Nah, unlike ThatGuyWho I did enjoyed majority (close to half) of the sex scenes in this game. With exceptions of awkward animations, unfortunate light work (like with Sage in her dorm) and superfluos stuff like I just mentioned.

Thing is DPC can do sensible, realistic sex scenes which are somewhat meaningful. Bella in the shower is the best example of this (albeit the music did a lot of the heavy lifting there) and to some extent all the stuff with Sage. She's at least characterised as enjoying the kind of sex she engages in with the MC. It's not romantic (to begin with) but it isn't supposed to be. She shows humour and her adventurous side. She's a semi-realistic fuck buddy.


Josy in Ep5 was good for similar reasons but the Maya scene was just a wasted opportunity. The first proper time with the MC, first proper time with a guy and it's just a drunken fuck in someone elses bedroom? It was porn for porn's sake. The guy's got characters to show random gratuitous porn with (namely the 5 other girls you can fuck at that party who aren't main LI) but he could have used the first proper time with Maya as a chance to actually show their relationship as something substantial. Instead she's on par with the various hookers you rail in various other rooms. They should have had a proper date, alone, maybe a movie night or whatever to remind us she has a personality outside of "one third of a love triangle" and milestone their first time a bit more.

I hope we don't just end up randomly fucking Jill in a bathroom somewhere because whiny people want a sex scene with her and need placating. I don't mind the meaningless fucks with side chicks but when the story starts taking a hit so you can squeeze more porn in I get annoyed.

I've never seen a game like that with that sort of timeline finished. I know we have a few games that are years old and still being worked on but none of them that I can think of are even close to this high quality as far as graphics, story (granted we may not like all of it or think its flawed), programming, etc. etc.

The animations are certainly resource intensive to create, but they're also an important part of all DPC's Patreon support. They're what pay the bills, which makes them effectively cheaper than free!

I do think the game could stand on its own merits without the hardcore sex, purely on the strength its visuals, music and characters. It would still be a raunchy sex farce, just more of an R rated one. But I'm not sure there was a ready audience that would have financed it that way, at least not enough to reach critical mass and get the game started.

So the sex scenes are a vital part of the game and fortunately they've generally been high quality. I do think Episode 5 went a little overboard. The scenes themselves worked well, but the episode not only had a very high ratio of sex-to-story, it also insisted on cramming almost all the sex scenes into the span of a single (incomplete!) party.

I'm hoping we can keep the high quality, plot relevant scenes going forward without it feeling quite as artificial as in Episode 5. Personally I'd be fine with fewer total sex scenes if they all felt well integrated into an advancing story, but I may be in the minority on that.

We had music, lol I played without any sounds for like 12h. Unless we had to activate songs each time we wanted stuff to play. I didn't know whether that's limited to the music player or not so never bothered with it

And AL has Leah, Ana, and the 2 college girls in the banner but only 3 of them are pursuable as LIs and Ana is the default if the MC fucks her and the other LIs leave the MC. So Quinn could very well be that default character if the MC doesn't get with any of the main LIs but does do something(s) with her.

It had been so long I had to go back and dig into the game to remember who Ana was. I don't think I ever gave her the time of day. Only a fool goes back to a poisoned well when he's thirsty.

In a game like BaDIK with dozens of lewd scenes, variety is important. I don't see the Zoey scene negative.

If a sex scene is important, DPC will include it in the best possible quality.
If an anticipated sex scene is not included, then likely because DPC had other plans.

You're right and it's a great scene if you're into the graphic portrayal of sex but ThatGuyWho has been stating that he doesn't require sex to be shown in order for the story being told to work, and in fact, finds that showing the sex in such detail takes away from the overall impact. For some reason my mind goes back to Close My Eyes a 1991 British movie starring Clive Owen, Alan Rickman and Saskia Reeves (you may know her from the first series of Luther). In that movie, Owen and Reeves played siblings who embarked on an incestuous relationship, even after she and Rickman's character were married to each other.

I bring this movie up ONLY to point out that in the specific story depicted, graphic sex (for a mainstream movie) needed to be shown and that, were Owen and Reeves characters old school friends instead, sex could be implied rather than shown.

However in ep.5 I was a little bit disappointed with the beginning of the Riona scene where she is kneeling and her legs in the up/down movements looked really weird. And in the bath scene with Sarah and Mel I wished to have a better view of their soaked bodies (tits, pussy, ass) and more options than just a hand/blowjob.

I will be concerned if the game goes into year 2 or year 3 of the tuition. Mostly because Jill will be done after this year, Sage is getting close and for Bella having a "secret" relationship with a student for 3 years is probably not ideal
