's smoking crack.

Free roams are nice. Those shitty new maths and science lab minigames aren't. The fish game is... cute. Beer pong is... meh.

I haven’t played the new update yet, because I’m waiting for my language to be translated, I finished all the paths and saved everyone separately (I play on Android) half a year ago , does that mean that my saves in the new update won’t work? Judging by the comments it seemed like this to me...

minigames and choices are good for game growth . However a game crashing every few scenes is pathetic

I too disagree with a lot of the criticism given here. One of the things that makes this game stand out is it's branching paths and consequential storylines.

But one cannot excuse these minigames. The minigames should serve a narrative as well as a gameplay purpose that actually pertains to the storyline. Doing english and math tests are fine if the results tie in to story scenes down the lines. But like the lockpicking minigames in Bethesda games they should be short and sweet and to the point.

The science minigame is a real drag, but the fish minigame? I just skipped over it, the first time ever I didn't even try to succeed at a minigame. Combine that with no optional flag in the game to turn off minigames outside of the one at the very start, and I end up not even exploring the other paths because there's another completely non-story related minigame in the way.

It seems to me DPC is more busy with making roadblocks for modders than making a playable game for gamers. So far I have not been playing. Only mini-gaming. From the black box, to english, to the stupid new math to the fishtank to the party planner. I have gone from one minigame to next. All of the made as difficult as possible. Up till now he minigames been bearable, but now they get complex and complicated. It ruins the game and the gameflow. I have been stuck for two hours with the planner for god sake....

So, the crashing issue is just with modded saves? I thought it was crashing on clean games too? Is DPC just out to get the pirates or are Patrons having this issue as well? If it's crashing for Patrons, how the hell did it make it out of testing?

I think the issue isnt necessarily like a bug because of a coding conflict or whatever. The issue these guys are having is more about how DrPinkcake seems insistent in blocking mods.THey are deliberately trying to screw over those who uses the mods and people are still confused on why.

I thought the reason why has been OBVIOUS for a long time.

Whenever an unofficial mod balks a game, the game developer gets inundated with complaints and bug fix requests rather than the modder. Several devs have spoken out about this. A game developer owes a player using an unofficial, third-party mod NOTHING...

Yeah I used to not care about sandboxes either way back when this was Ep1. Now I hate them, enough to usually just not even dl anything with a sandbox tag. If DPC wanted to make a game and not an AVN he should have just made a 3D game in Unreal or something and not bothered with Renpy, which really wasn't meant for anything more complicated than choices/consequences (and even then sometimes variables get lost when an AVN gets big enough, like 50-100k lines, so the player has to reenter earlier choices in a later update), so no wonder there's so many crashes/bugs people are asking about how to get past. I'm probably never going to replay it just for other paths if I'm still stuck with the free roam crap to get lost in (hoping it will be skippable like the minigames when this gets a completed tag).

Sancho's mod doesn't have any timebombs and doesn't have any effect on the game, never has. So, if you used his, you are fine.

I'm so freaking depressed. Trying to play fresh and having choices I want to make greyed out, cockblocked by some stat from who knows where. I don't mind minigames, free roams... but to not have clarity in your choices is super frustrating and hunting down past choices for the correct combination is very frustrating and immersion breaking.

Could someone please point me in the right direction if it's possible to have visible stats for choices without game exploding from the epic anti-cheat? Need it for Season 1-2 and then for Season 3 up to newest update.

I don't understand this. Game keeps shutting down at basically same spot. I've tried just about evrything even import files, game still crashes exact same spot, depending on branch. Any ideas?

From what I read somewhere (done done it myself yet): "at the Bookshelf on the left of the first room it puts you in when the free roam starts. theres a book called unlock unlock up the top right. "
