I don't use mods myself, don't see the need for me, and whenever I replay, I don't even use the skip button, but I'm a bit crazy about playing the game for the game. Still, I think for mod users, when Episode 9 gets out, maybe it'd be wise to wait for modders to do their job before opening the game, otherwise saves may be fucked. Only a supposition, of course.

I'd probably use Sanchos tool to un-mod the game then use that un-modded save to play the newest episode. Probably redo the latest episode using his mod to fix any dumb decisions you might make

Taking the restaurant is probably going to cause trouble in main girl runs when the shit hits the fan. Regardless of that it's pretty easy to keep a neutral affinity by not fighting, it may go against what you would do in the circumstances but doesn't lose you any scenes. That's 5 chick choices off the bat, you can also refuse Derek's revenge and not cheat at the midterms. That would then be 8 dik choices and 7 chick choices so virtually completely neutral.

Fighting is fun though. I didn't che- I mean play my way through the brawler minigames to wimp out on a fight. Also throwing urine on the tri beta and Derek is hilarious.

What Quinn offers in the 1st Episode, how you gain access to the gloryholes and prostitution.

I know I love fighting in the game too, kicking the ass of Caleb and Tommy being the most rewarding (Chad, while he acts like a jerk, I think will turn around in the future and even help us at some point), and yeah, that rooftop scene, throwing piss behind Derek's head, all those were memorable in my DIK and Neutral runs. For the Neutral run, you really just have to even major choices, but forget about Jill (understandably) and Quinn (also understandably), and if you want to try the throuple with Maya/Josy, you have to be at least Neutral Chick before the choice (because of Maya, Josy alone really is neutral), otherwise you're fucked, after that it's doesn't matter too much if you remain neutral only.

Quinn's restaurant is where you buy sex.

It gives you the chance to shape Zoey's personality but also shows why she ghosted him and that Fuckface was wrong when he told Bella that she had a new boyfriend.

I should probably power through it then and try to resist the urge to fall asleep. Prologues really suck in my opinion.

Well, it's not a 'porn game' either, BaDIK is the definition of an AVN, with sex scenes as bonuses.

The story and characters are the main reasons this game is that popular, not the sex scenes.

It adds to the mystery of MCs backstory, I suppose it will connect many dots in the future.

And, well, there's only 3 scenes about the diary... I know it didn't make me depressed, more curious than anything.

Honestly, if you're depressed by that, I'll reach into an hypothetical future, but the next 2 seasons could be very bleak and depressing at various points, DPC is the creator of Acting Lessons after all.

No, not bad, unless you think depressing is bad, I know it isn't the case for me.

In fact, one of my top5 LIs in all the AVNs I played is in that game (Melissa).

But let's just say at some point it becomes -very- dark.

Yeah, absolutely. First game I cried, and I'm not even ashamed to say it.

That's why, to me, the only thing that saddens me so far in BaDIK is Quinns backstory, but there's nothing that comes near Acting Lessons... so far.

Well, he is a writer, that's why it's called an Adult Visual Novel, the best AVNs have great storytelling and writing. Of course not all of them deal with complex stuff, but DPC likes that, and I can't blame him, I love it too. That's why you've seen plenty of people theorizing about what's incoming, why this thread has over 200k posts (it's crazy). Otherwise people would play it and no one would remember it.

You know what I mean. Having story doesn't stop it from being a porn game. It only makes it better, though I wish there was more management in it. Rebuilding the mansion was probably the most fun part of the game.

Well, there is management, you manage your paths and your choices, that's why I don't use mods/cheats, I want to manage my MC the way I want, but like in life, deal with the consequences. And, I still disagree, it's not a porn game, it's an AVN, changing the story through choices we make, with everything in-between, character arcs and all, that's what I love about games like those. The sex scenes I honestly don't really care about them, they're alright but those I see as bonuses, nothing more, winning over those LIs is what turns me on.

But that's just my humble opinion, to each their own man

I agree with everything you said except for the management part. Choosing paths isn't really management. I also like consequences, but only the ones I want. That's why cheats are so nice to have.
