I didn't write that she's a badly written character, and I didn't write that the Interlude is a badly written episode.

I wrote that the Interlude is a totally unnecessary filler. And I wrote why so many people don't like her character and, most of all, why they dislike her as a Love Interest.

Man, he took more than 3 years for telling us the first 8 chapters. Did we really need such a long flashback? we're waiting for that damn Halloween Party for a year at least.
Maybe it was unecessary for you. I really thought it was necessary for me who didnt have a main LI so far and I always wondered about Zoey when MC told her story to Bella. I always wondered if she would come back and it was amazing when I played the interlude and end up loving the character. She has history with MC and she has everything to become my main LI. She is part of the story since chapter 2. For me she is extremely important and I want to see how things will play out with other characters. Specially the ones I am kind of getting involved such as Quinn or Sage and I wanna see how Josy will react to it.
I am pretty sure the people who dislike her are not that many, just the annoying ones who have no life and reply to this thread everyday.
He took 3 years to give us a VN that no one has ever seen around. It is not only a story teller game, but it is as well a game. With RPG content in it, minigames, a VN where your choices actually matters and influence the outcome of the story. He has to think and write every detail, Create many fun minigames that are related to the story, make us feel like we are immersing in the life of the character. And has amazing and high quality images, characters has their own personality, animations are top tier, this is all he has been doing over the 3 years and he is THE ONE dev we know that will deliver the whole content. Not like others that will stop at some point or "rework" their game and you will never see the end of it. Just add the fact that he is doing it all by himself. The guy has to be the writer, the coder, the artist, editor, manage his own business, buy licensed songs that will add to the story.
Despite the fact that every character is different from another, they are genuine and unique, not like other games every character in the town looks like twin siblings.

Have you ever wondered why every damn music record needs a producer and why every damn novelist has an editor?

I don't know I kinda liked Zoey. I think that she'll add a new dynamic to the story. But I don't think that she will be with the MC as a LI. I think the perfect partner for her would be Derreck they both like to party and have fun so I think that they should hook up.
She has pierced nipples ofc she is a LI, not my after her in my firsts runs thou

I really appreciate Rusty's character development and I was pleasantly surprised how he continues to grow as a man and as a leader with each episode, makes me proud of him.

admit it, you bang lily on your every playthrough

so I have most paths, supposedly you can get a jill and bella path how do you get this?
both need to like you to get in either's panties. but if you pick jill, you have a conversation where you gently put bella down and if you pick bella, jill catches you banging bella and runs off shocked. so... you can't have them both

Well, working alone is Dr PinkCake's decision and today he has the financial resources to recruit a team.

Maybe he doesn't feel the need or isn't able to supervise other devs, but I'm confident that sharing the workload could be beneficial. Projects managed by one person are the first ones to be abandoned on Patreon. Sharing insights during development enriches a game, whereas a single developer may become limited by his own views. While I admit that Dr PinkCake has many skills and has improved since the first episodes of Being a DIK, some points such as writing and staging could be first-handed to specialists; since the creator keeps the final cut priviledge, the execution is the same.

As impressed as I am by Dr PinkCake's performance, I also assume that the way this game is made can be changed for the better. But teamwork is a challenge that many people don't dare to take.

does not seem to me the best of defenses....

:p:ROFLMAO:
The game does not need defence from moronic statements. :ROFLMAO: Life itself is an unnecessary filler before the endgame which death . That's the endgame. Whats matter, is how your "filler" is enjoyable. And Interlude was genuinely enjoyable. same as DnG. The only filler that was not enjoyable is Madame:ROFLMAO:.
considering that the game has 8 episode, having one unenjoyable event, that is Madame is pretty good ratio overall.(y):ROFLMAO:

But that's a matter of taste, even Madame has her fans....

for me there are several moments to be skipped mercilessly, among other things, if I remember correctly, shazba himself had concluded that he would have skipped most likely the interlude in the following runs

Madame has at least the enormous advantage that it can be avoided entirely, at least until now, so technically it's more of a "bonus":oops::oops::oops::oops: content than a filler... thanks DPC, a thought would have been enough...

