Thanks Dadadim. I will give it another play through..
Still found the POV-MC's distress a little out of character with a High DIK affinity..
would have made more sense for them to reject him for being a hi-DIK/Cheater than... Oh whaaaaaa I need tru love... or whaaaa you cheated on me... I could buy that react more with a High Chick....
Anyway, Thanks
Will play through again and try for a more nice guy.
DW and believe me you are not the only one who had that experience.
If you do a full run you'll come to realize just how big this goddamn VN is.Despite what the pink man says, he had initially planed a much more simple game, with fewer branches, less detailed renders, scenes etc etc. Plus he has the whole 5 main LIs being the ones that come together to advance the main plot. All of this taken together means that the game is filled with a lot of common scenes that forces these characters together no matter what affinity you have, or what choices you have made. In order for this to happen/ these common scenes make sense, a lot of the time he uses some over the top drama in order to make an excuse for that outcome to happen.
In the early part of the game the trick he uses is to create reasons for the MC to not immediately and exclusively sink all their time into one path (I wont discuss them here to not spoil you, but there are other "dramatic obstacles" involved with the other branches too). They make some sense, but it can often feel forced. Certain common scenes flow better on some branches versus others. Some of it is lazy writing, some of it is just due to the fact that the ideal way to make this game would require so much more manpower for a project that has already grown disproportionate out of size for one man to make.
However it is his baby, he wants to make it solo which means compromise.
