I'm roughly 60% done with Episode 12 development today.

Season 3 on Steam will have an optional 4K mode.

It was pretty funny seeing the "Now in 4K!" pop up in the trailer, alongside his slow and jerky animations

I could see him not using that exact title, but something that gets the same point across. "Cause and Effect" would be a classier version, kinda like "Paradigm Shift".

The reason Bella isn't shown yet is that she is an arsonist. This is discovered with her locked room reveal. While everyone is distracted with the cop/detective drug den bust, thanks to Quinn's meddling, Bella is busy planning her revenge/cover up. Where better a time than a big New Year's eve party with everyone gathered in one place?
The remaining group has to form an impromptu rock band on the spot to play a guitar hero inspired minigame. After successfully completing a run of Through the Fire and the Flames, the group is able to extinguish the flames and save everyone (except one) from Bella's BBQ .
It is revealed that Madame Rose is an undercover detective. She arrests James accomplice, Bella, after years of gathering proof (with the now unlocked room providing her everything she needs). It turns out the MC's grandfather owns the college (and the whole town) which the MC inherits with his grandfathers sudden death during the fire. The MC's life is about to take on even greater responsibilities...

Because they'll be made to. Either it will be someone like Sage who offers up the compromise as a "take it or leave it" or it could even be the MC and Chad being the ones to get in the middle of it and arrange the compromise, perhaps even with Sage also helping. Either way, it's going to be a singular party with both in attendance to try and calm the tensions.


Things are a lot different now than they were then, most notably the fact that Chad and the MC are on the same side now and they know someone's trying to pit the frats against each other. Also, that situation in Ep 7 was because they had been told to keep their distance from the Jocks because of recent events but that's like 3 months in the past now and they "made peace" in Ep 10.


Because this was a trick the DIKs and HOTs played so they could party together with it just seeming like coincidence. Completely different to this.

How or who could force Tommy to do anything? Tommy would choose "die." If it were up to Tommy, the HOTs wouldn't even have been at the Halloween party. Forget about having the ALPHAs and DIKs throw a party together. The only compromise would be for the HOTs to host the New Year's Eve party. But, true to Riona's logic, it might work for a while, but it would still escalate because mutual hatred is too deeply ingrained in the ALPHAs and DIKs.

I can understand why you're so insistent. I know it's so Camila says in Episode 9 why everyone can't celebrate peacefully together. I know it's so Sage says it might be possible. But Riona's is the most realistic.

I know it's so close to reality. Chad and the MC haven't made peace; they're just working together to sort out the issue with the letters and photos. It's nothing more than a win-win situation, but it's not peace.

Of course, that was a trick by the HOTs and the DIKs in Episode 10.

It's not the same location though. We've been to the boxing gym already and that's not it in that shot with the very pregnant Arieth.


We the players do the party planning though, not the college. So it will be a party put on with player input just as the other ones were, only this time it will be a party that includes the Jocks and maybe the party board this time wll be a mix of DIKs and Jocks to reflect that.


Which is why we're getting a party with both as the compromise, that way there will be no fighting over who gets the HOTs.

I was thinking that there might be a switch for the party board. Either we have 8 representatives for all the groups, which would seem to fall short no matter what (four fraternities, one sorority, dormies and teachers only adding up to 7) or we move up to an 8x8 board with more than 8 people to please. Call it 15 it being just short of twice for 8 just as 64 is for 36.

In the latter case who will be the new 7? I'd suspect the 5 main girls and a representative for alphas and betas as the main girls would double as representatives for HOTs, preps and teachers.

I think 4k is a bit of a waste, however it does future proof him. 4K will probably be where things are in a decade. When Lucas re-released Star Wars he did all the effects in 1080P, which limited them for the future. (not to compare the two)

I'm not surprised this is what he was doing. It's the only thing that really explains the really slow dev cycle.

If he's at 60% content then he could be targeting 350 animations (40 less than episode 11). Could be content complete by July next year.

If he's 60% in terms of production time then he could be compelete in June.

This assumes that dpc knows what 100% really is....

as the game proceeds. MELANIE approaches the door, anxious
for what lies in wait.

(CHAD raises his eyes, previously focused on the game, to meet the unknown woman)

Why do you keep going on about empty rooms and can't seem to grasp the simple concept that the angle of these shots is not showing the whole room? There's going to be more people in each of these rooms, you're just not seeing the whole room in these shots.

The fireworks have started, and everyone is outside. But why isn't Sage standing with her true friends, gazing melancholically at the sky? Her expression says something. She's celebrating without her true friends.

What sky? She's indoors She's clearly inside one of the rooms of this big party.

Nope. One party, one place, multiple rooms. Your idea makes zero sense.

I'm thinking that this is so the MC will only be at the ALPHA party if he's on the Sage or "Others" branch. Otherwise, Sage will be at the ALPHA party without her true friends. Why? Because she's aware of her responsibility as HOT's president. The ALPHA party is going to be awful, and there won't be many people there. But Dawe can't say anything because the HOT president is there. Sage is preventing an escalation between the ALPHAs and DIKs this way. She watches the fireworks knowing that her true friends will also be watching them at that exact moment, making her feel connected to them.

This is all complete nonsense what you're saying here, reading way too much into a single render and coming up with a crazy scenario out of nothing, but also the notion that the MC would be at separate parties depending on path.

That is absolutely not happening, and no, what happened in Ep 11 does not set any kind of precedent for that. In Ep 11 he was at the party then has the option to leave to be with the girl(s) he's in a relationship with. In Ep 12, this is the big season finale party where a lot of dramas will come to a head and he's not going anywhere because there's only one party.

I was talking about the party planner mini game. MC is going to help Sage plan the party. In ep 11 the game switched so that Nick was replaced by MC. It can of course just be the next event and MC just pays attention to the DIK side of it, but it would be more interesting if it switched again. And since the party is so big it would be appropriate for the board to get bigger to reflect that.
