why did you quote him though?
I am a newbie to the this game(been a lurker on the forum for years) and I never would have though I would be discussing in deep length about a visual novel game, thats how good I feel this game is, it made me cheer it made me boo it made me even choke up during some scenes (MC's moms diary readings) and yeah I can see some things that are worth criticizing but I also feel that because the game isn't done yet we dont have the full picture of why these characters are doing the thing they do, on that note I see a lot of users in the thread bringing up AL, I tried to play the game about a year or maybe year and a half a go and just couldn't get into like the first hour or 2 of the story and after seeing how it turns out I probably wont play it, but I also have faith even being new to this game that no matter what happens we will get a good story out of it.All this talk of DPC being a bad writer when all I know is that I've literally laughed out loud at BaDik more times than I could ever hope to remember. Compare that to anything produced in mainstream movies or TV, where I'm lucky to even get an audible chuckle anymore, and I would say DPC has done a great job given that he's a solo dev. The last time I really laughed as hard as I do when playing this game compared to anything on TV was probably sometime in the mid 2000s, when TV comedy was so much better. I guess everything truly is relative.
On a side note, I really think DPC would have trouble finding a good writer to fill his shoes. Given how politically incorrect this game is I doubt he'd have that many SKILLED writers lining up for the job. They probably wouldn't want this game on their resume. Could you imagine a modern day writer trying to fix this game for being too problematic? The 5 LIs would be transitioning to males before the season is finished.
That's probably because she's the only main girl who's single. But the only truly healthy relationship that the MC could have at this point is with Jill.
lol yeah I'm diversifying my taste in games.Welcome to BaDIK ginger...see you dragged yourself away for AWAM for 5 mins hehe.
Nothing wrong with not seeing the craze for Isabella....can't stand her myself and well...it's just another ridiculous unbelievable drama plot in the perfection that is DPC. You'll be castigated for it...believe me...but meh...whatever.
shes a favorite now for me since the " I need to stay somewhere can I stay here scenes " up until that point she was an immovable force cold and distant, I think the appeal.. atleast for me is seeing her warm up and become more happy, less guarded with her issues as they are she needs closure and who knows the MC will probably help her with that unless it back fires and makes her withdrawl worse than before.Nothing wrong with not seeing the craze for Isabella....can't stand her myself and well...it's just another ridiculous unbelievable drama plot in the perfection that is DPC. Dont know if Im the only one wondering but Im curious if Bellas Husband is going to come back during the worst possible moment that he could come back like at the time when were about to have penetration sex with Bella for the first time due to Pink Cakes ways of cliff hangers to make people talk about the next update.
Im also curious if Aerith isnt as dumb as she seems like in the game.
Time will tell I guess.

it's not strange, in this game the main characters are so caught up in their dramas, sometimes just suspicious or imaginary, that it's really easy to prefer secondary charactersI really want to participate in this thread, but I feel like I'm coming into a movie at the halfway point. But I guess at some point you just need to make the jump.
I don't feel like I'm qualified enough to speak about any of the game's shortcomings, and there are some very strong opinions in here. The only thing I will say is that I don't get the love for Isabella. In my head-cannon, I can't figure out why the MC and her would work. I don't find her standoffishness endearing, in fact I find it off putting. Clearly she has a kindness to her that the MC would appreciate, but she's so serious that I don't think the MC would find her enjoyable (outside of sex). I'm still pursuing her even though I know I should stop, but that's only because the scenes with her are easy to access. If things would open up with Jill and/or I was forced to choose between Jill and Isabella it wouldn't be a choice- I'm taking Jill every day.
But really, the characters I find the most interesting are Jade, Cathy, and Nicole. I like the storylines around them and I think they mesh well with the MC. Cathy needs more development, but Jade and Nicole have shown a good depth of character considering their relatively little screen time.
But the only truly healthy relationship that the MC could have at this point is with Jill.
Yeah she is my favorite too i mean she is literally my type +10 age gap hot, kind, serious, big tits, big assshes a favorite now for me since the " I need to stay somewhere can I stay here scenes " up until that point she was an immovable force cold and distant, I think the appeal.. atleast for me is seeing her warm up and become more happy, less guarded with her issues as they are she needs closure and who knows the MC will probably help her with that unless it back fires and makes her withdrawl worse than before.
I like Jade because she takes what she wants, there's an honesty there that cuts through all of the drama. That's my biggest complaint about Maya and Josy, they don't know what they want. That isn't a deal breaker, lot of people (especially kids) don't know what they want. But the did choose each other over the MC, so that's at least something. But because of that, I don't want my MC getting too entangled with them because they're going to be the source of a lot of drama.it's not strange, in this game the main characters are so caught up in their dramas, sometimes just suspicious or imaginary, that it's really easy to prefer secondary characters
Jade is a bit too caricatured, but on Nichole and Cathy I fully support you.
on LIs, I can't tell you, I have changed my mind in a radical way already a couple of times.
right now the only one I care about is Sage, who in her sentimental drama, even a little too long, has remained consistent, it is also the LI who has shown more aspects of herself, starting as a party girl extreme and adding layers from time to time.
Maya was given a lot of space in the sixth chapter, and I must say that she used it quite well. let's see how he will cope with his personal storm coming
of Jill, without repeating myself too much, I didn't like at all how the blackmail was presented, but it could be an opportunity for her to develop her character too
Josy and Bella for now are really marginal in the story, Josy doesn't have a goal, a motivation to do or not do something .. and Bella is practically from the third chapter repeating the same cycle, she knows MC better, sex, repentance ...
At that age you do not know what you want, that is true and I have always said it in this forum and I have been branded as ignorant for saying that a person of 18 years is not an adult mentally and less in love and with so little experience .I like Jade because she takes what she wants, there's an honesty there that cuts through all of the drama. That's my biggest complaint about Maya and Josy, they don't know what they want. That isn't a deal breaker, lot of people (especially kids) don't know what they want. Sage is a good character, but as much as Chad is a dick I didn't want to start fooling around with her while they were still dating. It was made worse that she was motivated by the fact that he was cheating on her. It felt like the best move was to sincerely just be her friend.
I look at Jill and I see a girl who is too young and inexperienced to know when and how to tell Tybalt to go to hell. She clearly doesn't like him, but she's been conditioned to just put up with him. I think she's overreacting to the blackmail, but I do think it will be the thing that breaks her out of her shackles.
I agree that Josy feels like a blank slate. I don't feel like she's added much since coming to the school outside of the big decision in Season 1. She strikes me as the generic love interest that is meant to have wide popular appeal, but looking at how she and Maya do in the DPC's polls, that hasn't worked out.
And, yeah, Bella. Like I said, I just don't get it. Her coming over to the MC's frat house felt way out of character for her.
