Thanks for the additonal explanation.

Still seems weird and frustrating to me that at least in my play through. It wasn't Josy and Maya turning the MC down... They were both saying... We love each other but we still want another chance with you... it was the MC saying and I forget the exact quote.. but something like... "I want true love, you broke my heart, so I will just be friends with you two." Seems to me a Total DIK would be like "Sure, you guys be in love and I will still date you both, but since you can't give me your heart yet... I'm going to date others too."

Any who... I will try a play through shooting for a more neutral POV... Josy and Maya are the only two characters I have a strong attraction to as a player... sure some of the others are hot... but those two are super my type.
Yup... I had the exact same reaction. And what's worse, you cannot tell these two gals to piss off. No matter what you do you're suddenly "besties" with them and will remain so, again, no matter what you do. I have the feeling its going the same way with Zoey, you can't just tell her to piss off and leave you alone because you don't even want to be friends. Apparently it actually the same with Jill, Bella and Sage, you cannot completely ignore them and no matter what you will always be at least "besties" with them. There's apparently no way to avoid asking Jill out on at least one date even though you as the player may not want to follow her path, you're forced into starting it. Bella you can avoid starting anything romantic and just remain friends at least, but even if you do a ton of stuff she hates, somehow you still end up friends with her. At least that's my current understanding of how it all plays out.

Do most of yall always accept Quin's offer in EP1 on a DIK run? I'm wondering if i'm missing out on story if i go Fully DIK SAGE and reject Quinn
I've only done two play thru's and only one serious one which was the Maya and Josy path. In that serious run, I accepted it but never used the service. At that point I didn't know much about this VN or how it plays out. So my thinking was he would accept just to find out and maybe get some evidence on Quinn and what she was up to, not to actually get involved. It seemed like to me, at that early point, that Quinn was looking to groom Maya to become on of her whores and since I was planning on following Maya's path I wanted the MC to protect her. So I was making choices I thought would lead to positioning the MC to have leverage or whatever to help Maya (at one point she talks about needing help with tuition and the MC agrees to help, so I kept his wallet full at $$$$$ waiting for there to be a point where he... well.. gives her money to help her out... which never happens  ).

Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed that this bit of detective work turns out to be... worthless. Even if you tell Maya Quinn is using some of the HOTs to make money (and connecting the dots on that and the "free tuition" that Maya is obsessed with isn't hard) gets nothing, because Maya looks back at the MC and says something like "you mean like doing community service". Makes you wonder just how hard she bleached that hair. Oh yeah, some of them are definitely servicing the community Maya... From then on the whole plot point gets ignored, the MC never bluntly explains it to Maya or to anyone else, they never tell Sage (who would be devastated by it given her relationship with Quinn and how much she cares about the HOTs) nor does he even ever use it to threaten or blackmail Quinn (or at least use it as a threat to make her leave Maya alone). It just sits there as an open secret ignored by every character in the game, and even the MC seems to forget its there.

Then the "restaurant" just disappears a few episodes in and now you have scene driven opportunities to buy sex from Sarah, Mel, or Camilla which apparently happen whether you accepted the offer from Quinn or not.

So, in the future, I don't plan to accept because it seems pointless and I don't like the idea of buying sex, just has no appeal to me. As someone else said, I guess it might make some sense if you are on Quinn's path, but otherwise... nah.

Mel also foreshadowed it after the halloween party.

I think the path to a successful throuple would be don't say you love either just yet, and spoon with the one who has the least RP. Though that whole thing could've been solved in a couple of ways

Don't spoon either, or spoon Josy and tell Maya that Josy now needs help, the same way she did, and Tremolo did this episode. But we don't get the options for that:)
Agreed... would have liked the choice to kiss both girls good night, then grab a pillow and sleep on the floor between them so you aren't playing favorites. Course girls being girls, they'd both probably soon been on the floor with the MC snuggled up and balance would have been returned to the force.

This is a constant in pretty much every game where you have the possibilty to choose different choices and it isn't going to change for this or any avn in this site. You can shape many relationships the MC has with cetain characters due to different girlfriends/or no girlfriend path but the MC won't change who he is at the core (due to the nature that it's a videogame and not even a roleplaying one at that) . Even if you go Massive DIK picking every dik option at the end the MC is who he is, only in that case he is also a Tommy copycat with a potty mouth in addition to being a senstive, way too emotional dude.

With main girls you can't opt out of them being involved with MC because DPC wrote the story as not a harem one and with the "Crossroads" payoff in mind I'll assume, so even if you opt out of doing anything romantically with any of the main girls, the MC will still have that realization moment after the recital only that his conclusion will be that he doesn't want a relationship just yet. What I found interesting of this moment is that what the MC wants from a relationship (who he compares himself with to either Tommy or John Boy) is not affinity oriented (at least I don't think so) since I remember doing a pretty much massive chick playtrough (barring restaurant and tanking the fake ID) and ignoring all the main girls focusing only on side girls and the MC still related to Tommy, funnily enough.

Serious question, why not? I'm not just referring to this AV, but you said ANY AVN on this site.... why? What's stopping someone from doing exactly that, having the option to tell one of the potential LI's to piss off, or the MC does something that causes her to tell him to piss off?

I get why it won't happen in this VN, because DPC wrote it that way... it is what it is.

If you do the full DIK route without utilising Quinn's restaurant you'll miss out on at least a 3some with Quinn and Riona, a gloryhole with Tara and someone else at the dorm party and some freebie sex scenes with Camila, Sarah, Mel and Riona instead of them asking for payment, you'll need them to unlock some of those special renders and 2d pictures. It's also quite easy to keep your wallet with enough $$$$$ in it by taking the money off Maya's board every time you re-enter her room.

the meaning and situation is not exactly that... Mc brings up the story of following one's heart only if they "try for something more"

mc "I don't know if this helps you at all, but..."
mc "Whenever I wasn't sure of what to do in life, my dad told me that making choices..."
mc "...while following your heart, will take you exactly where you're supposed to be."
mc "And that it is why some choices are harder to make than others..."
mc "...especially when your heart tells you to go against the grain."
mc "The biggest choices in life may be of great risk and promise a great reward."
mc "The scariest part about making these big choices..."
mc "...is that you have no clue if there's a turning back, if the outcome wasn't what you desired."
mc "But even how scary it may feel...just remember that first part..."
mc "Following your heart...will take you exactly where you're supposed to be."

and at that point according to affinity the girls accept or not. and if the girls don't accept MC still decides to give them another chance as friends (no sense... but DPC likes in this way)

if MC instead chooses to remain friends, there's no big talk
mc "And I'll give you another chance..."
mc "...but only as a friend.
mc "I can't do it any other way."

and there is no counter-proposal or dissatisfaction of the girls at least at the moment