You can't enroll in a University after the academic year has started. And you MUST submit a few months before the academic year starts.

Show me those lines: I guess I totally missed them. As far as I can remember she only got her high school degree.
Let's see if I can help clear this up...

I went to university/college in the US (undergrad in the 90s and grad school in the 2010s). During grad school I was also an adjunct professor hired to teach one course, as my professional experience made me better qualified than anyone else on staff, or so they told me. From those experiences and the experiences of many friends who went to college in the US, I can verify that some schools are very difficult to get into (either they have strict academic standards or they limit their numbers for other reasons, such as wanting to maintain a small teacher-to-student ratio) while others are exceedingly easy to get into (schools with "open admissions" policies require only that students have completed high school or the equivalent). And, of course, there are many schools with admission policies somewhere in between these extremes.

Some universities are still on a quarterly system (fall, winter, spring, and summer), but to help cut administrative costs, most schools are now on a semester system (fall, spring, and summer). B&R appears to be on a semester system. Typically, most students begin their college careers in the fall (late August or September), as they graduated high school the previous spring/summer (May or June). Students can also begin in the spring or even the summer, but this is atypical.

Students who show up a bit late or for whatever reason are unavailable on day one (like Josy and Lily) can generally enroll for classes up to two or three weeks after the semester starts. A student would not be allowed to start classes much later than that, for several obvious reasons. We know that in episode 8, MC et al are taking midterm exams, so that means that approximately 7 or 8 weeks have passed (typical US university semester is 15 weeks). This would be too late for any new students to enroll. They would have to wait until the next semester, which at B&R for our purposes would be the spring semester.

The fall semester will end in mid December or so, then students will be off for the year-end holidays (many campuses even close the dorms, requiring students to leave campus). The spring semester then kicks off in early to mid January.

Schools do offer courses during a condensed summer semester, which usually runs June to August, but most US students do not take summer courses. US universities schedule courses in a way that most students will not need summer courses to complete their studies. Instead, most students spend their summers working jobs, doing internships, or (if they're wealthy and priveleged enough) traveling and otherwise relaxing.

DPC may have the resources, but he definitely doesn't have the inclination to recruit a team.

He's managed to do something that many people would kill for. He's turned his hobby into full time employment. Why would you start to outsource your hobby? Where's the fun in that?

It's like playing this game. I've played the shit out of it, but I could have advanced faster through the game if I got other people to play different paths in parallel and then just pass me their save games at the end. Now why the fuck would I want to do that, it defeats the purpose of playing the game in the first place (on that note, why the fuck are there so many people on this board asking for others' save games!?)

So if creating this game is something DPC enjoys, why would he hand portions over to other people to do instead of himself? It doesn't make any sense to me, and it doesn't make any sense to him.

The only issue is people are just hung up on having to wait so long between episodes. But the wait is more than justified if you compare quality and quantity over the time it takes to develop. I don't think any other game here can hold a candle up against those statistics.

Comparing DPC to these other one-man-bands is probably highly inaccurate. He is very regimented and diligent in his development work. He provides a decent level of transparency, and he has a proven track record. Plus the hours he puts into the development is far from normal. He's obsessed with creating this game. He's not your typical fly-by-nighter churning out a piece of shit hoping to garner a few Patreon subscribers.

DPC has made a fantastic game in BaDIK. The level of enjoyment I personally get from playing it and replaying it phenomenal. I wouldn't want to do anything that may jeopardise his drive to create the future episodes, so I sure as fuck would not advocate for him to bring more people into the mix.

Because talentless people found a way, to make money out from talented peoples, by offering them convenience features.
Everybody needs to share ideas and listen to people's opinions. Secondly, books - as games need betatesting - need proofreading and editing.

Just to let you know,

I think that BaDIK is the best game in the whole F95 forum and that the Interlude is quite a nice story. Anyway, I feel that I would have rather seen it as a spin-off or a special story released after the end of BaDIK.
