I'm almost 100% sure Bella's husband will return and she will drop our boy like a rock (honestly wouldn't shock me if this happens sooner rather then later).

I'm actually rooting for an underdog to swoop in and win, someone like camille or heather would be best imo.

Can anyone explain to me why this game is so insanely popular on here? It looks interesting, but I'm curious for your reasons.

Everyone, I had time to make a master tier list:
tierlist-generated-at-tierlists.com.png
Some irrelevant chars are missing, but there wasnt enough space availabe for em. Got the most important characters in here, and everyone were difficult to rank from S-B. Left is highest, Right being the lowest for that tier.

Trash part was easy and it ranges from highest (from the left) to lowest trash (to the right).

Ill literally never understand why people rate Josy so high.

Paula says she's 28
Oldboobs is 30
Nora's profile says 32

Cathy's stated age is the oldest at 38

The only other thing we know about Josy's mom is that she has a new guy (who Josy also doesn't like) so it's therefore unlikely she's on swyper and that we'll ever meet her.
DPC has been namedropping Monica since episode 2 (?). He want's us to know the name for some reason, I think she will appear.
Ill literally never understand why people rate Josy so high.
I say the same bout Bella. I think it's too overblown.

I agree but i'm pretty sure Bella is more popular then Josy on these forums and i'm also pretty sure i know where they are going with the Bella arc and if i'm right there are going to be a ton of salty Bella fans. The whole Bella/Jill arcs resemble the Josy/Maya arcs to a degree and i see another big end of chapter twist happening with both Jill and Bella. I think its going to be a long time before we see our boy actually get with the endgame girl.

It's a difficult question to answer for certain.

First off, the obvious: BaDIK is a polished game. The models are very attractive, the text has been proof-read, the soundtrack is fantastic, and the game is generally bug free. The main gameplay has a lot of work put into it, with numerous cool features added over time. The mini-games have a lot of variations, and most importantly, they are optional. The MC gets lots of choices, and while there are definitely limits on what he can do, a lot of those choices will be reflected in large or small ways going forward. So as a game, it's off to a good start.

But I think the BaDIK's real strength comes from the characters and narrative. The story (thus far) is a fairly straightforward raunchy college hijinks movie, but a lot of time is spent getting to know the various characters and building up the setting. The game has a big cast, too, with 5 main Love Interests and a large number of side-characters who also get significant screen time. That means there's almost always someone who will catch your interest and keep you coming back for more.

On top of that, the game designer, DPC, is a firm believer in cranking up the drama and putting his characters through the ringer. I think he overdoes that at times, but it does mean that if you ARE invested in some (or all) of the cast, you will very much want to see what happens to them and to try to help your favorites make it through to their (hopeful!) happy ending.

Finally, the game is nowhere near complete (best estimates are about 31% of the the way through), and it drops a lot of hints about what might be coming. Since the game is at least partially planned in advance, it's possible to guess future events by paying close attention to the right clues. Much easier said than done, of course, but it provides a real incentive to play through the game multiple times in multiple ways and look for interesting patterns/anomalies.

Now, if you combine all of those qualities (high production values, characters you care about, good replayability, and meaningful speculation) you have the perfect fuel for ongoing internet discussion. Which, I think, is why this thread is so ludicrously active.

Same way I don't understand how people rate Jill so high. But y'know, different strokes, I guess?
No kidding eh. Its akin to me asking people why they have Maya on their list so high.

Its called having different opinions.

Its sad how particular individuals want everyone to like what they like.

the story involves you emotionally in an unexpected and unusual way for the genre.
there are moments in the game that I happened to rethink while doing anything else
