I think it's human nature to be defensive when someone disses something we like. Not sure why it is, but it's definitely a common trait (this thread is a living testament).

But my point was you can criticise the game; the characters, the writing, whatever, but when people start having a go at DPC (and I mean getting personal, I have no issue with people saying they don't like what he's done), that's what gets to me.

At the same time, this is a discussion board, and I do enjoy debating people's opinions on the many facets of the game.

Ah yes, going into personal offenses, threats, that is totally stupid and I agree with you 100%. I still haven't found a better VN game dev and writer than DPC, sometimes it is hard to believe that he does all of it by himself.

It's no coincidence that we spend 6 months discussing theories about what happened and could still happen in the game, thrilled and excited for the next release.

Interlude is probably a standalone game

Hmmm...heavily focused on Zoe and her surfing skills.

I'm not sure about it being completely standalone, I got the impression there will be a few choices (unlike the prologues of the previous episodes), so there could be some long lasting repercussions of those choices.

My biggest concern is, if there are choices, then we're actually playing as a character in the interlude, and I guess that character would be Zoey.

For whatever reason, I just don't dig playing a female...

Given it's an export of specific variables that DPC wants to transfer between the games, he'd have to know the mod's variables at the time that he completed the export in episode 8. The mod wasn't completed at that time, so there's no way of him knowing it.

He could parse all the variables and verify that things are legit (i.e. LI points are legitimate and not set to 100 or something like that), but it's far too vague and too much trouble.

Nah, I reckon it'll be a clean start with no dramas. But the following 4 episodes will all be part of the same file set, so the mod issue will once again raise it's ugly ass.

I like to bash characters and i like when others do, but when someone get offended I dont get mad and start to fight back for 2 weaks/2 years... I insulted his crush so i apologize and tell him I dont really have anything against his crush. The argument is over in 2 comments.

For sure this current Maya spat seems to have lasted for days, and it's mostly the same people saying the same things that have been said for months, even years.

There's only so much source material, so it's not like someone is really going to change their mind if they've been debating that long.

While it may be trolling or just hating, if you get caught up in it and let it drag it on, who wins? I like Sandy's character, and I'm vastly in the minority here. So whenever someone disparages Sandy, I just post a sad face and move on. I don't see the need to point out that they must be very insecure men and feel intimidated by her.

There are so many girls to choose from in this game, and luckily none of them are perfect, so there's plenty to love and hate about them all.

Dude, you are most certainly projecting!

On the note of my favourite LI, after 8 episodes, I still don't know who it is!

• I totally had a thing for Nicole, but then last episode when the choice was Nicole or Lily, I fucking chose Lily!
• I've enjoyed Jill all along and episode 8 she definitely went up a notch, but I preferred Sage in the past, but she slipped during the last episode.
• Then there's Josy, the wonderful pocket-sized girl next door, she's definitely shooting for the number 1 spot.
• Maya has waned for quite a few episodes in my view, but I think she could have a comeback soon.
• Bella was never my thing.

So yeah, maybe I should just cut my losses and uncomplicate things by hanging my hat up in the VIP area...

I don't think this is going to happen... why would you ( DPC makes you ) slip into another MC even if it's just for a very limited time I think the so called " choices " here are only there for special render unlocks... and nothing to do with the main story flow... same for the mini game(s)

Only because Camila becomes giggly/nervous sometimes when she wants to get with MC. But yes, not that intense as a true Hajidere. It was kind of cute when she was nervous laughing before having sex with MC at the party.
