there is some choices ( mostly during lewd scenes that need them as far as I can recall), Then it's a way to balance out your affinity if you want to peruse a certain LI but want to pick some dick choices. Like J&M and Jill you can't be a DIK when you romance them at a one point.
It gives you special interactions in some cases and basically turns the MC into a nice guy.
Chick points, are not that much useful but changes how your character speaks, Dick status MC is sometimes cringe.
