I'm still butthurt about the idiocy of "rejecting" Sage when she only wanted to be fuck buddies in the first place... that shit NEVER made sense, and it still doesn't... she should be part of the "Others" branch cast too (as well as the current MG girlfriend path if you choose her).

nah, that's not true... like you said, it's the MC who starts with the "steady" bullshit (unlike Jill or M/J who were expecting a commitment)... he could've just backed down from the idea and continue to be her fuck buddy. Let's call it for what it is: a badly written forced choice because the game needed it at that point.
Well, Sage admits herself she was getting more ready for going steady because of what MC said to her, and then MC fucks it up. If he said nothing about it before The Choice, they could've stayed fuckbuddies.
I mean prior to the choice there was a scene during the spar at MCs room. (I havent play friendship to romance, only fwb to romance cause the sex scenes are hot). Where she is down for a "relationship", but the MC says you know I will be a rebound and we should go steady. So really its just MC being stupid lol
Well, it's not just the choice scene, imo DPC fucked up big with Sage in ep 7 & 8 with that whole thing about being the "rebound guy" (whaaaaat??) and his flip-flopping like crazy... but again, unlike the other MGs, specially M/J & Jill, Sage would've been perfectly okay to keep being FWBs... there was no real reason to "reject" her... if anything, it should've been Sage that rejected his dumbshit ass =P

This game story wise, ended for me at the Choice, the rest is just filler to keep the Patreon going. Always disagreed with being made to choose at that point in the game. That was an end game decision imo.
Well, yes and no, I get the idea to give players the choice to go steady with their favorite MGs... conceptually it's fine... but the problem is that it shouldn't have been forced in an "all or nothing" way, particularly for characters with whom it doesn't make sense.
I agree. even if you went for a MG, we should've been able to cheat on them with every (almost) every side girl (at least the already established ones) but for an increased amount of cheat points if we wanted to. We also still should've been able to hire Madame's services.

To be honest I never read her text and didn't even know who she was until I really followed this forum about 2 weeks before Ep 11 was released. But still, Tara was just a bystander/supporter of friends, why would she say that to her and not someone who was more important to the "Poster Girls"?
