Quick question, i've played this game before and used a cheat to just see the gallery.

But now i want to play it proper from the beginning. so, do i have to clear out the previous save file or can i just play a new save?

I dont want to risk a problem down the line because of it!

Just do this steps (that don't vary much even if you have different versions from the one described) below and you'll be fine ↓

| Problem #6 |: I want to reset all progress and start from the beginning; how do I do it?

Solution:

1. Close the game.

2. Right-click the game in your Steam library and select "Properties".

3. Uncheck the box "Keep games saves in the Steam Cloud for Being a Dik"

4. While still being in "Properties", click "Local files" and choose "Browse" to open the installation directory.

5. The save folder is found here "steamapps\common\Being a Dik\game\saves". To delete the collectibles, delete the file called "persistent". If you want to delete every save, delete the
entire directory.

6. Open "C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming\RenPy". If you can't find AppData, make sure to "View>Hidden objects" in the file browser.

7. Delete the save files from the "C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\BeingADIK-XXXX" folder.

8. Start the game, and your progress is reset.

I just completed S2 and dame it was best VN I have ever read... loved it.

Only question I have, how long usually each chapter takes to make?

4 months or a little bit more usually for an entire episode to be concluded (I'm not talking about the interlude)

Plus possibly for GOG and Steam (so other than Patreon) another 2 months of polish if I remember correctly (free to correct me if needed)

DPC hasn't said anything about the Interlude beyond it being fun for the whole playerbase... much to my annoyance. But the first Zoey preview was before she got her tattoos, so it's likely at least a little of it will be before she leaves. That could include a roll in the hay or two with the young MC.

I don't see how it could take place at current B&R, though. Even if we skip ahead past the meeting with the Burkes, how far can we go into that flashforward before snapping back to the "present" becomes impractical? I don't think it's far enough to be worth it unless there's much more to do than catch up with Zoey. But I very much doubt this would include a lewd scene no matter what happens; it would either make the crossroads a laughingstock or require far too much branching to fit into Interlude frame.

Of course it's possible Zoey could have a lewd scene with the new boyfriend in San Diego. Yes, it's a tinderbox of you-know-what waiting to detonate, but if we're in control of Zoey at the time it might not be quite as bad as normal. I doubt DPC would do it, but it would at least be something unexpected.

This whole thing I think is blown way out of proportion. Maya will explain her situation (which, as has been debated around here makes no sense at all and is practically impossible to happen) to the Burke's to which Burke will say something of the lines of "But that's not how loans work.", to which Maya will be like:

I'm honestly expecting a Jade scene for those who selected the Others option. It's way too good for us to pass that up.

In any case, the timing is less important to me than the more basic questions about why we're getting the Interlude in the first place. I'm still waiting for DPC to explain to me why I should give a rat's ass about this particular side project. I don't care how many pictures of Zoey he posts, she's an unknown right now. I'm not going to get excited simply at the opportunity to get excited in a couple months.

There's got to be something he could tell us about the Interlude that would be legitimately interesting. I wish he would. My enthusiasm is low and I would like something to look forward to while I wait. Is that so much to ask for?

Well said. Absolutely agree. Hey it is his show, and I am truly thankful for his work. I just am already too invested in the existing characters we have interacted with. "Interlude" should be called "Cockblock Distraction".

Yes, get her at the Ep7 party. Toward the end of the episode she will text you asking for help where she thinks someone is following her.

EP8 is interesting on the Rio path as if you help her with the stalker problem at the dorm party her attitude does appear to change toward you (it is nice in a way and a victory for Rio fans).

Also at the end of Ep8 if everything else happens, she rearranges the furniture in your room as a bit of a tease (like a little kid would do when they like someone).... it is sweet in a way but what I think is also important is Heather says, "Be nice to her".
To me, that is pretty big. Rio has either already told Heather about MC or Heather has really good intuition that Rio likes MC.

Make my "Interlude" a full up Rio/MC episode With good writing, Rio could be girlfriend material.

I really wonder if the new DPC plan is now doing an Interlude/Side-Story + a Full Episode each year.
Doubt we will get back to two Episode per years.. Could we have a Quinn, Riona,... origin story next?

• Using the last two raw ratio value and dev time, DPC might be around 1331 renders and 93 animations.
• DPC wants to make a 40-60 min piece. He estimate being 60-70% done with renders.
• Could be the size of EP2, betting around 1800 renders and 120 animations. Doubt it will be 40-60 min.

I guess the sex content will be a Lesbian romance, maybe some Solo, praying for not having some NTR or POV banging dudes, shoot, could that be an opportunity to introduce a Trans character maybe, City of Broken Dreamers is well made.

Damn, I'm finding it harder every day to not do a Riona run. I know she doesn't have a lot of content really compared to the others, but damn I love Japanese girls.

My only issue with that is that can I go cold-hearted on Jill and try to be neutral with her, or even DIKish. Not helping her with the recital, the picnic date, you can't avoid all that if you're even an asshole, right?

You can't avoid the recital, but you can make her fail it. The picnic is avoidable by being friends enough with Sage where she calls you when she's sick.

I don't understand him. He always complains that the long development process increases his stress. And instead of making the episodes shorter, but richer, he makes a side story the size of the first episode. While from the outside it looks like he's tired of the game, he wants to take a break by focusing on the side story about Zoey.

P.S. If he really decides on a mini-episode+ episode strategy, he will never finish the game. It's impossible.
He needs at least 8 years to close all this.

That's why I'm waiting for his questions and answers and I'm afraid that he has changed his mind about the number of episodes in the direction of increasing them.
