Content is high, but quality and expectations are mixed. It is a hard sell, yes.I hadn't been in this thread since the EP11 release, how was it received, how were the reviews? For me it was a total delusion, thinking it took DPC so many months and with how many renderings where made, with high expectations and hyped plot twists.
Examples? I thought the visual quality was fine. The image quality was the lower we've seen in BaD, some characters were plain ugly most of the time (WTF happened to Mel's face?). Posing was the worst, clothes were just floating all around, deformed bodies. Chest area in the girls was an abomination in most of the renderings.
Apparently, there were no differences in character models. So sayeth the DPC. Dat cake has always been dat cake.Body proportions changing randomly. Zoey grew massively both tits and ass in a few days, how is that?
I agree. DPC is lame in the sex...game play options. There are a few options where you can get the girl to cum, but really...it's all static. It feels like every sex scene is starting from Date #2. Which is why it's shocking with Maya/Josy's S&M content, Bella and Nora's kinks, and why someone like Jade keeps working -- it's just crazy lust. Not love making. The exception being 1 scene with Lily. Seems to be working for most, though.Sex scenes with the LIs and others were crap: no dialogues, just the same sequence of positions, then cum. There were so few scenes, at least I expected them to be well made, well studied in all aspects. Nah, just the same DPC's approach "here is the mandatory scene that I have to insert, let's not waste time so I can better focus on minigames".
Threesomes were embarrassing. Camila+Sage, no kissing, no eroticism, that felt so mechanic, not inspired at all. Maya+Josy were lesbian more than bisexual, were it shows? There was no chemistry at all between them, so fake. It felt like a forced acting in a bad American porn.
90% agree. Party Planner is still fun, and key to the story -- our MC is the party planner, so it makes sense. I sure hope this has something to do with the DIK score for keeping the frat together, or else...I have no clue what the points mean.Minigames became so annoying, after the fourth replay I had to code a mod to skip them.
But still no music minigame? MC is a martial artist and musician, but none for his music side?
100% agree. Too many threads and variables for one writer to follow properly. Becky's behavior is again, whatever DPC feels like that time of writing. Now she's hated, then she's liked, then she's sizing up Zoey, now she sucks at sex...? Is she smart at sex, stupid with boys, experienced in life, drunk? The plot writing went full retard: MC cannot fuck both Sarah and Mel because he cannot recover after, what, 15-20 minutes? Since when? What happened to all previous scenes where he fucked EVERYTHING ANYTIME without any recovery issue?
Becky's behaviour in the sex scene is too absurd. I understand DPC wanted players to dislike her but that scene is full retard, crap writing.
Hit and miss. It definitely fizzled. The whole get the contract/don't get it went nowhere. Maya resolves her problem with her dad anyway. Comes down to a +5/-5 for Maya/Josy or Josy/Maya, or everyone's happy? I'm assuming this has to do with a throuple condition later to keep it together. But yeah, stupid conflict that auto-resolves. The illusion of choice.Maya's drama: gone full retard, again.
The cheating points, or now deviant points...we still don't know what they mean. I'm assuming it's because DPC can't follow the +character point system anymore, and STILL wants players to be able to make choices even after choosing a MG to follow after Crossroads...? For no reason? It's a flag variable as the old one is no longer relevant...?Game mechanics: a few tc (cheating) points (4? I don't remember) due to choices that MC's girlfriend could never know about or have no real betrayal/cheating aspect, lock out the "true love" dialogues by the girlfriend. Oh shit that's so lame!
Milk it baby! This is a VN that raised, and will continue to raise in the next years, millions of Euro. I sincerely expected something more.
