If I had a coin for every time a self-righteous paper man cried a river about the fact his snowflake heart gets triggered by a vilanous fictional character in a porn game, I'd be able to swim in gold sea like Scrooge McDuck. :censored:

I hope those pure souls will never find out that Freddy Krueger, Dark Vador, Thanos or the Joker are beloved and popular characters to the point fans are actually rooting for them. I'm not sure they really want to live in a world filled with such nefarious people. Even worse, they could realise that drugs & prostitution are totally legal activities in several countries. Not to mention the inherent subjective nature of morality.

But I'm afraid that the final blow would be the realization that a villainous character having a thing with the protagonist is one of the oldest tropes in history of fiction. And some of them are actually way worse than a pimp & drug dealer. Clearly, the key foundations on which our society is built is about to crumble but I want you to remember it all started with US : The Quinn's fans. Here on this pirate website filled with games where rapes & incest are nothing but a fetish.

I mean, how can I live with myself ? I guess making memes on a daily basis is the only thing keeping me from becoming the next Ted Bundy.
I was momentarily tempted to say that this is the single most pathetic post I've ever read on here, but then I remembered that I've already read pretty much everything you've written here several times before. It's basically the standard boiler plate reaction for Quinn's fans who can't stand it when someone dares to say anything negative about their precious waifu. They angrily lash out with bunch of ad hominem attacks and straw-man arguments, usually about how people who don't like Quinn just can't handle anything that isn't pure sunshine and rainbows because they are not only too soft to enjoy a villain, but also too stupid to understand why anyone else would like one either. And like the others before you, you're wrong on both counts.

You like bad girls? Fine, I get it. There's games where I've sided them. But this ain't one of them. Quinn sucks.

Quinn isn't hated for being a villain. She's hated for being a terribly written villain. A good villain is intimidating and powerful, so that the protagonist has an actual challenge to overcome. Nobody wants to see Rocky easily beat a bunch of cans, they want to see him struggle against men like Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago. They want to see Jean-Claude fight Bolo Yeung, not some asthmatic kid with scoliosis. And they want it to be a long hard fight where the protagonist has to endure setbacks and hardships. And it doesn't have to be a physical fight either. It's just as much fun to see a prolonged game of cat and mouse unfold between two opponents trying to out wit one another, like Edmund and Fernand in the Count of Monte Cristo. But we don't have that here.

Quinn is embarrassingly incompetent. She makes one unforced error after another, and it's made all the worse by how easy she's had it. She was lucky enough to start with Sage's trust, Riona's advice, and help from Camilla, Mona, and Tommy. Quinn gets caught lying to Sage twice, ignores Riona's advice, hits and insults Riona, betrays Tommy and Camilla, and puts Mona in over her head. And she doesn't even turn a profit on it since she isn't selling what the preps were buying and also got jumped like a punk. Sage is now becoming friends with Maya, who Quinn had been obsessively tormenting, while Riona is now becoming close friends with Camilla (which could lead to both of them ditching Quinn). She burned her bridge with Tommy, and lost Mona. And what role has the main character played in all of this? None.

The single biggest failing of this game (as far as the writing goes) has been the fact that you can't treat Quinn like the villain she is. The game simply won't give you any choice in the matter. You want to warn Maya that Quinn is having the HOTs turn tricks? Tough shit, you aren't allowed. You want to threaten Quinn to try to get her to ease up on Maya? No way, not a possibility. You want to ask Sage if she is knows about the restaurant business? Nope, you can't do that either. You can't do anything at all. This makes the main character look like a total imbecile, especially when he's romantically involved with Maya, Sage, or even Josy.

The only thing that the main character needed to do was to try. It didn't matter if he failed, as long as he failed in a way that made sense. If he told Maya what Quinn had told him about the restaurant, and Maya thought that Quinn was bullshitting him, or that the two were unrelated, she could've continued to try for the rumoured scholarship. It would've made Maya look a bit worse, but we can excuse that with her being desperate. If we had told Sage what Quinn told us, then Quinn could counter by telling Sage that we were just making this up to get back at her for pushing us out in the streets naked. This would put Sage in a bind, because she can't really turn on a HOT just on the word of a newcomer, can she? So the main plot doesn't change course, it just has Quinn and the MC look at least slightly competent.

Quinn's ineptitude prevents her from being a badass. She's just an ass. A two bit bully that targets only those who can't fight back. A coward. There is nothing impressive about her.

To be fair, this is the one thing i actually like about Quinn. Like you note, good villains tend to be competent (though saddled with obligatory incompetent henchmen) but Quinn is refreshingly, and almost realistically, somewhat --but not entirely-- well, dumb. She is just a normal YA trying to punch above her weight and failing, rather than full mustache twirling villain. It makes Riona getting second thoughts about Quinn's leadership believable, and seeing Lily run circles around her pretty fun :v

That's some mighty big talk for a person with Quinn in their avatar.

Jade just got dumped by text out of the blue, so it's only natural for her to be angry. But the only threat she makes there is that she would take him down with her if he talks about her affair. It's not like she knees him in the balls because he turned her down, or anything crazy like that.

If you are going to criticize Jade's anger, and catagorize her actions as troubling, it should be for the scene where she hurls framed pictures of her children at her husbands head when she is yelling at him for cheating on her again. But as troubling as that is, it's still nowhere near the absurd level of crazy that would be required for someone to do something like sneak up on a person and tazer them in the throat until they pass out for no reason other than they thought it would be funny.

