Being character driven and offering an endless stream of loose ends is what makes you think about it. I hate sentimental dramas in entertainment products and I'm not particulary a fan of loose ends when I feel the author is trying to trap me just for shock value, so as I've said several times, I just played BaDIK once from Ch1 to Ch5 and that was all that I needed to see. Then I actually read the game for translating purposes and basically got engaged to the thread, but not to the game itself. Discussions here also helps to keep your hype up.
I wasn't all wrapped up in the questions raised by this game until I started reading this forum, which was after a few play throughs from episodes 1-5. I simply found it thoroughly enjoyable. If you didn't enjoy it, is your intent here to convince others they don't enjoy it too? Are you frustrated that BaDIK and CoBD are rated the same when you think BaDIK is inferior? If that's the case, what do you think about "What a Legend" being ranked similarly (I played that game through and found I was just jumping through hoops to get to the next step with cliched and tired comedy - I won't be bothering with that game again).

Don't worry Derek I'll talk to Ashley for you by the way I feel like we're going to fuck Elena first than JIll
WTF is going on with Ashley's neck???

Yes, Jill is going to be dead last on the list...if at all. If you're lucky, you might get a dry, awkward jerkdown (with a fully clothed Jill) at the end of season 2.

But Elena....eww, no, just no.

The Jill and Bella being intimate seems almost guaranteed... But would DPC give another two LI lesbian backgrounds. He has already done that with Maya and Josy.
they are not lesbians. they played as a result of high emotional state and wine and possibly bi-curiosity. However I pray to the porn god that Bella + Jill is an option

They definitely did something together in the past, that whole debate when they're in bed, "it won't happen again", "it wouldn't have been an issue if I was on the couch" (all paraphrased) definitely some carpet cleansing been going on.

if it were true Bella would already have been an adulteress, well before MC and therefore the flow of thoughts of the sixth chapter would not make sense

then I know that a little bit of bisexuality always comes in handy, but does Jill letting herself go so much do you think she is in the character?

I am willing to bet my left nut that it was viewed as playing and not adultery by the two of them, as they are emotionally driven to males, and playing between girls for such folks is not considered cucking/NTR/adultery. If an emotional love as in relationship were involved, then it would be a line they crossed. Bella, processed it differently than Jill, as she knows Jill likes the MC, and Jill is clueless of Bella and MC involvement, hence the stress and tossing out of bed.

No, I'm just saying why I don't enjoy it and why I think people actually enjoy it - because, unlike me, they do like dramas and soap operas, obviously. Which is not bad, just not my thing. About What a Legend, in my opinion that game is a masterpiece on its own genre and while I'm a bit surprised of its high rating, I don't think is too far from what it deserves. But obviously the 3 games we're talking about have quite different aimings and they're are equally good at delivering what their fans look for in them

The most logical thing I can think of is that James cheated on Bella, Bella found out and he left. After that Jill tried to comfort Bella. Since they both are horny as fuck it started getting hot but Bella freaked out before they did anything

if the reason was an emotional comfort I find it difficult for Bella and Jill to "play", even the excuse of having drunk usually doesn't work.

and a Jill who lets herself go like this, with a woman, is always hard to believe when with a man we know how blocked and thoughtful she is

But in the end he's right. There are tons of characters out there who lie, who never come clean across the MC, yet people still love them because "she's a badass but I'll show her what a real man is". Here we have that kind of character and, in the very last moment, when we were thinking she'll be ours, she drops the Josy bomb and prefers to stay with her instead of coming to us. And of course the way our MC reacts to the news, storming out of a potential threesome (that's how your regular lewd game would have handled that situation) add to that bitter feeling. Then people take all those feelings and try to give a rational reason for their anger, and Maya is the common escape as she's the one who had the most screen time and therefore the most chances to make mistakes
I do think this is the heart of the issue. Maya's lies of omission and the fact that both girls give the MC serious competition are problems, but all of that would probably have been manageable if the story didn't hype the crisis to the Nth degree by having the MC storm off then spend the rest of the episode whining about it. Rather than try to help the player see it from the girls' perspective, we are encouraged to embrace the outrage for the sake of the drama.

Even worse, despite all this buildup the issue is just dropped by the end of the episode. The focus of the library scene isn't on what the girls did to the MC, or even what he did to them. It's all on what they did to each other; patching up with the MC is quite literally an after thought. Even that can be made worse by the fact the game will sometimes choose NOT to do so - and never explain why! Suck it, player!

All that built-up narrative tension had to go somewhere, and with no proper channel it just exploded. It's no wonder Maya got burned in the resulting firestorm. Josy too, but Maya was the far more prominent character in the story, so it's natural she takes the brunt of it. Which is a pity because I find both characters likable and believably flawed.

Yea
Prevailing thought for me has been (although doubting it lately):

Yeah I agree with your view point, it's kind of what I thought as well.

It's just disappointing that DPC seems to be taking these two down a similar path as Maya and Josy.

MC getting close to two girls who have history with each other.

It's kinda like, we've waited all this time to find out what is going on with these characters histories and then it's like oh yeah it's pretty much the same thing that happened with Josy and Maya.

Or they did but Bella regreted later.
