Okay but my friend made a very good point regarding this
Think ab. Game of Thrones.
I'd much rather they didn't finish it at all than just kinda freestyle the ending, throwing away ALL the character developement.
(such as making Arya lose her virginity, satisfying a highly questionable type of viewer, Dany going mad and forgetting about the iron fleet thus losing one of her dragons, even if going mad can be looked at as a sorta justified thing, making Bran the king after he turned down the Lord title, etc.).
Okay, this is less about character developement, and more about graphics, but I can still see a type of resemblance.
He's a true maximalist, strives to deliver THE BEST he can, and doesn't care how long it takes.
I think this is why DPC doesn't want to deliver 'sub-par' work (compared to what he could be making), even if that would still be considered A-tier along other AVNs.
He doesn't want something like this to happen to his game. He doesn't want to deliver under the quality that he can. He doesn't want to rush it.