Does anyone know how to enable the console and reverse the part of taking a snap shot of my dick on Tybalt's phone?

I'm in Episode 7 and at some presentation where Tybalt shows that snap shot and ruins my chance w/ Jill when Sage and Josy recognize the penis in shot.

Thanks in advance

it doesn't necessarily ruin it
I've had a succesful jill run where fuckface explains it wasn't his intention to end up in the presentation after he's deflowered the sweet jillybean

and by "sweet jillybean" I mean the goblin princess

I tried continuing the game and it jumps to Episode 8 skipping the Jill scene at end of Ep7.

Hello All,

I'll apologize as I feel like in 10k+ pages this might have been posted previously, though I looked and couldn't find anything along the same lines. I'm getting an error when attempting to view any of the reward render's - either through the phone in game, or the gallery from the main menu - resulting in the following error:

Sub "rewards_mixed.rpy" for your choice of girls' name. This only happens once I have something unlocked for the given girl. If they are at 0, it loads completely fine.

Likely unrelated, but the "Scenes" work perfectly fine, it's only the Rewards gallery.

So far I have tried completely removing the game (to include deleting the appropriate folder in %AppData%\Roaming\RenPy), re-downloading a fresh copy. My progress was NOT reset, and the error remains.
Anyone have any words of wisdom?

Thanks!
The magic of keeping progress is the persistent File, if you keep any version of it, it will not reset. Normally you will find it in game/saves in the directory you installed the game and, as you wrote, in %AppData%\Roaming\RenPy. If both persistent files are deleted, the progress should be reset.

As i see, the error is with 0.8.1. Did you have the Interlude installed? It' persistent file is not compatible with the one from previous versions (tried once to copy it back to 0.8.2 but gave me an error).

Look man , You have written so much against quinn so she already have proven her important and imapct on character and story.

I will tell you this much Once you understand you just liking other side and you don't have to hate different side to prove your love to the LI you admire.

THEN AND ONLY THEN YOU WILL UNDERSTAND IMPORTANT OF + AND - .

FURTHER MORE " If I tell you that I hate Maya and Jill " Yet they are really important and have really great Impact on strory and character doesn't matter if I dont like them or not.

But it's okk i suppose, most mostly swims on surface. Peace out.

Oh, if only there was a way to see Tybalt's face when you had fucked Sage, Jade, AND Jill!!!! That would be the best revenge!!!!
I wonder if you will get some special scenes or achievement if you went all out on Tybalt:
Banged Sage, Jade, and Jill in the same run.
Ruined his presentation with a dick pick, punched him, and knocked out his teeth during the tennis match.
+Mocked him at every available dialogue, including the Rooster posts.

- I'm not really sure if he'll give a crap about Sage tbh. They seem radically different, and not necessarily on the best of terms given Sage's reaction at the presentation, her willingness to fuck on his bed, and general aversion towards high end societal behavior/ hobbies.

I really doubt she's going to get one, given it's something that'd play out only for a small amount of players who went full broccoli, and thus creates a headache down the road of having to juggle storylines for "normal Quinn" who can serve her role as convenient antagonist/scapegoat, and "nice Quinn" who can't and would require some sort of replacement, or some serious differences in content branches?

Well, either that or she'll just get redemption arc no matter what, but that'd be pretty silly deus ex machina.
For me, unfortunately, I suspect a Quinn redemption arc will be as a witness for the prosecution and her and MC live a happy life someplace no one has ever heard of in the witness protection program. :ROFLMAO:

Can't disagree, just a shitty move... but like you said with Sage giving the MC a 2nd chance to her path in Ep7 (really didn't expect that on my first Chick run where I ended it quickly, didn't think she'd fit), maybe she'll be the one asking for a 2nd chance later in the game.

In fact, if Sage got a 2nd chance going, I suppose all the MG could, Josy and Maya as 2nd chances in solo paths, Bella too, could see her getting flustered if MC gets something going with Nora or already has something with Jade, or if MC rejected her in Ep8 (she was visibly in pain)...
On that phone call, Bella played the, oh so mature decision card, but for her, it hurt.

For Tybalt, everything is about the image, the prestige, the name, I don't think he's a bad guy, I mean, his blackmail attempt was a shitty move but if Jill investigated a bit instead of believing him it would have been harmless... he's just a brainwashed idiot who thinks he's figured it all and that he's above everything.

He would be flabbergasted if he went to know Jade bangs the MC, but Jade would probably tell him to fuck off, heartbroken in a weird way if MC ends up with Jill because, a bit like her, he lives in a bubble and Jill is everything he wants, image, prestige, and the name... while I think he may end up giving crap to Sage because she's 'ruining' their name and prestige by being with a lower-class peasant, but Sage wouldn't give a fuck.

Honestly, can't wait to see how many variations of this family reunion there will be, especially if Tybalt is there.

I hate the concert and after 5 times in a row watching it when you have several saves for different routes the worst thing is that at least giving skip did not matter because I think another part was coming

It's like the tennis match with Isabella in EP 7 and after playing it several times it becomes annoying
Later episode down the road, Zoey has a tennis match scene: A.C.: "That was fucking awesome!!!!!!"
