There are simply better ways to answer that question that would reinforce people's faith than pulling out a humble brag like my numbers don't show declining faith in fact they are this high at the moment

I don't know really if there are better ways given what people are wanting from it. If DPC doesn't mention something concrete people would just say the same old shit anyway, that DPC is just believing their own hype and ignoring what the "actual players" are upset over.

What I mean is that for him to change anything in terms of development time, there would need to be serious dissatisfaction that would result in a drop in the number of patrons.
So far after the release of Ep.8, he's been on a stable plateau with small drops in the chart during the wait and jumps on releases. Only Episode 9 could make him check himself as not having lived up to the inflated expectations - his release figures were lower than the then-record-breaking Episode 8 - the party episode format is not something most players like. That is, if the majority of the audience is satisfied, there will be no changes.

Don't forget though there was also the Interlude in that gap, and it's clear opinion on that is still a lot more divided than anything else that's been released so far so that probably didn't help.

But yeah, I agree it has been pretty stable to slight upwards trend for a while now.

Ultimately there's no real way of answering the question that started this whole discussion cause at its root it was "you're taking to long to develop, what are you going to do about it"

Now the answer is obviously nothing as he has done for the last 12 updates, the majority of of which took longer than the last.

But ultimately every answer he can give is arrogant that boils down too, the updates take as long as they do, have been increasing in length, scope and release gaps and you lot still lap it up.

I'm with you he should have stayed clear of the question.

If it wasn't for the clear amount of effort they put in and the demonstrable quality of what's produced I'd also put it down to arrogance, but those former factors are why I don't think it's arrogance as much as exasperation at this point.

If I had to be putting up with years of complaints at this point (in many cases from people playing it for free) that it's "taking too long" despite how much they clearly invest in wanting to play more of it I'd also be at the end of my tether with that attitude. It's like an endless "are we there yet" on a road trip the people complaining wanted to go on.

The "episodes" are taking longer to make but the length and quality of them is always better and I think we both know if instead of that DPC released episodes of the same length and quality but faster people would just as quickly whinge about how their preferred characters didn't get the screentime they feel, that it's not "getting any better" etc.

At this point those people who are upset just want to be upset. I think it's completely meaningless and was only made because DPC wanted to make it, but all the stuff I do like is only made because DPC wanted to make that too so it's swings and roundabouts at the end of the day.

Frankly out of almost all the AVN projects on the go on this site, this one is probably the one that'd still get completed even if the patreon popped at this point. For all their faults DPC is extremely committed to their "vision" and wanting to complete it.

Yeah, DPC has said it himself that he'd finish this project no matter what happens to the funding and honestly, he's set for life already. The Patreon money is probably just going into his retirement and children's college funds at this point. From Patreon alone he earns at least as much in a single month as most people make in a year, plus game sales on Steam and other sites.

I'll start: there's very few girls that I actually hate, but just for the sake of discussion, I'm going with alady herself, Josy

Episode 11 did her no favors in my eyes, without a doubt my least favorite MG now. But I actually admire how she got everything off her chest during the hallway talk with Maya.

Throuple or not, her relationship with Maya is not working, and needs to be taken care of. Of all the uncertainty and doubt she's been feeling, the only thing she knows for sure is that she has strong feelings for MC, regardless of the circumstances. She is finally putting herself before others, and that isn't always easy to do. It is in stark contrast to how she handled things in Episode 4, afraid to speak her mind in fear of losing both Maya and MC, and again when she did not agree with the idea of "no strings attached" in the next episode.

Danielle is extremely annoying and a bit of a living caricature, her antics with Jamie hasn’t been good for him. However i find her model very attractive. The short purple hair, isn’t all that but the character model is quite pretty. #Would.
